Is there any way of stopping audible notifications when playing music on the S2? I find the pause in the music and beep really annoying, but can't find a way of switching it off.
View 5 RepliesOn Sprint Stock OC9, and rooted.I am wondering if there is a way to disable some of the system notifications like "Charging... xx minutes Until Full" or the "Location Set By GPS". These are rather unnecessary. The GPS icon can stay but I don't need a notification along with it.

If I have everything going like normal, there are 5 notifications that I cannon clear off that take up the entire drop down. Makes everything look cluttered.Cable charging, connected as media deice, power save on, 1 device connected for tether, and then the select keyboard. I am rooted, and if it matters, the phone is an ATT G920A.

I've always stored my music in folders sorted by artist and never bothered with tagging as long as the file names started with numbers. I have over 300 gigs in music so I'm not about to start tagging now. my 32 gig sd card has 4500 music files.The music player doesn't play nice with my sorting - artist view winds up showing the same artists 10 times or sorts out compiltation albums while folder view has every single album (300-400 or so) sorted alphabetically.
I would like to go into the external sd card and play directly from there. I can do that, but only a single track will play and you can't use any other apps or browse when the track plays. Am I stupid or something?This is the main reason why I've always used Cowon music players or my sansa clip, I can simply go into folders and play. I have media monkey and love it but even there I use the folder directory.
so i havn't rooted my s2 yet and i am wondering if what i have been doing is the same as "freezing" apps. i have advanced task killer and i opened the 'hub' apps and selected to disable them.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung S6 Edge. Every time I turn on GPS, either High Accuracy or Battery Saver.. whenever I lock my phone... i lose that GPS signal. Everytime time I wake it back up or unlock it..i will see a "searching for location", then a "location found". This happens for ALL application, Google Maps, Verizon Navigotor, MapMyRun, etc. This is very frustrating as I use these apps all the time and I cant keep my phone 'unlocked' as then the screen is active and I would accidently click things.
ADDITIONALLY, after using the GPS, I will then shut off the location feature and then my phone will continually say "searching for location", even with location off. I close all my current applications etc.. and it still says searching. This message does not go away until i turn back on location or restart my phone.
When I go to location settings, i see "recent location requests" of "Google Play services" and Location Services of "Google Location History".. that is it!
I am about to the point of wiping out my phone and starting over. (which i dont want to do). I have not battery saver or app killers downloaded on my phone so that cant be it.
i want to play games in landscape mode (Clash of clans for example) without getting notifications and calls.Something identical like ios's do not disturb function where i can play games without getting calls and notifications.And another thing is can I rotate videos on browser(default and chorme) without using the auto-rotation function? Like ios where i can rotate the screen to the left/right. Because i usually watch videos while in sleeping position.

I was able to upload music to the phone but everytime I click the My Music button my phone freezes, and I cant even turn if it off by pressing and holding the end button. Live just outside London and would like to use my S2 to play programs provided on BBC iPlayer. My S2 came with a BBC iPlayer icon available straight out of the box. When I click the bbc iplayer icon it displays a program that the bbc iPlayer site is promoting (the Graham Norton show in this instance). Firstly I'd like to play any program from iPlayer but when for example I click on Graham Norton show nothing happens but a message shows on the s2 (within the BBC app) stating "Please switch to Wi-Fi connection to play this program" - note: from the settings screen on the S2 I have wi-fi set on (I am also at home, where other devices are using my home wi-fi).

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The battery life is a bit of a letdown, but I've gotten the hang of USM, so there aren't any issues there while in USM, am I still able to activate the music player via my headset? I do play music quite frequently while I'm travelling, so I'd like to know if that's still possible while in USM.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm thinking of moving from apple to android to have borrowed my friends S5 to see if i like it. So far its pretty good but i'm struggling with my music. I have a 60gb iTunes library but usually i only have around 20gb (2600 songs) on my iphone. I've tried to get this on to a SD card in the S5 but i keep having problems. Here's what I've tried:
1) sync iTunes using Syncr. - This put most of the music on the phone but android wasn't showing it all. ES file explorer only showed 400 songs, CloudPlayer only showed 776 and Poweramp showed most of them but they had unknown artist and unknown album. Because of the Unknown Artist and Album issue i have gone into iTunes and converted the ID3 tags.
2) sync iTunes using Doubletwist airsync - This seems to have put all of the music on the SD Card however ES File Explorer is only showing 1506 songs, Cloudplayer showins 397 and is trying to import 1005 more, Poweramp is showing 2423 songs but still have unknown artist and unknown album, also some songs will not play, there is no error message displayed.
The volume while playing music is always changing, like one step up or down every 5 minutes give or take.
- I disabled all the sound and equalizer options from the settings to test if that was the cause but it didn't work.
- Rebooting the phone also didn't work.
- I use Spotify, didn't test any other app yet but I don't have this problem on my Nexus 5 using the same Spotify version.
- There is no way the volume keys were pressed accidentally because even when the phone just lies there, flat on the table, this happens.
- I am on the latest OTA.
Over the past several weeks, while not being used (ie lock screen) my phone has randomly played about 10-20 seconds of audio while the screen remains black. It has consistently been from what seems to be a video where the person is showing a DIY for auto repair. When I unlock it i do not find any video apps open. I have not viewed any videos like this but this seemed to start after i was looking at some cars for sale online.

I noticed the blue light in the upper left stayed on and the phone was pulsing/vibrating a bit. I have been charging the phone for the last hour thinking that might be the issue. No. The blue light is still on. I tried removing the battery and SD card for 10 seconds before retrying to boot my phone. Nothing abut blue light and some pulses from time to time.

I connect my phone to my car's Bluetooth system during my drive to work in the morning in case I get a call. I usually listen to a podcast on my iPod, then switch to a CD if the podcast episode ends before I get to work. To do so, I flip past my Bluetooth audio setting on my radio. I've already disabled the Bluetooth connection for media in my phone, but all that's done is stop music from playing through the speakers of my car. My phone still begins to auto-play music, either music that's stored in my phone or launching Spotify and starting to play what I last listened to on there. I really don't like having to go onto my phone and close the app while I'm driving.

I have tried limiting the number of background apps, tried three different player, and installed an app that is supposed to keep music playing. None of these things have worked. View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever I play music through my phone, with or without headphones, there is a sporadic noise that sounds similar to a record skipping, but more distorted. It is not the two tone beep others have posted about, nor is it the usual problem with headphones. The sound occurs in multiple audio apps. The default music player worked fine up until about a week ago (maybe two?), then the noise started. At first, a secondary app worked fine, but today that started making the noise as well. Force quitting the default app worked for a while, stopping the noise when I started the app back up, but now it goes back to the noise almost immediately. What this noise is or how to stop it permanently?

I've set tone for email in email settings but now that gets played as well as the tone that's set for notifications in settings>sound>notification ringtone, when I only need one alert.
My iPhone 4S sometimes stops playing music by itself while I am playing music. This occurs while my phone is on standby/locked mode; that is I am not using any apps.

I'm using the stock MUSIC App/Widget ... I have the phone connected via Bluetooth to a portable speaker. It will play for a while (like 20-30 mins) and suddenly just stop playing. I check the APP on the phone & I press the PLAY button and in continues just fine - almost like STOP was pressed. I don't have any settings for turning it off after a certain time. This seems to happen intermittently on either of the Bluetooth accessories I pair with the phone. (Headphones or Speaker).

Before the update I could just turn my phone on vibrate or mute and the alerts wouldn't interrupt my music. I'll be singing along to a song when suddenly the music stops, an alert tone comes on and the "new sms message" pops up on my radio display. It's bad enough that half of my apps stop working randomly for no reason since the update.

The phone has even been reset to factory settings but I still can't get facebook notifications. I get no sound and no flashing light in the upper corner of the phone.
