I got nokia n79. When you turn on the mobile phone the buttons are working proper but after a short period of time they stop. Only the button for turning on is working. What should I do for make them work like they have to.
View 1 RepliesOn my old iPhone 4s a calendar reminder would stay visible until I had read it. My iPhone 6 plus seems to lose the reminder after a short period but certainly before I have read it. Is there a setting I have wrong.

Is there any way of extending the length of time it rings or is it something he is stuck with?

I've had my 9700 for 3 months now and was wondering if it would be safe to pull the battery out of the 9700 and leave it in the house. Then re-insert the battery and begin normal usage as soon as I get back from the trip? I'm afraid I might lose BBM contacts/SMS text messages due to the fact my phone will not be turned on/used in my month long absence.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI work out in the middle of nowhere quite often, where phone signal is either very weak, or non-existent. (I am with Orange BTW). The problem seems to be that when I have been out of signal range for a while, (shortest period so far about 30 mins), and I come back into range, my BB doesn't automatically pick the signal up. The only way that I know to re-gain the signal, is to turn the phone off (red button not battery re-boot!) and back on again. The phone then finds the signal and everything is normal again......that is until I go out of range again! Is there a shortcut to re capture the mobile signal rather than off/on?
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday the Home, Back and Search buttons stopped working in my Lumia 900. They don't work at all now. Zune says the software is up to date. I even tried a Hard Reset on it, but it didn't help.I tried once to boot without SIM card, and it seemed to help -- but only for a while after which the issue reappeared. Now I've been rebooting the phone a million times with and without SIM card and not seen the buttons working at all. Is it a HW failure?

I have two other accounts, one pop and one exchange, that work without issue. This imap account won't sync. If I delete and reinstall it works for a while and then the problem comes up again.

I bought an Elm just the other week and so far I've been very happy with it. This evening though, I tried to take some photos whilst out and the phone crashed twice for no obvious reason whilst trying to take a photo or shortly afterwards. What is going on? I've verified that the software is the most up to date version.
I've tried to repair the phone via the Sony Ericsson repair link. Apart from losing all photos and music it does seem to be okay now. Have I fixed the problem? I'm very disappointed. My previous K770i had similar problems in that it used to crash regularly, so it was with some trepidation I got another Sony Ericsson.
My camera cannot be open. I am always getting a message saying that the camera is being used by another application,but there seems no other applications running. The firmware version was 2.1 -update1 at first and after updating it with the same version, the problem still exists with very short standby time.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBefore I take this phone back to the store I want to find out if this maybe the way that RIM is actually making this phone now.When I get a new email or text etc., the led light flashes red like all the blackberries do but it only goes for a short time then stops. It starts again when there is more emails but again stops.
I looked in the settings and cant find what I would adjust for this. Either the phone is defective or this is the way the phone is.Any help would be appreciated as I will need to take it back within the next day or two.
It seem that WiFi scan in the phone eats up battery very quickly? I don't find a place to swich off the WiFi once swiched on?

For instance, if I unlock the phone via fingerprint, pattern, or slide the first touch doesn't respond and I have to tap whatever app or item I am trying to use. I'm using Cataclysm ROM with the most recent ElementalX kernel. Maybe it's a ROM/Kernel thing and I should try stock but just wanted to ask here.

When I plug it in the red notification light blinks for a while, then the charging logo appears on the screen for a short time and during that time red is light constantly lid, as it was supposed to, however then the screen goes black again and the light starts blinking.
I found a solution on YouTube which suggested me to tape power button firmly so it's always pushed and then charge it for an hour. I did exactly the same thing, nothing changed.
It's been more than 2 hours and my phone is still charging with the same cycle (blinking red light, then charging logo, then blinking again). I wonder what happened to my phone and what can I do now?
I realized that with using charging dock I can see a glimpse of Xperia and Sony logo but then they vanish. The phone seems to be restarting itself while I use the dock.
My N900 has stopped playing the handshake at boot up time, it only did it a few times early on, maybe 3 times, but now it never does, and the media player has never played any video, either the '9' preview, or any other. mplayer works fine. It has been suggested that it's broke, but dmesg does not indicate any devices not working correctly. And everything else works. The only issue I have is excessive battery consumption.

Prior to this if i had my music playing and the sat nav giving me voice directions over the fm transmitter in my car the music would be stoppped while the voice read out the instruction over the radio speakers, this would then revert to the music playing over the fm transmitter again, oh how perfect it was. Now unfortunatley after upgrading to nokia maps 3.0 when my sat nav decieds to give me verbal instructions all sound is taken from the fm transmitter and comes from the phones internal speaker (not via my car stereo) and to top it all of it doesnt even shut down the music that is playing so i have to try and decipher the sat nav instruction over the music, is anybody else having this problem or is it just me and more to the point how do i fix i

View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday my N8 stopped vibrating when it recieved a text message , I enabled vibration alert in the profile and checked if it was a hardware problem by calling . The phone vibrates when it gets a call but it doesn't vibrate when a message comes ! I did not install advanced battery monitor also ! I reset my phone and re-installed the latest firmware also , but still the problem persists
