Galaxy S5 :: How To See All Notifications Received On Phone
Jan 16, 2015
I can't find it now, but when I had an S4, I remember seeing instructions on how to see all notifications that you've received on your phone (not talking about the notifications pulldown). How to do this?
I am using an S6 for the last couple of weeks and noted that notifications are not being received. They are received when I open an app or connect to Wi-Fi. This is happening for Whatsapp, hangouts, messenger, google play. (there might be other apps too).
Is there a setting you can change so the screen lights up when notifications are received? At the moment my screen stays off and I get a sound or vibration if the phone is on silent.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I would like to know if I can set the message received notification to repeat itself so if I am away from my phone and missed the original notification it will continue to notify me until I acknowledge it.
My wife has an Iphone 6. She likes to send me periodic videos of my son throughout the day. I just upgraded from an Iphone to the S5 and now whenever she sends a video, when I try to play it I get a "Can't play video." message in the center of a black screen. Is there a way around this?
Since last tuesday, I am not receiving text message notification on my phone. It is not only after I made a phone call that the text message notification show up. I check all the settings and they seems to be okay.
Had a Desire from Orange for a couple of months, one of the most annoying issues is that sometimes when I get a text, it doesn't register all the notifications when the phone is idle: I always get the notification sound / vibrate. Sometimes I don't get the flashing green led. Sometimes I don't get the message summary on the lock screen. So if I don't hear the message come in I often miss it. I'm constantly having to wake up/unlock the phone just to check the actual message app whic is a) really tedious and b) probably not doing much for battery life. When I say sometimes, it's probably about 10% of the time, and one or other or both problems can occurr. I can't find any correlation other than having the messages app active when the phone sleeps *may* exacerbate it, but I'm not totally sure and it definitely does happen when the app is not running too.
I've had my Nexus 6p for 1 week and I have not received any OTA update notifications. I'm still running MDA89D (latest is MDB08M??)I'm on Verizon (with a sim from my Note 4) and have not done any modifications to the phone yet (bootloader, root, etc)According to the factory images page, URL...
Why does my facebook application not always send me notifications of facebook messages I have received?I get most of my normal notifications but hardly ever get the notifications of a facebook inbox message.
Is there any way to stop app notifications on the phone other than having to bring the app to the home screen then pressing the app to check app info and then selecting stop notifications? This seems so bulky. Like is there another way of getting here?
I'm looking for simply showing incoming txt notifications on my Windows PC. Responding directly from my PC would be great, but not a "requirement" for me. I generally use Chrome on my desktop...
I think moto had/has their own app to do this (I am coming from a MotoX, and now love my GS6 Edge), so I'm wondering if Samsung has their own.
I saw this Pushbullet app, and it looks like it would work.
BTW: Extra credit for an app that will only send the notifications to my desktop if I'm home (or even better, within BT range of my desk). Don't need txt notification popping-up if I'm traveling!
I have an S6. And it has had the latest software update. Ever since yesterday, I am not receiving any notifications for ANYTHING, be it messages, whatsapp, facebook, snapchat etc, I only see I have a message if I click directly into the app and then it shows me i have new text/snap or whatevs. This is frustrating so much!!!!! Ive checked in my settings and I have all my notifications switched on, I even set them as a priority but still no joy! I have also restarted my device a couple of times in the hope that would work but nope ....
My phone keeps sounding notifications at 10 minutes intervals for 36 hours after each reboot. I tried several ways to stop this happening, to no avail. What can I do?
I liked just seeing notifications as small icons at the top of my phone. .. not these intrusive pop up messages. It's funny how someone else decides what's an upgrade for me. Is it possible to just get my little icons back?
It's a brand new phone and all the settings have been checked, the app has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times. The phone has even been reset to factory settings but I still can't get facebook notifications. I get no sound and no flashing light in the upper corner of the phone.
My phone updated to version 5.1.1, and since then I no longer receive push notifications when the phone is connected to wifi but asleep. Waking the phone up - by swiping the screen - activates it and the messages come in. This is particularly diferent because MightyText doesn't work until I wake up the phone.
I have looked through all settings and cannot find a solution:
- power saving mode is off - 'Keep wifi on during sleep' is set to 'Always' - I have no battery saving apps on my phone.
When working from my computer and so not to have to go to my phone, is there an app. (that will sync with my phone app.) or method to receive and send texts from my computer. Will it have a pop-up box on my computer?
Will it also show and save the texts on my phone?I am on verizon with an S5. I use the standard messaging app on my phone.
I just purchased the S5 and I am a little confused. I have vibrating on for notifications but when I get a notification the sound plays but no vibration. I have a different sound for texting and other notifications. When I get a text I get the vibration but not with any other notification. Vibration intensity is set all the way.
My new galaxy s5 has the Lollipop update....my notifications don't show up on locked screen....In my settings I have it set to show up....I have did a hard reset and factory reset and it still doesn't work....
When I have a missed call my notification only says "Missed Call / Wireless Caller" instead of displaying the name or phone number of the person who called even when they are in my address book. I cant seem to find a setting for this besides the "Notifications on lock screen- Show content" which I have already enabled. I also have "Show caller information" enabled in the call settings.
I have a Galaxy S5, don't get me wrong I like it apart from, when I receive an email notification from my Outlook App (because exchange wont work on this phone at all but did on my Galaxy S4), it plays my ringtone for my phone.
I have been in every imaginable setting going, and my notification alerts are set to beep, which it works for messenger, but any emails that come into my Outlook App and a notifcation pops up on my main screen it rings! I then think its an incoming call and it isnt, it will only stop when a screen swipe and clear.
I have a Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to stop the notification of receiving an e-mail without stopping the notification of text messages. Is there a way to differentiate? I was able to do this on older phones.
I use the default Calendar app on my S5 with several Gmail accounts, all which have default reminder settings. None of those accounts will use my default for calendar reminders, even after Syncing and rebooting. I've gone into my phone settings and searched for Notification, Reminder and Calendar and none of those settings have default reminders. I can only select to enable to disable these options.
I have certain apps "i.e. quick change keyboards", I like to have the notifications for it shown on my notification screen, but I do not want to see it on my lock screen. Other apps I DO want to see on the lock screen.
