Oct 6, 2010Holding down the Silent Profile shortcut key (ctrl key) doesn't seem to work, although the ctrl function works fine.

Nov 29, 2011i am encountrying a problem regarding my nokia e5 , i've just bought it recently and still left with 8 months warranty. The problem i am facing is, the message shortcut key which is on the keypad of this Phone, is not working properly. When i do long press to open new text msg, it sometimes doesnt opens any thing and sometimes even open messaging and then close it. At a certain angle i have to apply a little more force in order to operate it properly. wheather its a hardware problem or any sort of dust particles have emerged inside the keypad resulting in loose contact of the button and the motherboard.

Jul 14, 2010I just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality...), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone.
When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts...
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up... Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download...

Jun 11, 2010I have setup and used a SIP profile through the advanced VOIP settings etc.However once a net call is made, the profile registers with the ITSP, but then stays linked whilst the E72 is within range of one of the WiFi access points.Is there any way of manually disabling the profile so it disconnects from SIP until another call is started?

There had been a few instances of this issue happening, and I would like to find out if there is a shortcut key. Change the local emergency number to a invalid entry so that it shows up an error whenever I try to call. 2. Disable the emergency call totally 3. Now that I realize I changed a whole profile I want to set Silent back to "silent", but none of the choices for "notifier tone", "volume", "count" or "play sounds" is the equivalent of silent - e.g.. I must choose at least number 1 for volume and number 1 for count - there are no "none" or "0" options.I'd like to include my BB model number with this post but I don't know where to find that information.

Put your Nokia N900 on Silent. Now call your mobile and when the calling screen appears hit the loudspeaker key. Clicking this key will cut out even the vibrations on the Nokia N900, but the phone you are calling from will still hear a ringing tone.End the call from the other phone. Now put the Nokia N900 back on General profile. Call the N900 again from another phone. This time you will not hear a ring tone even though you are back on General profile. (I've checked and my volume was on full)
Atleast this is the problem I'm getting at the moment. Apologies if this problem has been covered elsewhere. I've tried to find it but couldnt so will appreciate if someone can paste a link to it here.The problem goes away if you restart the N900, but I'm hoping this problem can be fixed.
