View 3 Replies View RelatedSince my first post seemed to disappear, I am posting this a second time.
I can silence my phone, turn the volume down, and select vibrate. I still get voice announcements loud and clear. How do I turn it off? Sometimes it is not desirable to hear "ONE NEW EMAIL" in church or at the office. No matter what preference I select to silence the phone, these voice alerts come through.
It's a brand new phone and all the settings have been checked, the app has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times. The phone has even been reset to factory settings but I still can't get facebook notifications. I get no sound and no flashing light in the upper corner of the phone.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just purchased the S5 and I am a little confused. I have vibrating on for notifications but when I get a notification the sound plays but no vibration. I have a different sound for texting and other notifications. When I get a text I get the vibration but not with any other notification. Vibration intensity is set all the way.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy job requires me to take some shifts with a standby period from 4-7 AM in case an emergency happens, so I have to leave the phone on beside my bed, and it has to be audible.I plug it in so if I have to respond, I will do so with a full battery. Then inevitably after I have fallen asleep, two beeps wake me up to tell me the battery is charged. I ticked the box in settings 'no notification ringtone', but it did not seem to shut this off. can't imagine what idiot designer at Samsung thought that this would be a very important feature that we all must have, but it is driving me nuts.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is getting very annoying. I've been able to silence Notifications in email, and some other apps.
But there seems no way to silence Notifications in the general menu. That is, Notifications in Settings. "Silent" is not a choice.
The phone is stuck with "Silence all" on the screen at all times. It's not usable and I cannot make any calls, answer calls or send text messages. The menus also are not accessible as I thought about trying to do a standard or hard reset.I have tried using the volume button to cycle out of'Silence All", then "Vibrate All" shows but it automatically goes back to and stays on "Silence All".I even tried holding the FN-# key and the * key to see if it comes out it but it does not.
I have also tried removing the battery several times but it does not help.anyone have any ideas of how I can get it out of this mode or is the phone toast?
Is it only possible to use one sound for all notifications? I thought I'd be able to set different sounds for email, text, calendar. I also use BT Fon app for wifi and this uses the same as all the rest.
I've set tone for email in email settings but now that gets played as well as the tone that's set for notifications in settings>sound>notification ringtone, when I only need one alert.
I did a google search and a search on this forum but i could not find a solution. After i send a text i get a balance notification from O2, This notification vibrates. Is there a way to turn this vibration off (or only have it vibrate in silent mode, like i have enabled for my SMS)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created a folder called media/audio/notifications on my sd card put an mp3 10second track on it, this appears in settings/sounds/ notifications along with the standard ones, it will play if i test it there (pressing the round button) click ok and the original ta da sound plays when i get a text. if i open settings/sounds/ notifications my new track is still highlighted. i got this phone cos i don't distinguish sounds too well and this is urgently needed.

View 1 Replies View Relatedjust picked up an S2 from sprint as a replacement for HTC Evo.Great phone all around, however i`m having one issue. HTC Sense UI has an option to preview messages(2lines) and missed calls right(who and time) on lock screen. This is really handy option with small kids around you dont have to unlock your phone.Since S2 is missing that I've downloaded Notify App which works great. However - I cannot turn off stock notifications - they still show up - so at this time I have to clear notifications twice - once in App and once in Notifications Bar. Is there a way of turning off stock notifications (without custom ROM)? On all other phones i had - there was an option to go to Settings Privacy and uncheck the notifications. This is missing on S2 - all i can see under privacy is Reset to Factory.I really like the phone and how smooth it is. At this point i really dont want to do a custom ROM (`ill root it if need it)

Is there any way to stop app notifications on the phone other than having to bring the app to the home screen then pressing the app to check app info and then selecting stop notifications? This seems so bulky. Like is there another way of getting here?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for simply showing incoming txt notifications on my Windows PC. Responding directly from my PC would be great, but not a "requirement" for me. I generally use Chrome on my desktop...
I think moto had/has their own app to do this (I am coming from a MotoX, and now love my GS6 Edge), so I'm wondering if Samsung has their own.
I saw this Pushbullet app, and it looks like it would work.
BTW: Extra credit for an app that will only send the notifications to my desktop if I'm home (or even better, within BT range of my desk). Don't need txt notification popping-up if I'm traveling!
Notifications volume control is not the same as ringtone volume control. How do I change notifications volume?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an S6. And it has had the latest software update. Ever since yesterday, I am not receiving any notifications for ANYTHING, be it messages, whatsapp, facebook, snapchat etc, I only see I have a message if I click directly into the app and then it shows me i have new text/snap or whatevs. This is frustrating so much!!!!! Ive checked in my settings and I have all my notifications switched on, I even set them as a priority but still no joy! I have also restarted my device a couple of times in the hope that would work but nope ....
