Aug 5, 2013I like to set my phones volume on 18/30. But it seems like every couple hours or so, the phone will reset it back to a default setting of 13/30.

View 4 RepliesWhen I reboot my phone, the volume sets itself to 20/30. I set it to 30/30 and reboot, it goes back to 20/30.
BTW, my phone has rebooted itself about 5 times since I got it on Friday.
My 1020 went from 100 percent charged to zero last night in three hours while in stand my mode. All apps that run in the background are blocked What could have happen?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI find call volume fairly low even at 10/10, On speaker mode its phenomenal, but the earpiece seems a bit faint. I'm guessing this is normal because I heard another person complain about it around here but I wanted to get a larger sample size.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI noticed this glitch first on Christmas morning when I was using Pandora, the volume wouldn't change and I had to restart the phone to make it work again, then again two days after but using the music and video app. Now again as I type this, I have the developers preview updates along with gdr3 and Nokia black.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've noticed recently that my call volume has dropped pretty significantly. I now have to press my 1020 hard against my ear to hear people clearly.
View 1 Replies View RelatedProbably 60% of the time when I hit the volume down button the option to change the Ringer/Notifications and the Media/Apps volume comes up. I can then, of course, mute the volume on each of those or obviously adjust the volume. However, the other 40% of the time, only the volume for Media/Apps comes up, with no option for the Ringer.
I think this tends to happen when I'm in my car which is communicating with my phone via Bluetooth....could that have a connection to this issue? Also, is there an easier way to mute the phone quickly? Cortana does not seem to perform the mute feature.
It seems that the call volume on my Lumia 1020 is getting lower and lower... It was fine when I got it about 6 months ago, but it is getting so bad that it is hard to have conversations on it, unless I'm in a really really quiet place...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI hate being blasted with notifications when I'm jamming out lol. Will this ever be a feature for windows phone? Its damn annoying to have the music blasting and get a notification that will blow out ur eardrums -_-

View 10 Replies View RelatedThe volume on my 1020 has been getting stuck at whatever level I felt it on. For ex: when playing a song at level 10 then playing a YouTube video the volume will stay stuck at 10. Even after pressing the volume up and down does nothing. The only fix I found was restarting the phone but then it just happens again...
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have been having a serious issue with my Lumia 1020 there is no audio from the phone what so ever. I cant hear people when they ring and they cant hear me. The phone does not let me play music on it or play videos unless I go onto the internet and look at a youtube video but there is still no sound from it. Another issue is that when I go onto the camera app and select to take a video the phone closes its self out of the app. It does this same thing in other apps were I try to play any type of audio. There is no volume control because when the buttons are pressed a small gray strip across the top of the screen appears and goes away after a couple of seconds. Mechanically the buttons work as a have performed multiple master resets on the phone which involves using the volume down button.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've just noticed on my Lumia 1020 that when I have a Bluetooth headset connected to it I don't have the option of adjusting the Ringer volume as the slider disappears. You can see in the screenshot that I only get the one slider for Bluetooth volume.
Is this normal? I found below a topic where someone thought it was normal..if I have the headset connected, but sitting on the desk beside me waiting for a phone call, and I want to adjust the ringer volume. I don't want to have it always in my ear when not on a phone call, and I would've thought the ringer volume for the phone should always be available? Volume/Mute for Windows 8.1
I have ringer volume on 25. I work on AC's so it can be a little loud.Prob is that when I open up the phone function and start dialing a number, the keypad volume is at, like, the speakerphone volumeAnd ridiculously loud. Is this a glitch or normal? My keyboard button tap sounds are fine as far as volume, but the phone number key tone is just obnoxiously loud.
View 6 Replies View RelatedOn my Nexus 5 the master volume control under settings seems to reset itself daily. The notifications and alarm volume setting turns down to very low even when I have set it to the highest volume level earlier that day or the day before. Its a problem when I'm using my phone as an alarm because I'll sleep through the alarm when it goes off and is very quiet! Is there anything I can do to stop it from resetting itself?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am already extremely hard of hearing and need every bit of extra volume. I can reset media volume as long as the bluetooth earpiece is not turned on, but as soon as I turn it on, it resets to a little more than half way up. how to change this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI specifically use my media player, and slacker radio through my chatterbox xbi2 bluetooth on my helmet while riding. About a month ago, I had my blackberry plugged into my truck via headphone jack, and the song volume kept reseting itself about 3 bars lower than max. I changed NOTHING. Since that day, I've had the same issue when streaming my music through my chatterbox via bluetooth with both media player, and slacker. Normal phone speaker seems to work.
View 6 Replies View RelatedA new issue with the 3.2 update. I set the speaker volume to zero and pressed OK. Later I attempted to reset the volume to full on. Next I initiated an MP4 movie (using the latest Quicktime); the movie plays fine but with no sound. I stop the movie go back to the sound setting and it has reset itself to zero. The same result with an MP3 music file. Is this a software compatibility issue?

I was one of the first to recieve a Nokia Luma 800. I was quite happy with it because I had wanted one since Nokia first announced they would build a Windows Phone.
During the software update to build 1600.2487.8107.12070, my phone froze. The update went well, but during the final restart, the screen just showed "Nokia". Eventually the batteries went dead, even thought the power cable was plugged in.
I brought the device to an official Nokia repair point, and got it back factory resetted. That first time it cost me half a day to restore my settings.
However, since that day, every now en then the phone just completely resets: I get to enter all my windows live account again and to reinstall all software. Today even installing software didn't work: I got an error message whenever I tried to install a program. I also noted an extra options in my settings page, starting with "@ApplicationsInstallfd7.." That time I manually restored my phone to factory settings, so I could reinstall everything again.
My guess is that it's either a hardware problem, or that the last software update failed. There doesn't seem to be an option to re-install the latest firmware, so I'm not able to check this.
The touch screen wont respond on my Icon even after multiple soft resets. I do have the developers 8.1 installed. If this would be a faulty phone or would it be something in the 8.1 download....
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a Nokia Lumia 1520 last week. Coming from an HTC One (M7), I am still impressed with the smoothness of Windows Phone OS -rarely I get any loading for an app. Moreover Metro has come a long way since the days of ZuneHD.
However I got a slight problem with the date/ time. Both the date and time gets reset back to 20 July 2013, 03:00 after the battery runs out or I try a soft reset.I already tried:
1) Setting the time on manual; it will reset back to manual time and the date/time above.
2) Setting the time on automatic, will still get reset back to manual and the wrong date/time.
3) Instead of setting the phone on 4G, I used the 3G and automatic. Same as above.
4) Setting the date manually and then to automatic, keeps the date/time I setup manually.
5) Turning the device off and on again (not soft reset with the volume key) will keep the date/ time regardless if it was set manually or manually and then automatically.
My phone has started to freeze when unlocking it, and sometimes when exiting an application. It basically stays on whatever screen was currently being shown with the navigation bar active (the back button, windows key etc), but none of the buttons work. The power button and volume buttons also have zero effect. This happens with both Windows Hello enabled and disabled (I sort of thought it was windows Hello related, but it doesn't appear to be).
View 11 Replies View RelatedIt was just officially annouced by Microsoft 40 minutes ago at the Windows Phone Summit that current windows phones would get WP 7.8 update with some features of WP8 but not WP8 itself.
The biggest worry is that WP8 will allow native code for apps, and that many apps will thus not work on "older" phones.
The Lumia 900 is only a few months old and the 800 and 710 and 610 are not much older (all are less than 9 months on the market), but they will not be getting Windows Phone 8 update just like all first generation Windows Phones. Nokia must have known for some time as well that current Lumia buyers would not get WP8 update, this seems unfair especially for Lumia 900 buyers.
How does Nokia plan to make this more fair for current Lumia users?
It's been over 14 Hours that my new Nokia Lumia 920 is hang. I could not understand the reason behind its malfunctioning as I was on a call and when I tried to hang up.It just choked and react nothing. When I wave my hand over the light sensor, phone lit up and shows me the same phone call screen with minutes and after few seconds it goes as if it is locked. I tried to take out the sim, tried turning it off..Used back switch 100 times but it did not reacted at all.If this is the way it is going to be...I would say Nokia is under water and struggling period will let them down to their certain end of corporation. I switched from iPhone and was very happy to purchase 920. Despite of other big issues I was holding back and was thinking to keep it as Microsoft will fix he bugs with new applications.
View 10 Replies View Relatedi cannot find quiet hours setting.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo today my Nokia Lumia Icon (Still on 8.0) had the "4 hour bug." This is where the phone gets quite hot and the battery lasts less than 4 hours on idle.
What was interesting to me, though, was after my battery died and I tried charging it, it'd get stuck in a loop.
1)Battery Icon with Red Line showing "Charging."
2)Vibrate
3)Nokia Logo
4)Repeat every 5-10 seconds.
Doing a Soft Reset fixed it (Volume Down + Power for 15 seconds) but I'm still wondering if there's been anything from Nokia or Microsoft about this issue other than "We are aware of it." It's been 10 months since this issue arrived on older devices, and it seems to be a Nokia-wide issue.
