View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my S5 for a year now. I noticed ever since the 5.0 upgrade that i got in April for my ATT S5 that I have been missing calls and texts due to my phone going into silent in my pocket because the dreaded volume keys are able to press themselves in my pocket even with the screen locked and off. I don't see an option to stop this behavior and to me it seems like an OBVIOUS place for there to be an option.
What can I do to stop this? Even worse sometimes it will click up to a high ringtone volume and go off when I am in a meeting at work.
I have certain apps "i.e. quick change keyboards", I like to have the notifications for it shown on my notification screen, but I do not want to see it on my lock screen. Other apps I DO want to see on the lock screen.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there an easy way to adjust these at the same time? It's annoying to have to go into the settings to change the notification volume when I change the ringer volume. My S3 changed both with the volume button.
View 22 Replies View RelatedI just bought the xperia z2 and i'm facing a horrible thing here the volume of the incoming notifications and the incoming call are too low but when it comes to music via walkman its super i've tried almost everything ..
1- clearing the data of smart connect
2- clearing the data of enhancment sounds
3- raising the sound volume and checking the X-Loud
Even i changed the notification tone and the ring tone to any other thing and it also didn't work i noticed that the lower speaker only used when it comes to notifications and incoming calls ..
There are 2 days a week that i need my ringer on at work for daycare purposes. So i have ringtone on, and the other 3 settings (media, notifications, system) all turned off. However, i still get facebook message notifications, and vibrations from Twitter alerts.

I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. I have tried going to settings and it doesn't seem to work. It is difficult to remember to check for messages when you have no idea a person has even left one.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan't seem to turn off notifications for certain apps in app info. I uncheck that option, but the apps keep notifying me! Both apps are Supercell ) could that be their problem? I have to uncheck it every time, but all of the sudden, I get notified of something. I never had that problem, stated a couple of weeks ago.

View 11 Replies View RelatedJust updated to lollipop and I really don't like the lock screen when I get an email the big bar that shows up...I saw where I can turn it into secure content, but still, I hate that...my girl always sees the bar that I am getting emails and what not, regardless of if she can see the messages..
The very top notifications are fine, just don't need it plastered on the lock screen, how to turn off that while still having the little icon notifications on top?
So I updated to lollipop on Verizon S5 the other day and I thought at first it asked if I wanted my notifications to turn lock screen on, but then after turning notifications off and using a different lock screen for a bit, I went back to stock lollipop lock screen and now none of my notifications turn the lock screen on. Does notifications turn the lock screen on so you can see them? If so, where the setting is to choose this as I can not seem to find it anywhere on the phone in any settings?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI shut down my phone for a couple hours and turned it back on. Then I watched YouTube and listened to music for another couple hours. Suddenly, the volume just started turning itself all the way down randomly? It's never done this before and it's a brand new phone (HTC One M9). I'd like to know how to fix this ASAP because I use my phone for music and videos a lot. I am not accidentally hitting the volume buttons because for music, I often do not hold my phone at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for simply showing incoming txt notifications on my Windows PC. Responding directly from my PC would be great, but not a "requirement" for me. I generally use Chrome on my desktop...
I think moto had/has their own app to do this (I am coming from a MotoX, and now love my GS6 Edge), so I'm wondering if Samsung has their own.
I saw this Pushbullet app, and it looks like it would work.
BTW: Extra credit for an app that will only send the notifications to my desktop if I'm home (or even better, within BT range of my desk). Don't need txt notification popping-up if I'm traveling!
I have an S6. And it has had the latest software update. Ever since yesterday, I am not receiving any notifications for ANYTHING, be it messages, whatsapp, facebook, snapchat etc, I only see I have a message if I click directly into the app and then it shows me i have new text/snap or whatevs. This is frustrating so much!!!!! Ive checked in my settings and I have all my notifications switched on, I even set them as a priority but still no joy! I have also restarted my device a couple of times in the hope that would work but nope ....

View 3 Replies View RelatedI liked just seeing notifications as small icons at the top of my phone. .. not these intrusive pop up messages. It's funny how someone else decides what's an upgrade for me. Is it possible to just get my little icons back?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt's a brand new phone and all the settings have been checked, the app has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times. The phone has even been reset to factory settings but I still can't get facebook notifications. I get no sound and no flashing light in the upper corner of the phone.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy phone updated to version 5.1.1, and since then I no longer receive push notifications when the phone is connected to wifi but asleep. Waking the phone up - by swiping the screen - activates it and the messages come in. This is particularly diferent because MightyText doesn't work until I wake up the phone.
I have looked through all settings and cannot find a solution:
- power saving mode is off
- 'Keep wifi on during sleep' is set to 'Always'
- I have no battery saving apps on my phone.
So my phone s5 was updated to lollipop, I was just finished downloading 2 songs then i saw the screen turns yellowish. I thought it was nothing so i turn off my power after I tried to open up again it didn't. When I pressed the power key it shows a broken half white thing so fast and it disappear till now my phone won't open. I tried charge it but useless..
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor several months now I have been playing the music on my Samsung Galaxy s5 through the stereo speakers on my motorcycle. I turn the volume up all the way on the phone and set the volume on the stereo at about half and I can hear it clearly, even at freeway speeds.
A couple of days ago there was a software update for the phone and now, even with the volume set at maximum on both the phone and stereo, I can't hear anything once I get over about 60 mph.
