found this topic from before.since i have this number 6 problem of my 6600 fold. I updated my phone to version 6.20 from an older version that was 5.xx . after the update my 6600 fold freezes when i press number 6 or rapid press. I did not have this problem before the update i can see that its an old problem of the device hope nokia will fix this problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post to this forum and i am really hoping for some help. I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Phone. It is about 7 months old and has developed a really annoying and frustrating fault over the past few days - progressively no getting worse by the hour it would seem. The phone freezes after receiving a text, phone call, internet usage or just generally pressing one of the function buttons. Some times if you wait long enough it does free itself but more often than not it will end up me removing the battery to reset the handset. Nothing appears to work properly on it anymore - the battery appears to drain within hours of charge. Really fed up with it now. Carphone Warehouse and Orange are blamming each other ( no change there). Yes i can take it to a repair centre who will either do it on site ro send away. I have completed a soft reset but has made no difference. I am now tempted to do a complete hard reset once backing up my contents etc

I have E72-1 with 023.002 FW and whenever in stand by mode I press a number key several times quickly, the phone locks for a couple of seconds before displaying the numbers. If I press different numbers in sequence it's fine but whenever I press the same number quickly several times it happens. For example try to press the number 0 five times or more very fast and tell me if it displays them as you are pressing. I formatted the phone but it didn't cure the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my 3 yrs old nokia 6600.it got a strange problem ,it just get turned off on its own .whenever you can think while charging .idle or in my pocket.and after starting it asks for date and time,sometimes it didn't starts but it starts when i tap the phone on my palm .i also noticed that it also get turned off when tapped in on position.Now it doesn't starts at all,screen lights up momentarily only when charger plugged in and switched on.then it gets off.i have tried other batteries,sim also,reset it but no use.

However, the device specific version doesn't support Windows 7. So I am stuck. Is there a workaround to either force the device-specific version to work on Win7 of get the 6600 to work with the normal PC Suite?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've recently got my hands on a Nokia 6600 Slide, and I'm quite happy with it. I would also like to use it as my personal music player, but I have one issue.When I listen to music, I mostly listen to the whole albums, and in the case of most albums I listen to, the track order matters a lot. However, when I copy an album from my hard disk to the memory card of my phone, I cannot get the album to play in the correct track order.
For instance, I click "Play" on an album I select in the Music Player application. Then, rather than playing tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and so on, it plays track 4, 3, 6, 2, 7, 1, and so on - this track order is always the same (for one album at least), and it seems I cannot correct it. The "shuffle" function is turned off, mind you. The files are usually named "number. title.mp4", or "artist - number - title.mp4", and they all have track tags.
My 6600 slide starts up but complains that "Phone memory almost full. Delete items?" but before I can select any to delete, the backlight turns off and won't come back on or turn off fully. Only way to continue is remove battery to reboot. But then the same thing happens. There are way too many messages stored, I know, but just can't delete any. Is there a way to access with the computer and do the deletes?

I have never had a mobile phone that has such poor signal quality,and it drops calls due to this.Just a question to nokia I quote:When designing this phone and you located the antenna at the bottom of the phone where 90% of the time when you pick it up it gets covered, did you not think it would have an affect on the ability of the phone to pick a signal up.When I turn the phone upside down I get a brilliant signal and the 3g network is a lot stronger. I can't cope with this anymore and using a phone I had 3 years ago only because it works!Come on nokia help us out as am tied into a 18 months contract with a phone that is useless even though all the other features are good. I believe there should be a recall on this phone as I have compared signal strengths with other nokias and makes and they are far better.

I was successfully using Nokia Maps GPS navigation having purchased a license key for UK/Ireland in January 2011. I have an external bluetooth GPS device. Howver, the Maps license key has now expired (as expected, it was a 1-year licence). Without a license I cannot use the voice-guided navigation function.When I go throoug the phone menus to purchase a 1-year license again, I get to the menu that asks which payment method I wan to use (I select Visa). At this point the screen just refreshes, with no message or error code. I am not asked for payment card details. I cannot get past the "payment method" menu.
This process worked just fine for me in Jan 2011 when I first purchased a license, and other web browing functions using the built-in web browser are just fine. I have tried refreshing the Nokia software (It was already at V6.55, which is the latest level).
This just started happening on Saturday night. I would press the red phone button to turn off my phone and within 15-25 seconds my phone reboots itself. I have the Bold 9650 OS 5.0.0.699. Also on Sunday afternoon I dialed *228 (Verizon) to update my roaming capabilities.it was successful and after about 30 seconds by phone rebooted itself. Yes, I have done a battery pull.

I bought an N900 yesterday and during install, the thing went down although it was plugged in. I let it down and tried to load the battery all night long. This morning, I rebooted but it kept freezing on the 5 well known dots.
I searched how to flash the N900 and succeeded in it. Problem is that, as soon as it's booted, it reboots right away.Can it be that the battery is dead? After loading a whole night long, the battery should be fully charged, no?Also: if the battery is broken, it doesn't give current through to the machine, is that possible?
Remark: sometimes the device says "internal application error: camera application closed". But that only happens once in a while and I guess it is due to all the previous reboots it did...
I am looking for a new mobile phone on o2 pay as you go. I want it to have a good MP camera with flash,good memory,video,radio,mp3 player,internet & Bluetooth.I have got my eye on the Nokia 6700 Classic but i have heard that it turns its self off & freezes. Alot of people dont like the headphones that comes with it but i think i can live with them other than that i have read good reviews.If anyone has got a Nokia 6700 Classic it would be great for your replys as i want to be sure befor i get it.

I'm currently using E72-1, V 031.023. A lot of times, when I get an incoming calls, my phone freezes once I click the accept button, it freezes for like 20 seconds, then either accepts the call, or hangs up. Also, when I dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number I press to display on the screen. I tried soft resetting, hard resetting, both fixes the issue for the 1st few hours, then both issues happen again!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my new lumia 920, and apperently my store was in sweeden.So i got the phone, turned it on and changed the language to norwegian, it freezes up all the time. and i have to do a hard reset (volume down + powerbutton)
And then i did a factory reset.. and i thought.. maybe it works okey if i leave it on sweedish..
So i turned it back to norwegian and it started to freeze up again. And why do the clock reset when doing a hard reset ? thats the only thing that reset back to factory default when i do hard reset.
And for some reason it looks like it's working okey now when the battery is less than 14 %, wich make my phone kind of useless..
Sometimes my touchscreen freezes up when im unlocking the phone, it may happen when sliding up the lock screen or when entering the password i set for it to unlock.I have to turn my screen off and back on again to get it to work properly again.It's not a huge problem, but it gets irritating when receiving a call and not being able to answer it without turning your screen off and on.
This started happening recently, already tried a factory reset which didnt work obviously.Deleted all applications i had installed, and made sure all applications were closed properly by using the back button.
I bought this phone (N8) for its camera capibilities, and now whenever I try to use it, it freezes the phone completely! Like **bleep**? This phone has been nothing but problems ever since I bought it new.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy phone keeps regularly crashing/freezing- and keeps requiring me to pull out the battery and put it back in and restart! Its annoying and i believe that in the long run this might be damaging my phone. This happens/has to happen often, and also, even within the same day few times! e.g. - if I am texting people, suddenly it may freeze and requires battery pulling out! I do have a few applications, and about 4mb free on the phone on average (currently 7mb). I am on latest firmware.

I installed the v20 firmware on my phone and found that it was acting up (froze, restarted on its own...sometimes it wouldnt ask for my security code) so i reinstalled the firmware (both times it was through NSU) and now i cant turn my phone on - lol? I tried the hard reset combo didnt work.. took out my battery 30 minutes/whole night and still nothing If i try to turn it out i just feel that vibration..and same when i try to hard reset.. Is Nokia care centre my only option?

On previous symbian devices this was largely solved by freeing up some phone memory, is it the same on the n900? df -h / in x term says 71% free. or is this normal for the phone, given i flashed it recently and that apparently made no difference
A few days ago my phone just suddenly started pressing buttons on its own and ignoring my button presses. Turning off the screen and turning it back on again fixes it temporarily, but within just a few seconds it will often continue again.
Is this a virus? Or is my phone broken? Nothing happened to cause it to break.
sometime my s6 phone screen goes off and blue light blinks slowly, and screen never gets on by pressing any button. unless wait for battery is fully drain and you put it back on charging then it will get on. for that you have to wait whole day to get battery drain

With the addition of the Nokia camera software and it being the default, I have to unlock my phone before it goes into the camera. If I switch the button to the standard WP camera app, I can take photos while unlocked.

The sound just comes to the earphone when the call is received. Also, the calls cannot be received by pressing the hardware key on the ear phone receiver.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have problem with waking the phone with power/lock button. Every few hours (for my usage once a day) the phone doesn't wake after locking. I have to press and hold power/lock button for a few seconds to manualy restart it. I know that N5 has notorious problems with power/lock button but as far as I know its problem with phone not going to sleep. I don't have problem with that.
I noticed this after an update to M. I am on XtraSmooth 29.10 build with RacerKernel 28.10. DT2W dissabled. Also i have the usual problem of turning screen on after calls. For me the phone sometimes doesn't turn on until the other person ends the call. Do I need to replace the power/lock button?
