Nokia Nseries :: X6 - How To Turn Off 3G Completely
Mar 27, 2010
How do I turn off 3g on my X6 16gb? I want to ensure 3 mobile don't get funny with bandwidth. Also I am coming from a nokia e71 (I am actually quite disappointed with the X6) and when making a connection the e71 would ask which connection I wanted to use. How do I get that dialogue box up?
I have a nokia n97 and I want to know how to complete format it. I want to delete everything on my phone : settings and applications and everything and reinstall the software again ! I want to get it back as the first time I get it. I don't just want to restore factory settings.
A quite simple complaint - for Symbian S60 v3 - The screen completely BLACKS out after X seconds (configurable up to 90 seconds) no matter what settings you use. (Latest firmware.) I can't find a power-saver disable anywhere in the options. I want to be able to use a permanent screen saver display, such as a greyed-out clock on low power display, or the status + time blue and white stripe. This is fine on my older N76 and many other models. Why has this feature been excluded?
I have a problem with my nokia n86, when I go to Photos > Captured photos and I "travel" by the months that the pictures were taken, for some pictures, the preview image is completely different than the actual image! For example, I browse the phone for some the pictures taken in september 2011.
Then, when I choose one and try to use it, or even if I enlarge the picture I chose, I find out that the preview is plain wrong. This bug is for most of the pictures I took. This is really annoying - I can't find pics I took and use them. I must move them all to the computer. Also restart wont fix it. And I tried to update the software but it is the latest.
Well I have this phone for over 2 years and now I have a big problem with it that won't go away. The screen goes completely into stripes and is unreadable. It just showed up like that and it's always when I use the screen-lock button (slide button on the side) that this happends and then stays.Once I got rid of it by rebooting the phone almost 10 times or turning it of a whole day but as soon as I use the screen-lock button (slide button on the side) it comes back.
I've just bought a 701 and the backlight won't turn off unless I lock the phone, it just dims down a little after the "Light time-out" period.I've done the "Delete data and restore" reset 3 times already, and left the memory card out afterwards. Is this normal and nothing more than a bug?
I've just got a Nokia 500 to replace my X6 and its a great little phone, but I can't find a way to turn off WLAN to conserve the battery. I set it up to connect to my home network, but everytime I disconnect it on the phone using the widgit on screen, it refreshes a few minutes later and reconnects - I've turned scanning off and set connection to manual but it made no difference.
My computer went down in the middle of, doing a software update. So now the phone only vibrats when I turn it on, it vibrats for like 30 sec. and then nothing.
I've had my N8 for a year and a week.Four days ago when I wanted to turn up my phone it kept loading for several minutes then the hands logo appeared but froze int the middle. After the hands logo froze the phone kept loading again for several minutes then the hands logo appeared again . I tried pressing the power off button for 8 seconds but the phone only turned off,and when I tried to start my phone it did the same. I send it to Nokia Care but they said they couldnt do anything because they probably think there is something wrong with the motherboard. I don't know what to do anymore.
while updating the software through nokia suite it suddenly said that it had lost connection to the phone, and then went to the home page of the suite. This left my phone with a white screen and it wouldnt respond to anything. I tried re installing the software and such, but still white screen. FInally I took the battery out, and now it wont turn on! I push the power button and it vibrates, then nothing. This tells me that its not dead, and when i connect it to the computer it disconnects right away. I tried removing the battery for a few minutes and taking out the various cards, but nothing.
Okay, I know what you're thinking...USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION! But I have and I have tried all the solutions I could find on google and here. I've tried turning it on with just the bat, bat/mem, bat/sim, etc charged my phone and what not and still nothing. It just won't turn on.I even tried hard resetting it but nothing works. When I press and hold the power button it just vibrates once and doesn't do anything. When I hook it up to the pc, it recognizes that there's a nokia phone there...I think...but it only does when you click and hold power and i vibrates.
I found a pile of people who are having the same problems - The Nokia N8 won't reboot, start or even charge. Its just like its DEAD and that's what's happens to mine and I'm very pist off.

before you think about buying a NOKIA N8 I only wish I had have gone into the store and brought what,I originally went into buy and that was an iPhone - **bleep**!!!!
i recently had to reboot my device because my web was not working. i took out the battery like i usually do, but now the device will not completely turn on! It loads very slowly and the white "progress bar" won't go past about 3/4 of the way. i took the battery out about 3 more times with the same result.
My Iphone is completely frozen and will not turn on. I have held the power button down for like 30 seconds and still nothing. It's even on the charger and still will not come on. What can I do?
My 701 running on belle fp1 doesn't turn off the display after locking the phone? It's just keeps the display always on.Restarting solves the problem but this is happening again and again.
I just updated my Nokia N97 mini and the new software update brought emoticons to my text messages. I don't want to use them and I can't stand them but I can't find any setting to turn them off. My Symbian version is 30.0.004(.C01.01)
My n97 will charge and the screen be on the white nokia charging screen.. but when i press the power button on top, nothing happens. I don't understand why this is happening at all.
I've had my nokia 6120 for a while now and it has always been a reliable phone, but yesterday for no reason it decided it wouldn't open my contacts or let me create new messages. I turned it off thinking it may have just been glitching or something but then it wouldn't turn back on? I removed my sim card and it started up fine except I still couldn't open the contacts, etc so I then tried to factory reset it and it wouldn't let me open it so I attempted a hard reset by hitting the four buttons but it just turned the phone off and back on with no difference to the phone what so ever, please is there anything else I can do to fix my phone? I love my 6120 and it would be a real shame if I had to get rid of it.P.s the sim card is fine,
