Apr 30, 2010I’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.

May 2, 2012The battery of iPhone 4 (not S) after upgrading to iOS 5.1 dies in 10-12 hours to 10% with Wi-Fi and 3G turned on.
With iOS 5.0.1 it worked for 2-3 days.
If I turn off wi-fi and 3G it stays for 5 days.
It seems that it is definetly the software problem.
The same problem appears on some more 3 iPhones 4 I know.
When the patch could be released?

Dec 5, 2011I have a new 9900, and the battery lasts less that 12 hours, even with minimal use. I loaded all the latest updated, only have Wifi turned on, and one weather app., no downloads. Sunday I was a home and only opened it the phone 5-6 times, did not make a single phone call, and received only 5-6 e-mail. It was still drained after 12 hours. This is the 3rd BB I have had in 7 years and the first with this problem, use my last blakc berry over 3000 minutes a month and receive 50+ mails a day, and the battery lasted a day or two no problem.

I only use whatsapp and phone calls (very fell phone calls). Is this any problem with the configuration?

Feb 21, 2010The phone has been dropped accidentally (from no great height and everything appeared to working fine) but now I've noticed the battery life will barely last 4 hours. Initially I put this problem down to the battery itself but after buying a brand new battery the same thing has started.
The battery will suddenly jump from half full on the indicator to empty, it'll then beep a few times over 5 minutes and then it'll be dead. On average I'm not having to charge the phone three times a day to use it.

May 23, 2010Has anyone else been having battery problems with their N97 mini battery recently.It started 7 days ago for me. I unplugged my phone mid charge, and noticed that on my phone the battery icon was still moving as if it was charging. I thought it was cute because maybe the atmosphere or my charisma were still charging my phone for me. I restarted my phone and it returned to normal. The following day my phone did the same thing, only this time I didn't restart it, but eventually my phone ran out of charge. Since then the battery life on my phone has been very poor, I only get about 8 hours max, and thats when I have not been on the net or made anything more than one 10 minute phone call. The battery icon has stopped moving when its unplugged, but the battery life is terrible.I have updated my software today so I will monitor it, but seriously is there something up with my battery? It has left me short two days now where I am in town and my phone has died. I am not happy.Any suggestions people?

Mar 31, 2010Ok seriously... this is BS [exscuse my language] but this is my second Blackberry Curve 8900 and second battery and I've only had blackberry for 11 months. The first 8900 the battery started draining rapidly after 4-5 months and kept deleting everything on my microSD card. I had it replaced... now this second 8900 is doing the same thing. I've had the second 8900 for 4 months. I charged it all night, took it off the charger at 7am; by the time i was out of class it was red and going dead at 10am!
I do not have wifi on, no bluetooth... and also, it pings [like I've gotten a new text or email], the LED light will flash red but there won't be a message or missed call!
Anyone have this issue too? I am having it replace for the second time, this will be my 3rd blackberry 8900. If I have issues and problems again, I will have to say goodbye to blackberry. Even though I love everything about BB, the style, the keypad and so forth, I need something that won't die on me after 4-5 months!
