Following the update to my sony z2, putting my phone on silent causes my sony smartwatch 3 to disable all notifications. I do not want this to happen! I want my phone on silent (not vibrate) but my smartwatch on vibrate and cannot figure out how to do this.
View 8 RepliesIn the last week or so my phone keeps putting itself into silent mode, so it doesn't ring when someone is calling me or make a sound when I get messages. This is a nuisance as I keep missing calls. The only way that I can get the phone to ring is to restart the phone, however it will then randomly set itself back into silent mode at some later point in time. When I go into sounds and notifications it will not allow me to increase the ringer volume.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUpgraded phone from Samsung Galaxy S4 to Samsung Galaxy S6. Incoming TXT continues to work normally, but I cannot send an outbound TXT while VPN is connected. If I disconnect from VPN, TXT works fine again.
Same carrier - Verizon. Same messaging app - Samsung Messaging. Same VPN provider and account. Using OpenVPN on both. Also tried the VPN Client that PIA provided -- same results.
Same results whether I am using WiFi, or if I disable WiFi and only use Verizon normal wireless. Wife's GS5 using same OpenVPN and same SMS app and same network works perfectly.
I contacted my VPN provider, PrivateInternetAccess, who promptly blamed my Wireless Provider, Verizon. They stated that I had to tell Verizon to provide a "NAT unrestricted IP address".
After upgrade to iOs 5.1 my iPhone 4S makes no sound when arrives an email or a sms. Is it a bug??

Yesterday I upgraded my Defy to Froyo 2.2.2 (from the Moto website). Everything is great except my phone beeps everytime I get an email. I have gone into email settings and changed it to silent, but it still plays the ringtone. If I change the ringtone for email notification, it changes and plays the one I select, except if I change it to silent, it plays the "Bells" ringtone, which I think is the default. I have tried turning the phone off and on, but it still rings. I am using the stock email app with 2 pop accounts and a Yahoo account, and it plays the ringtone for all of them.

As far as I can tell, the only choices are for the notifications to vibrate all of the time or not at all. Even with Vibrate set to "only when silent," e-mails still vibrate when the ringer is turned up. Basically, I'd like everything (phone, e-mail, texts) to vibrate when in silent/vibrate mode, and to not vibrate when the ringer's turned up. I could do this pretty easily on my old HTC Incredible, but it eludes me on the D4. If this isn't possible with the stock system, are there any recommended apps that would to the trick?

I like the phone to be quiet in certain environments and this is killing me. I have had droid razors before and never had this issue.

So it seems you can press the volume key and by clicking the 'bell' icon I can scroll through 3 different modes: Loud, Vibrate and Silent.
Seems simple enough, only none of these modes silence apps or games at all.
I just want to put my phone on silence/vibrate and know that even apps and games will be silent too.
I thought I could put into vibrate mode and slide the media volume down to zero and it would rememeber it... then putting back into loud mode would make media slider go back to normal volume?... Nope, I have to change it back to loud mode and remember to slide the media volume back to normal...
My phone was working good. I tried to update the software using SE update service. When I press C and connected the cable the software checked connected phone and replied product can not be identified, remove the cable and reinsert the battery. I did so. But now phone is not working when I try to switch it on, the screen just blinks with a light but no text on the screen. I tried to flash the phone too but it is also not wokring XS++ shows something link this.

I got stuck here, nothing happens after this.
I have an LG G4 and have been enjoying Quick Charging using multiple Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 chargers I bought since I got it. Have noticed recently though that it doesn't charge as fast as it used to. Though the G4 doesn't really post a notification on screen that it is fast charging, usually by an hour our charging I'm at full capacity and ready to take it to work (don't charge overnight, just charge an hour after I wake up then by the time I leave, i'm good to go).
Now after an hour, it's still below 40% charging! I'm now wondering if it has something to do with my new smartwatch which I paired to my G4. Bought a gorgeous Huawei Watch last week and it's paired to my G4. I'm thinking if it being paired--meaning it constantly getting information from the watch even when charging--is causing the phone to constantly wake up and stop fast charging?
I just tested this theory a few minutes ago. Turned off bluetooth in my G4 and it seems fast charging went back coz phone charging ended faster. Do Smartwatch paired phones keep the phone from Quick Charging?
I have got a blackberry curve 9300 and when i press the mute button to put it to 'sleep' it beeps twice and then says "you have no new messages"

View 4 Replies View RelatedDuring a call, if there's any kind of notification (email or sms) or alarm the phone will annoyingly vibrate which I and the other person can hear.I've looked in the settings and haven't found a way to only turn off vibrate during calls. The only thing in the settings I've seen is to just turn of notifications completely, which I don't really consider a solution since I would like my phone to vibrate when things come in normally.I've missed the simple setting that stops vibration during a call.

I saved my calendar onto the computer and I got an iCal(ics) file and apparently, nokia PC suite don't accept this file type! I tried to use sync, but the only half the calendar came out correctly while some meetings came out as saying tentative or nothing.In some parts of the calendar, there are two meetings at once, this displays fine on outlook, but will this affect the view on the phone?
so i just upgraded my 8520 OS to 5. i went to lock the phone, and it didn't lock in the way that i was used to. the phone when to sleep instead of locking. is there a way to revert the lock feature back to the way it was, or is this how it locks with OS 5?

With this set-up she has a password lock for the screen, which works fine and she knows exactly what she's doing with. Then about four weeks down the line she tells me she woke up one morning, typed in her password but was told it was wrong and she had 9 attempts left. After looking more closely at it, it was actually asking for a device password - which neither my girlfriend nor me has ever set up on the Blackberry.After doing some research the first time, we tried everything - connecting it to device manager, inputting letters instead of numbers, etc. but eventually had to wipe the phone.So then after setting the phone up for a second time straight after, this morning she tells me the same thing has happened again and she's had to wipe her phone.

1- clearing the data of smart connect
2- clearing the data of enhancment sounds
3- raising the sound volume and checking the X-Loud
Even i changed the notification tone and the ring tone to any other thing and it also didn't work i noticed that the lower speaker only used when it comes to notifications and incoming calls ..
I hope this hasn't been asked before; if it has and I searched on the wrong keywords, my apologies.Is it possible to set the Lumia 710 up so that it ends a current call when I press the button on top of the phone to put it into standby mode?
I've been caught a couple of times when leaving voicemail messages by the fact that I press the button, the 'phone plays a "ker-lick" noise and the screen goes black; but when I switch it back on again, the connection's still open and the call is still on-going.
Normally, this isn't an issue, as the call ends when the other party puts their phone down, or the voicemail reaches the end of the available message time; but I recently called someone who's got an honest-to-goodness answerphone on the shelf next to their phone, and it was happy to leave the connection open for well over an hour. As a result, I've just received a bill from my provider costing two-and-a-half times as much as usual - money I can scarce afford as I'm currently "resting" between jobs.
It would be neat if switching the phone off (or, at least, putting the phone on standby) ended the current call.
9650 is my first BB ever. I'm generally happy with it.A few questions. Does anyone know how to get contacts, calender entries, memo's, tasks, etc into the phone through the use of a laptop? The CD-ROM that came with it wasn't recognized by my laptop for some reason so I just downloaded Desktop Manager from the BB website. I thought the manager would have the fields for this and I could just syncronize it with the laptop. To my disappointment this was not the case, apparently D.Manager is just a backup tool.I called Sprint and I was told I could use Gmail to enter contacts which is what I have been slowly doing. Oh yal, I don't have Microsoft Outlook either.Does anyone know of some software or something that can help me get ALL of the above mentioned item information into the phone thru my computer?Also, can anyone tell me why my battery runs out of a full charge rather quickly?? I have to charge it everyday and that's because I hardly make or receive calls. I think I use the phone (browser, messaging, etc) less than the average person. By the way I set my brightness to 50 and the back lighting time to 10 seconds which I think are pretty generous settings to help save battery energy. Yet the phone still needs a charge everyday. Reviews say it will last 4 to 5 days on standby. Not the case for me at all.Lastly, do any 9650 Sprint owners out there notice the end key (red) to be kinda faded?? Wondering if Igot a lemon in that respect, my red keys look faded and the white of the buttons (majority of keypad) lean towards a whitish-orangeish hue instead of what looks like the brighter whitish-blueish hue. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
