Eseries / Communicators :: Vibrate Profile Is Missing In E72?
Feb 6, 2011
I have brand new Nokia E-72 phone. I have downloaded and installed Nokia Ovi suite 3.0.0.290 and have updated the phone. My problem is I DO NOT have a vibrate profile under profiles in setting. It only switches from normal to silent.
I have setup and used a SIP profile through the advanced VOIP settings etc.However once a net call is made, the profile registers with the ITSP, but then stays linked whilst the E72 is within range of one of the WiFi access points.Is there any way of manually disabling the profile so it disconnects from SIP until another call is started?
I just bought a new nokia e7 two days ago. It works great, i have no error msg's or anything. Just that my vibrating alert/screen vibration does not work. I even tried hard reset. I did not work out of the box to be honest. Is it a bug or it's my phone?
After Belle is there an easy way to see (without many clicks) which profile is in use on the phone? On Anna you could see this straight from the start screen....
Months ago I remember reading complaints about the home screen clock randomly disappearing on some E72 phones. Some time later, I began seeing the problem on my E73. Has anybody reading this post had this problem? I may have found the cause, and am hoping to get feedback.Until recently, the only third party program always running on my E73 was F-Secure's free Mobile Security app. (The program lets you remotely track, lock, and wipe your phone via SMS if it's lost.) I have found that running Java apps like Opera Mini and the MidpSSH telnet/ssh client will sometimes make the clock vanish, and sometimes additionally the UI of a newly-launched program (Java or otherwise) may lock up. Removing Mobile Security fixes all these issues.So is anybody who sees their clock randomly disappear also running Mobile Security?
I try to install some apps like: MarableMaze and LightSabre, but when I try install them apperar: Component 'Python for S60' missing. Continue anyway? , and if I install it . the app doesn't work. I try to install Python v1.4.5, and I tried with 1.9.7, now I am with 2.0, but still not working. What should i do?
E72 used to support sending via email option immediately after capturing a picture by the camera. Now when I select 'send' option after capturing the picture, I do not see any option to send via email, only see,
Via message Via bluetooth Upload
If I select 'Message' its MMS option. Can some one confirm if this feature was changed after the recent Fw 052.005 ? Is it a bug with the new Email 3.09?My phone has both these updates( Fw05.005 & 3.09).
Yesterday my messaging icon dissapeared from the menu options on my E72. how to have the icon replaced. I am currently only able to access messaging folders on receipt of a new SMS.
've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.
I just got my Vodafone branden Nokia E52 back from service. They flashed it with the latest generic firmware and now the only themes available are the golden business and golden personal. I searched the net and found graphite grey business which looks similar to the one I used to have, but the icons are different.where I could get the original themes back?
I borrowed a friend's E52 for a while and transferred my contacts, and it was great to have the option to simply click on Show in maps to navigate to their door. But that option is not in the Contacts app on the E66. Surely it could be easily included in a firmware update but it wasn't in the last one - will it be in the next one?
Few days back i purchaced a E72 with a hope that I would be able to read my PDF. But to my disappointment every time I have to either scroll let or right to read it. The REFLOW option is missing. The version that it shows me is Adobe Reader LE 2.5.202 Nokia_S603.0. Please let me know hw do I get reflow done .Its really disgusting that nokia does not provide a Reflow Option for such application.
I was generally a bit ticked-off with my E7, particularly because its USB port had gone extremely dodgy. sorted by my service provider by simply swapping the handset. The new one, however, has come with a completely different set of software loaded. Most of which is fine, but the Location App, with GPS data has dissappeared, and it's one of the items I used a lot.
I've looked at other GPS apps, but they don't have the functionality of the "location" app, mainly the ability to set a destination (via longitude and lattitude) and have it direct you there. This app has been on Nokia phones for years and years, and yet suddlenly this phone doesn't have it. Most odd.
Is it available for download from anywhere? I've looked for it on OVI for quite some time, but to no avail.
I resetted my E7 yesterday, and noticed that Quickoffice and Adobe readers disappeared! I tried reinstalling Belle from the nokia suite, all went well, but QO & Adobe are still missing. I tried deleting the downloaded installation files from c:usersall users directory, re-downloading the nokia belle update (~350mb) and re-reinstalling the OS, but still QO and Adobe are missing. I tried *#7370#, "delete and restore" etc, but to no avail. I tried changing OSes - WinXP, Win7, Win7 64bit etc, but still no avail.
The pre-installed Text-to-speech language is English (UK), and when I was first testing the phone, there were two Voice options, "Ellen" and "Martin", both listed as "built-in". Today, upon trying this feature again, only "Ellen" was present. I do not believe that I have accidentally deleted "Martin". I have, however, updated the phone software using PC Suite (to 071.003). I have tried installing the downloadable voice file, but receive an "Update error" when I do. I am able successfully to install other language packages and their associated voices. This would suggest that the "Martin" built-in voice is still present. Is there a way to recover it (restoring factory settings does not solve the problem;
so i recently gota a nokia 603 from my dad as a birthday present...i used it for a while and changed some settings...after doing this i decided to do a hard reset on the device..after the fone restarted i noticed that some of the original apps had gone missing..and also i cannot access social, nokia store, maps...and other preinstalled apps through mobile data..but its possible to access them through wifi.
I am a E63 user....the WLAN scanning suddenly stoped actually i was using an app for my phone,Upvise i wanted to cut the wifi connection i did so by going to connectivity>conn. mgr. and killed the connection after that i am uable to scan Wlan networks and when i go to WLAN wizard it shows 'system error'.
I've just had to do a hard reset on my phone (was running extremely slow / not picking up email / internet browser running slow - need I go on). On restart all of my ringtones have "disappeared" - E.g. Trying to change any tone the phone tries to access the library by showing "opening", but it hangs. I have checked the phone using Nokia Suite, and the ringtones are no longer there.

I have my RIM Curve 9220 for a half month now and the Vibrate Profile suddenly does not work. I have tried Soft Reset, Double Soft Reset and finally what I hated most is the Hard Reset.
I am trying to set up my Hotmail and Gmail account on my E7. When opening the email app for the first time I enter a new username and password. On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.
My Nokia history:2110 => 6110 => 8110 => 6310 => 2300 => 2600 => 6070 => E71 => N97 Mini => E72 => C7 => E7 => E6 => 700
My phone numbers saved on the device are missing in the contacts folder but the messages with those numbers are still in the messages folder withthenames and numbers properly written.how do I get the numbers back on the device? My phone is Nokia asha 200.
Phone does not ring, does vibrate, sound profile is set to "Phone Calls Only. Did a hard reboot (removed & reinserted battery), did not change the problem.
