Jan 24, 2010i really hope somebody can help, posting on behalf of my husband who has just bought the xpress music 5800, he loves the phone but the one bug bear is that it only rings for 10 seconds before going to voice-mail, i have the same phone and have no problems as my voice-mail switched off but as he relies on v-m for work he needs to have it on! Is there any way of extending the length of time it rings or is it something he is stuck with?

Nov 14, 2010I bought an Elm just the other week and so far I've been very happy with it. This evening though, I tried to take some photos whilst out and the phone crashed twice for no obvious reason whilst trying to take a photo or shortly afterwards. What is going on? I've verified that the software is the most up to date version.
I've tried to repair the phone via the Sony Ericsson repair link. Apart from losing all photos and music it does seem to be okay now. Have I fixed the problem? I'm very disappointed. My previous K770i had similar problems in that it used to crash regularly, so it was with some trepidation I got another Sony Ericsson.

Jun 4, 2010Before I take this phone back to the store I want to find out if this maybe the way that RIM is actually making this phone now.When I get a new email or text etc., the led light flashes red like all the blackberries do but it only goes for a short time then stops. It starts again when there is more emails but again stops.
I looked in the settings and cant find what I would adjust for this. Either the phone is defective or this is the way the phone is.Any help would be appreciated as I will need to take it back within the next day or two.

Jul 8, 2014Why this is happening right now but my phone won't charge. When I plug it in the red notification light blinks for a while, then the charging logo appears on the screen for a short time and during that time red is light constantly lid, as it was supposed to, however then the screen goes black again and the light starts blinking.
I found a solution on YouTube which suggested me to tape power button firmly so it's always pushed and then charge it for an hour. I did exactly the same thing, nothing changed.
It's been more than 2 hours and my phone is still charging with the same cycle (blinking red light, then charging logo, then blinking again). I wonder what happened to my phone and what can I do now?
I realized that with using charging dock I can see a glimpse of Xperia and Sony logo but then they vanish. The phone seems to be restarting itself while I use the dock.Â

Sunday I was a home and only opened it the phone 5-6 times, did not make a single phone call, and received only 5-6 e-mail. It was still drained after 12 hours. This is the 3rd BB I have had in 7 years and the first with this problem, use my last blakc berry over 3000 minutes a month and receive 50+ mails a day, and the battery lasted a day or two no problem.

Oct 24, 2011My 9300 Curve battery life was fine, but when I choosen APN as my default network, my battery was not even lasting a day (just a couple of hours).
I only use whatsapp and phone calls (very fell phone calls). Is this any problem with the configuration?
When my phone did not use APN as defaulf, my battery lasts almost 3 days - but whatsapp wasn't working w/3G.

Feb 21, 2010The phone has been dropped accidentally (from no great height and everything appeared to working fine) but now I've noticed the battery life will barely last 4 hours. Initially I put this problem down to the battery itself but after buying a brand new battery the same thing has started.
The battery will suddenly jump from half full on the indicator to empty, it'll then beep a few times over 5 minutes and then it'll be dead. On average I'm not having to charge the phone three times a day to use it.

Now, after upgrading to 081.004, the battery doesn't even last for a day. I have to charge it approx. every 20 hours and that's without calling, texting, browsing or using the phone at all really. Wifi and bluetooth are turned off and I didn't change any other settings.
