View 1 RepliesI recently bought a used N8 to replace my old one that got stolen, although it works perfectly, I've had a couple of occasions where it has switched itself off overnight, & I cannot switch back on until putting on charge, despite the phone being well charged the day before. Is it possible that an app I've downloaded could be causing the battery to discharge overnight?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a Blackberry Curve 8520. I plugged the phone in to charge about an hour ago and it seemed to work alright. I then went to move my phone plus charger upstairs so i could charge it overnight, plugged it in with the same charger it worked with earlier and no sign of charging. I've tried with my pc charger aswell and tried different plugs/chargers.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy b.b 9300 has been switching off on its own for the past week and then reloading. today, it did it again, got half way across and then the screen turned white. it has now gone into squared off bits with a black splodge with green edging around the splodge. what is it and how will the shop react to me taking it back. it does look like it has been dropped but, i know it hasnt. It this a regular problem with the 9300's?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry curve 9360 not switching on, it was fine in the morning, later in afternoon, when i check i was in s/o mode. So i tried charging it. As soon as i switch on charger Red light glow for few seconds.
However now it is more than 2 hours still not getting switch on.
Yesterday Morning I put my BB Curve 9300 on charge for around an hour to get its 100% battery back as I would be traveling for a while in the car with out any source to plug my BB in, My BB was perfectly fine. Throughout the day I used BBM quite a bit and some of the games that I had installed onto my BB. Around 3pm I notice my BB was very low on battery so I put it on charge and left it for 30 minutes and returning only to find out it had not charged at all and the battery was empty> I had checked to make sure my charger was firmly in the plug socket which it was and made sure the cable had not come loose from my BB which it had not. I took the battery out of my BB and gave it a good blow and the inside of the BB too as this normally works. I put my battery back in and a solid red light came on which then faded. Usually When you put the battery back in the phone starts up and it works fine but now the red solid light will not even show.
I have tried leaving it on charge over night and that has not worked helped at all
P.S. I have had my Blackberry Curve 9300 for just a week as it was a replacement given to me by my provider when my last Blackberry failed to work.
My sons 8520 curve keeps taking ages to turn on and then comes up with error App 523 before switching off again, i have tried taking the battery out and restarting but it doesnt seem to make any difference and as it wont stay on i can t reset anything
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn the 8520. I would like to quickly enable email on and off when out of the UK as all emails become chargeable when not on my native mobile carrier. My plan is to wait to get emails until the Berry is connected to a hotel wi fi system. I assume at that point the berry will collect emails via the wi fi and so carrier charges will not apply. So for convenience I need to enable/disable emails on the fly?

I had a BB Curve from 2008-2011. Yes, I switched to a different smartphone. I have need for access to some of the info that was backed up from my BB during 2010. Is it possible for me to get to this? I was using the Desktop BB software at the time, which has since been removed from my PC.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the sake of modesty, this is my 1st Blackberry. Have to admit I was skeptical BUT it is a beautiful device despite it isn't the all-friendly Windows OS (insert sarcastic grin here). Now I have scoured a good bit of forums, websites, etc. yet I haven't been able to figure out how to switch TO portrait mode. Reason being, I have downloaded Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (gotta love vintage SEGA!) and installed it but when I go to open it (it's in my downloads folder) the screen says: "Landscape mode is not supported for this application. Please switch back to portrait" at least that's what I assume it says as some of the words are cut off from the screen, I reckon because it is, ahem, in landscape mode.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8320. Yesterday night, the "battery too low for radio use" sign appeared. I plugged it in for about an hour but the sign would not disappear so I did a battery pull. Radio turned back on, but now the phone will not charge. The lightning icon still shows up by the battery but it is stuck at 5%. Any suggestions?

Besides the service, could somebody tell me the cons and pros of this choice? As I will be paying a pretty penny for the phone each month.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a blackberry curve 9300 4 days ago and today it fully ran out of charge. I put it on charge and now it won't charge or switch on. If I take the battery out and put it back in and then put it on charge, a red light comes on for about 10-15 seconds and then nothing else happens. Ive only had it 4 days and this has never happened before.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe light on the wall charger stays on, the red light on the phone only stays on for a minute and then turns off. I am out of battery power so cannot download any fixes. Any help for this? PC connection is the same.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had this phone for quite a while (2 years) and never had any problems with it until yesterday when it stopped charging. A few weeks ago my charger broke so I've been using my USB and my sister's charger when it needed charging and I've tried it on both and it's not been charging on either.
It comes up with the lightning bolt over the battery in the corner to say that it's charging but the % doesn't change and then it turns itself off. I thought it was the battery so I bought a new one and when it ran out I had the same problem.
I've had my Blackberry Curve 9300 for about 7 months now & I've been experiencing this problem for the past 3 months. For some reason my Blackberry "chooses" the chargers that can charge it, i.e. If I use my wall charger, it randomly works, If I use my Boss' Car Charger, it works like any normal charger, I tried using my friend's wall charger, same problem as mine, then I tried another friend's Car Charger, this time it didn't work. I haven't installed any 3rd party apps apart from the usual package like facebook & bbm so I'm guessing the problem is elsewhere. The main problem is the "randomness" of my wall charger; sometimes it takes me a few minutes of pluging the charger to the usb port over & over again till the lightning sign shows that it's charging, but most of the time it takes me as much as 4hrs to get that sign to pop up, in which by that time my BB's already dead. The clock appearing at the time you plug the charger in has no effect as I press the return button every time after the clock appears, & the charging sign still isn't there. It's annoying because everytime the battery goes red are the time when I need it the most, like when I need to meet someone outside the office. I don't want to go through the inconvenience of purchasing a new phone of replacing this one as I have had lots of notes & messages that I want to keep but since there's a USB port problem, I can't even connect my BB to my laptop as it says it can't recognise the USB connection. I've tried with multiple cables as well & none can be recognised.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry 8900, I accidently jumped on it, i tried to open it but it wont open just a red light on the top and the screen has a red cross through the battery, but now the battery has a little lightening bolt through it, it has been on charge for 2 days but there is no charge on that battery and the fone wouldn't turn on.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Curve (6 weeks) and I am having problems with the battery charge. I have already changed it once via Bell Mobility. Here is an example of what I mean. My phone was fully charged at13:00. I turned the wi-fi, the network, and the bluetooth off. I made no calls. We are now 16:30. My battery is at 70%. This does not seem normal. Can someone offer a solution other than Bell Mobility (lousy service) and Blackberry (even lousier service) Is it possible that that the replacement battery given to me by Bell was another dud?
