IPhone :: It Is Completely Frozen And Will Not Turn On?
Jun 26, 2012
My Iphone is completely frozen and will not turn on. I have held the power button down for like 30 seconds and still nothing. It's even on the charger and still will not come on. What can I do?
I attempted to do an ios update tonight...I think it was from 5.0 to 5.01 (not sure). It went through the downloading process and I believe it was at the point of restarting/installing, not quite sure, I wasn't totally paying attention. But then I got a message from iTunes saying that an unknown error occurred and the update could not be completed. Now my phone appears to be completely screwed.
I'm left with a screen on my phone that has the iTunes logo at the top and below is an image of the iPhone USB connector. I can't get away from the screen...turn off/on, hard reset, etc all takes me back to that same screen. What's worse, my iTunes is no longer showing my phone as an option. It's like my phone is no longer recognized at all. I've unplugged and plugged it back in several times. I've restarted iTunes, restarted my computer, etc.
My second BB bold 9930 is frozen. It stops on either the 1 - Verizon startup screen OR 2-BB home screen, depending on what happens after rebooting. Completely unreponsive to all buttons except reboot when on BB home screen.
I have done the following: soft reboot, multiple soft reboots, hard (battery) reboot. AND...Because the phone is completely stuck, my BB desktop software manager can NOT read/connect to phone...."connecting to phone".. If NOT, can I somehow retrieve the information located on 'my device'...as opposed to stuff stored on media card?
It has been freezing up the last couple of days. I downloaded I took this on my phone app from bb apps and since then its completely frozen, cant switch on or off and just have a message that the phone cannot access data. I have tried taking battery out and leaving for over 10 mins, cant do a soft or hard reset as need to get into the phone and cant.
I downloaded an application for my phone, and now its completely frozen. I cant use any keys, nor my track pad. It wont even recognize it on my computer. Yet when the back light goes out and I press a button. The screen lights back up, but I still cant use any buttons. I have tried taking my battery out loads of times, but it doesn't seem to work, I have even left the battery out for a couple of hours and that still hasn't worked.
It said I would not be able to use my phone for 2 hours if I did the upgrade so I clicked ok. Two hours passed and the upgrade was still at the 10 % backup process. I took my battery out to hope I could use it again but it starts up and own the exact same thing. Goes to 10% and freezes out.
I tried to access my phone to read a text message, only to find it had completely frozen. I did a battery pull and my phone came back on, only to see an error message saying "error application uncaught exception" or something along those lines, and my SMS app had been deleted from my phone. i clicked "show all" and nothing came up. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop manager twice to update the software to see if that had any effect but it kept getting stuck on the back up on my computer, so I disconnected it both times. I tried to install the software update on my phone itself, and now its stuck on the back up data page (again) but this time on my phone. It says "social feeds 0%" and "overall back up progress 5%". I did another battery pull but its brought me back to the same screen and I cannot use my phone at all.
I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 to check it out. Being in beta, I was already aware of all the bugs that were going to be happening. After much frustration, I decided to downgrade bake to iOS 7.1.1. While I was doing this, my iPhone completely shut off, it will not turn back on even when I plug it into a wall charger or the computer, and iTunes is not recognizing it either.Â
My iPhone 4 is completely destroyed. I can't get a new one at the moment and am using an old android until then.Â
In order to receive any messages from iPhone users via my spare android I need to turn off iMessage. Can't turn off iMessage via iPhone because screen is completely black.Â
My iphone has frozen and I can't turn it off or charge it or sync it or go to any other pages. I tried removing my sim but that didn't make any difference. I can't receive calls they just get my voice mail and obviously i can't make calls. I have tried holding the lock button in for long periods but it makes no difference I can't turn it off either.
I can´t turn off my Iphone, while it was charging the battery a lost call and the the mesaage of this call got frozen at the screen and now I can´t do anything with the phone. It just doesn´t allows me to make a phone call or use the apps in it. How can I fix it?
How do I turn off 3g on my X6 16gb? I want to ensure 3 mobile don't get funny with bandwidth. Also I am coming from a nokia e71 (I am actually quite disappointed with the X6) and when making a connection the e71 would ask which connection I wanted to use. How do I get that dialogue box up?
i recently had to reboot my device because my web was not working. i took out the battery like i usually do, but now the device will not completely turn on! It loads very slowly and the white "progress bar" won't go past about 3/4 of the way. i took the battery out about 3 more times with the same result.
