View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 and I am experiencing many issues (heats up, battery consuming, etc.) but the main one is that I can't hear anything (neither the person I call hears me) during the calls. Seems the mic/speaker are blocked.

(On a side note, it never actually accepts any of my commands ever. But that's not my issue right now.)Even after I close it, a few seconds later it will pop up again on its own.I thought maybe it was a stuck side key, but I disabled it, assigning it to nothing. The phone becomes muted as a result of the above. I cannot hear the DTMF beeps when dialing, I cannot hear the ringing, I cannot hear the other person, and the other person cannot hear me.Needless to say this has made using my phone pretty much impossible.
View 6 Replies View RelatedDuring a call, if there's any kind of notification (email or sms) or alarm the phone will annoyingly vibrate which I and the other person can hear.I've looked in the settings and haven't found a way to only turn off vibrate during calls. The only thing in the settings I've seen is to just turn of notifications completely, which I don't really consider a solution since I would like my phone to vibrate when things come in normally.I've missed the simple setting that stops vibration during a call.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought the xperia z2 and i'm facing a horrible thing here the volume of the incoming notifications and the incoming call are too low but when it comes to music via walkman its super i've tried almost everything ..
1- clearing the data of smart connect
2- clearing the data of enhancment sounds
3- raising the sound volume and checking the X-Loud
Even i changed the notification tone and the ring tone to any other thing and it also didn't work i noticed that the lower speaker only used when it comes to notifications and incoming calls ..
Following the update to my sony z2, putting my phone on silent causes my sony smartwatch 3 to disable all notifications. I do not want this to happen! I want my phone on silent (not vibrate) but my smartwatch on vibrate and cannot figure out how to do this.

I honestly don't know what I did, but one of my contacts has basically become muted. I do not get any type of notification when he sends me a text message and even in the text message list, there is the mute symbol next to his name (bell with diagonal slash)How can I remove this? He is someone with whom I text regularly and I can't continue to be unaware when I receive messages from him.

When making or recieving a call using the Motorola Car Dock for the Photon the Microphone is muted.Expected behavior: Making a call using the Car dock, Audio is routed thrugh car stereo using the Micro USB/Aux connector. Microphone on phone picks up your voice as it would on any other call.

My iPhone 4 has suddenly stopped ringing when someone calls/texts. Its not on mute. When I press the volume buttons & the mute button noting happens - no display on the screen to show they are responding.
My son has some apps on my phone & there is no sound coming out of those either. But if I go into settings & change ringtone I can hear the different ring tones. Also if I plug in headphones I can listen to music.
I have been docking my phone into speakers lately & noticed that its vibrated a couple of times when I have done this.
I have turned it on & off several times, and taken out sim, to no avail.
Haven't tried resetting it, as wasn't sure if I would lose my contacts/music etc?

Mi Xoom has stopped playing any sound through the internal speakers. They worked fine in the beginning, but a week ago they were muted for games, video and music. However, i do get the sound through headphones. The speakers are not broken, as i get notification and alarm sounds normally.I tried the factory resetting, but without success...Problem might have come up when i tried headphones for the first time or when downloading some volume control app -unfortunately i cannot say precisely when the problem occurred.
View 13 Replies View RelatedIs there a setting to allow a caller to be heard through the vehicle speakers while not muting the microphone?
The reason I ask is when I connect the Photon to the vehicle navigation dock it defaults the calls to speakerphone (not the vehicle speakers) and if I turn the speakerphone off the caller can be heard through the car speakers BUT the caller cannot hear me.
Gettig a lot of notifications and I didn't want to keep having everyone be disturbed so I put the phone in silent mode. Sure enough my wife calls again; strangely I can hear her but she can't hear me and hangs up. Assuming that there was a problem with her signal I call her back to she if things cleared up. She still couldn't hear me and hung up again. I thought to turn silent mode off and attempt to call her again. She could hear me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new S5 and notice when I plug in headphones the notification sounds are still audible from the phone speaker. I had an S3 and S4 and I'm certain when I plugged my headphones in the ringtones, etc were no longer audible. The were heard on the headphones along with the music or whatever I was listening to. Why this may be happening?
View 14 Replies View RelatedSince Nokia maps became free to use for driving with spoken directions, I've decided to use it again on my 5800 rather than another piece of Nav software that I had. Whilst it seems to work great, my only problem seems to be that it announces the directions over Bluetooth. As my phone is connected to my car via a built in Bluetooth kit (parrot), whenever I activate routing with spoken directions, the phone takes over the audio and mutes the stereo (with "PHONE" displayed on my factory head unit). The stereo is then muted for the whole journey or until I exit from Nokia maps. So it seems my only options are driving without music, or mute the 5800 and route without spoken directions ?

When do you release a patch to solve this ? they works when the screen is on and not when it is off
I am using HTC OneS for more than 2 years now, currently running on Android 4.1.1....It had been an awesome experience with this phone so far. Recently, my phone has started to pop up these irritating notifications at almost all my actions that your phone is at risk.. and when I press Ok to see the details, it takes me to some website (soloweb) where it asks me to download an application developed by KS Mobile! Is my phone really at risk..how do these notifications get pushed to my phone every now and then? How can I turn them off.
I have an Antivirus installed on my phone (360 Security from Qihoo 360 Tech Co.) and it shows my phone totally safe. I'm not sure what to do but these push forceful pop-ups are irritating me! there are many other unwanted ads that keep popping up every now and then. To add, my phone has recently started to show some crazy behaviour. When on call, it would keep switching between the call console, home screen, recent apps and what not! It would keep switching b/w windows and not let me gain control over the call console. I lose control over the calls and that is frustrating!!!
Is there any way to stop app notifications on the phone other than having to bring the app to the home screen then pressing the app to check app info and then selecting stop notifications? This seems so bulky. Like is there another way of getting here?

Any reason why all of a sudden I am not getting notifications when I am on my home WiFi? It's weird, and I can't find a setting that would be causing this.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for simply showing incoming txt notifications on my Windows PC. Responding directly from my PC would be great, but not a "requirement" for me. I generally use Chrome on my desktop...
I think moto had/has their own app to do this (I am coming from a MotoX, and now love my GS6 Edge), so I'm wondering if Samsung has their own.
I saw this Pushbullet app, and it looks like it would work.
BTW: Extra credit for an app that will only send the notifications to my desktop if I'm home (or even better, within BT range of my desk). Don't need txt notification popping-up if I'm traveling!
Notifications volume control is not the same as ringtone volume control. How do I change notifications volume?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an S6. And it has had the latest software update. Ever since yesterday, I am not receiving any notifications for ANYTHING, be it messages, whatsapp, facebook, snapchat etc, I only see I have a message if I click directly into the app and then it shows me i have new text/snap or whatevs. This is frustrating so much!!!!! Ive checked in my settings and I have all my notifications switched on, I even set them as a priority but still no joy! I have also restarted my device a couple of times in the hope that would work but nope ....

Right now the notifications do arrive when the phone is locked but I have to press the side lock button to view them.
