Nokia 6600 :: Pressing Number 6 Freezes Phone?
Mar 21, 2010found this topic from before.since i have this number 6 problem of my 6600 fold. I updated my phone to version 6.20 from an older version that was 5.xx . after the update my 6600 fold freezes when i press number 6 or rapid press. I did not have this problem before the update i can see that its an old problem of the device hope nokia will fix this problem.

May 11, 2012my torch has started a wirless update but when getting through back up freezes between 8 an 20 % . Have noticed in forum that this is known but for a computer update you just take out this as a back up option but on a wireless update the phone is stuck if I do a battery pull and put itback after few mins it starts again and tries to update is there anyway to cancel update or solve this. tried pluggin into pc but doesnt do anything different.

Dec 26, 2014What'sApp is crashing may times after the latest update. It freezes the whole phone and then restarting it happened about 21 times tell now and finally it crashed and i can't login anymore ...

Dec 1, 2010My Vivaz is having problems by saying I have used all the phone memory, when I haven't. I check the memory and apparently there is 33mb used by "other". There is no "other!". So I was thinking of updating my phone to wipe it and start again and see if this fixes the problem. I downloaded a newer version of the update service for my computer, turn off my phone, take out the battery, re insert the battery, hold the call button, plug the usb in and after a good while, still nothing has happened. And then the update service decided to freeze and won't let me exit so I keep having to restart my computer. What is wrong with the update service/my phone?

The software also sometimes will perform the wrong function when an icon or button on the phone is pressed. Jul 15, 2010So yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

The only way to get the phone to operate is to remove the battery and to replace it for the phone to start up again.This allows you to operate the phone until it goes dark again. The battery is showing as almost fully charged so it is not a battery problem and I am running the latest software v7.0.0.585.This does not happen when the phone is busy charging!

Aug 1, 2012I have had my blackberry bold 9900 for about 6 months now. IN the last 2 months i will go to call someone and the phone is silent(No ringing or voice from the other person). So i started pushing keys on my phone to see if i could hear that and i have come to notice that if i hit "#" all of the sudden it starts ringing or the persons voice is there on the other end. They can hear me the whole time but I cannot hear them. When it starts doing this silent thing I am able to hit the # key for about the 1st 2 phone calls then it does not work what so ever. The other person can hear me but I can hear nothing. I then have to take my battery out and restart my phone and it will work for a few hours or maybe a day but then does the same thing again.

I transfered my contact list but now when a contact rings their name doesn't appear but the number only as all the numbers are prefixed with +61 (I am in Australia) whereas from the contact list the numbers all begin with a zero. (So the number dialling in doesn't match with any numbers stored in the contact list). I didn't have that problem with 8900.

Dec 3, 2015I sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?
