View 1 Replies View RelatedThe battery of my iPhone 4S started to discharge more quickly after I downloaded iOS 5.1, but before it was OK. My location services, notifications, push and wifi are all off, but even if I don't use my phone, the battery life is shorter than it was before.

The battery of iPhone 4 (not S) after upgrading to iOS 5.1 dies in 10-12 hours to 10% with Wi-Fi and 3G turned on.
With iOS 5.0.1 it worked for 2-3 days.
If I turn off wi-fi and 3G it stays for 5 days.
It seems that it is definetly the software problem.
The same problem appears on some more 3 iPhones 4 I know.
When the patch could be released?

I have a problem regarding the battery life on the Torch 9810. I have switched off everything I could but still no extension on the battery life. Maximum I get out of it is 6 hours. If I make a call I have to keep it on the charger to prevent it from cutting out in the conversation. What do I do now?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new 9900, and the battery lasts less that 12 hours, even with minimal use. I loaded all the latest updated, only have Wifi turned on, and one weather app., no downloads. Sunday I was a home and only opened it the phone 5-6 times, did not make a single phone call, and received only 5-6 e-mail. It was still drained after 12 hours. This is the 3rd BB I have had in 7 years and the first with this problem, use my last blakc berry over 3000 minutes a month and receive 50+ mails a day, and the battery lasted a day or two no problem.

I only use whatsapp and phone calls (very fell phone calls). Is this any problem with the configuration?
When my phone did not use APN as defaulf, my battery lasts almost 3 days - but whatsapp wasn't working w/3G.
Lately my battery drains within 6 hours after full recharge. The drain continues even when the phone is off. I tried switching off my apps not in use and it did not help.My phone is only 8 months old and am frustrated by the unreliability of the phone as I planned to keep it for at least 2 years. Is there a way of fixing this without replacing the battery?
View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night I unplugged my phone when I left work @5:30 with a full charge. I sent two SMS messages, was on the web for less than 5 minutes, turned wifi off and Sync off, had screen at dimmest setting. Phone still dies by 6AM with a brand new OEM battery. Should this be expected?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe phone has been dropped accidentally (from no great height and everything appeared to working fine) but now I've noticed the battery life will barely last 4 hours. Initially I put this problem down to the battery itself but after buying a brand new battery the same thing has started.
The battery will suddenly jump from half full on the indicator to empty, it'll then beep a few times over 5 minutes and then it'll be dead. On average I'm not having to charge the phone three times a day to use it.
I've had my e5-00 for about a year now and I could always get around 3 - 4 days of use out of it without charging. Now, after upgrading to 081.004, the battery doesn't even last for a day. I have to charge it approx. every 20 hours and that's without calling, texting, browsing or using the phone at all really. Wifi and bluetooth are turned off and I didn't change any other settings.

I have searched everywhere and there seems to be no solution, also there are 100's of users reporting the same issues but blackberry seems to dodge the subject and offer pre designed answers. Surely you can admit if there is a manufacturing issue and offer a proper solution instead of dodging the issue. Deeply dissapointed with this phone, and yes its on the latest os all apps are closed etc etc etc. stop tellling us this resolves the issue AND OWN UP TO THIS **bleep** YOU PRODUCED. Looking forward to a resolution else its off to every website i can find to log complaints and the istore
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Xperia Ray that recently starting draining the battery very quickly. I used to get around 36hours use out of it before charging but in the last week I been only able to get 3 - 4 hours max before it is completely drained. I purchased another battery and upgraded the Android OS to the lastest version but am still experiencing the same behaviour (short battery life).
View 3 Replies View Relatedafter upgrading my Defy to 2.2.2 it runs 24h at most on its battery. It ran at least 2 days before the update. Now it usually runs out of battery after work. By then it was last charged 11-12 hours ago.I installed the OS Monitor from the market to check what is eating up my battery. Turns out that the "init" process starts eating up all free CPU resources after a while. The phones runs smoothly for about an hour or two after turning on. But as soon as the init process starts using the entire CPU, battery goes down very quickly.I did not install any new apps after the update besides the OS Monitor. So the apps have not changed. Still the battey dies very quickly. What can I do to get my phone back to its old charge cycle?

Just got my Curve 2 last Thursday, and was liking it, but now I am having some issues with it... wondering if you guys can help me.
1: The battery life it bad! I took it off the charger today at about 9:00, and have used some texting, about 20 minutes of Pandora, and a little bit of internet browsing, and now my battery is at 75%... I like in a coverage area with 5 bars (more on next one), and I am not using wifi very much, with screen at 10%, 10 seconds off, and auto dim, so I don't know what it is...
2: As above, I have 5 bars in my house, but when I hold the phone it will go down to two or one, sometimes zero, switch to no service, and not get good signal until I set it down and leave it there for a couple seconds. Very annoying, because it makes it hard to load web pages sometimes. I would use wifi but it is slower and less reliable than Sprint's network for some reason. If someone could help me with these problems, or at least suggest some things, that would be great!
I’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.
i don´t have IMessage and the battery lasts very short even if i don´t use it

I have already read enough of this great forum post, I hope in the future to helpbeginners like me, one day we had to IOS (formerly had a Galaxy S2) and now we are more than comfortable with my 4s!I have the cell phone constantly charging, either in the Dock, when I go to bed, Through The cable in my university (when I'm in class or on the computer in the Library), this because the phone if consuming battery (I have the iOS 5.0.1) and hate running out of battery (no phone) when I'm away from home. Then the doubt (I've already searched in many forums) is whether this is detrimental tothe battery of the phone, or simply when the iPhone detects that is loaded, just stops receiving load and nothing happens:

So had my N900 for a little over a week now and overall I'm pretty impressed. Great phone, but still very much a work in progress. One of the main issues I have at the moment, other than no turn-by-turn navigation (sorry, had to mention it), is the battery life - or lack of!
On an average weekday I use the phone to send a few texts (no more than 10), scan the news sites (no more then 20-30mins total) and catch up on my RSS feeds (again, no more than 20-30 mins total). I'm not using the media player at all and I may make one or two short calls.
Bottom line is that I'm struggling to get more than 6 hours battery life out of it. I know smart phones are thirsty, but I don't even get to listen to music on my way to or from work! Here's what I've already done to reduce battery consumption:
Removed active widgets (such as ForcaWeather) from desktops and replaced with web shortcuts.Reduced screen brightness to 2 barsDisabled GPS & Network positioningDisabled IMDisabled BluetoothI've heard some mention reducing the amount of active desktops, but I think that kinda defeats the object of having a N900. May as well buy a lesser phone if you need to strip out all the functionality to get though the day. I'd be satisfied with 8-10 hours medium use. At the moment I'm getting around 6 hours at light use - got to be something I'm missing.
know the battery capacity of the XOOM (MZ601), mine is 3260mah Reason for the question is my xoom, replaced about a month ago used to give me 5 days life, now its 2 days, and thats just scraping in.... No SD card, same apps, same usage pattern

View 9 Replies View RelatedLast night I charged my phone to 100% from a dead battery, was finished around 2am. I used twitter and played a little fruit ninja, made a couple calls today and used some WiFi. I turned on my battery percentage and it was 47%... Pre 4.1 I would still have around 70% left.
