Samsung Galaxy S II :: Playing BBC Videos On Site?
Nov 24, 2011
When I first got the phone it was on gingerbread 2.3.3 - now ive updated the firmware to 2.3.5 I can no longer play videos on the BBC website...[URL]When I click on play the red 'loading' circle goes round and round and round...nothing loads.I have flash 11 installed, tried resetting the browser to default.
I have had m S6 for nearly 2 months now and any videos I watch be it on the Internet or videos I have recorded go into slow motion with the sound going at normal speed.
So I just got a new SD card for my Galaxy S5. SanDisk 32GB micro. It's set up on my phone to save my pictures and videos I take to the card. It works great so far, shot lots of pictures and video over the weekend and they view and play back flawlessly on my phone.
When I got home however I uploaded the files to my computer, but the videos only play sound. The videos file type still shows mp4. The pictures are fine.
When I view previously recorded videos on my PC from my phone from BEFORE I got the SD card, they view normally with full audio/visual playback.
I'm using Windows Media Player.
Ergo it's obviously something with the new card. Codec perhaps?
Didn't notice that every video I record after my last update , can only record audio and video the first minute or less and then for some reason playback stops but you can still listen to audio. This has happened to all my recorded videos.
Read somewhere on the internet that you have to delete DATA and clear CACHE on the Camera app, have not recorded any video since then, but will try to see if this works.
I know mine is. Just playing PES2011 and its very hot. No heat warnings like my SGS did to me once but still. Its hot and feels as if the screen is the heat sink?
Just bought S2. First smart phone; choose the S2 rather than iPh.
Live just outside London and would like to use my S2 to play programs provided on BBC iPlayer. My S2 came with a BBC iPlayer icon available straight out of the box. When I click the bbc iplayer icon it displays a program that the bbc iPlayer site is promoting (the Graham Norton show in this instance). Firstly I'd like to play any program from iPlayer but when for example I click on Graham Norton show nothing happens but a message shows on the s2 (within the BBC app) stating "Please switch to Wi-Fi connection to play this program" - note: from the settings screen on the S2 I have wi-fi set on (I am also at home, where other devices are using my home wi-fi).
Is there any way of stopping audible notifications when playing music on the S2? I find the pause in the music and beep really annoying, but can't find a way of switching it off.
Over the past several weeks, while not being used (ie lock screen) my phone has randomly played about 10-20 seconds of audio while the screen remains black. It has consistently been from what seems to be a video where the person is showing a DIY for auto repair. When I unlock it i do not find any video apps open. I have not viewed any videos like this but this seemed to start after i was looking at some cars for sale online.
I was just playing a game, the phone got hot and turned off. I let it cool, it wouldn't turn on again. I noticed the blue light in the upper left stayed on and the phone was pulsing/vibrating a bit. I have been charging the phone for the last hour thinking that might be the issue. No. The blue light is still on. I tried removing the battery and SD card for 10 seconds before retrying to boot my phone. Nothing abut blue light and some pulses from time to time.
whenever i try to play an online video that is not on Internet my browser crashes i tried different browser such as opra mini and dolphin but still no luck and this happens on different videos for ex:
on the same site i can play a video normally but an other video on the same site crashes my browser some times i hit play the buffering starts and stops at 1% and then it freezes up and crashes can anyone tell me whats going on with my s2
i just got a galaxy s2 and the videos keep crashing the phone while using the video player that comes with the phone. also, the phone crashes when watching video on the Internet app and embedded videos on webpages. dice player seems to work ok though.
Its been 4 weeks since I upgraded to SGS II,,so far so good,,have the following issues though:
1. the battery life,,I get just about 24 hrs with moderate usage,, 2. The phone gets reallly hot when the GPS or some of the games are on,,I mean reaallllyy hot. 3. I don't seem to be able to send videos via the MMS?? even a 6 second clips is rejected as (TOO long)??!! 4. If u write a text message that's too long ( more than 3 standard text messages) it converts to MMS!! Despite the above,,,I am still very happy the I left the apple world for this,,cant believe I stayed with iphone for 2 years ??!!
Video files recorded on my sgs2 have the file extension mp4 but wont play on my sony bravia tv or via my sumvision cyclone mkv2 media player. They do however play on my windows 7 laptop.wehen playing a video on the sgs2 you can get more info by tapping menu/details. This tells me the format is 3gpp. I believe 3gpp forms a simple wrapper around the mp4 file and suspect this is the element my other devices can't handle. If I copy the files to my laptop and convert them to mp4 using [RZ Video Converter] program then copy them back to my sgs2... They now play fine on all my devices including the sgs2.
I open my gallery, and find strange commercials and such saved to my video files. It's gotta come from the web browser I would think, but why would files save automatically, without me ever noticing anything? Also, there's a problem with this website... every time I try to post a thread, I hit Submit and get taken to a blank screen with this URL:[URL]It drives me up a wall, because I have to post on here using Internet Explorer.
Dropped phone 3 stories out of a window and LCD and screen broken and wont turn on so cannot retrieve data, pictures or videos it wont sync to computer and I don't know the username or password of the Gmail that is connected to the phone.
When I open sent or received picture texts, they appear with a white circle and black triangle as if it were a 'play' button. If I click on the pictures, they open as if they were a video, 'playing' anywhere from 5 - 10 seconds with a play bar below. There's no problem opening or downloading the photos, but it's weird/annoying that pictures are opening this way.
just launched a new Mobile TV and video site which gives free access to live TV channels and video clips. The service works on iPhone, iPod and about 90% of mobile phones. We would really appreciate it if you could test the service and give us some feedback on how well it worked for you and what phone / network you were using. This will help us to improve the service and bring you more free mobile TV.Please go to www.yamgo.mobi on your mobile phone. Please note streaming is data intensive so make sure you either have a data plan on your phone or are using WiFi. Our platform will adapt to your network conditions from 2.5G to WiFi. WiFi gives the best quality. We'll be launching 20 new live TV channel over the next couple of weeks and 6000+ new extreme sports videos.
I want to unlock my fido locked Samsung Gravity SHG-T456. I tried ebay for the code and wasn't successfully able to get the code.Is there a good site to unlock the samsung gravity?
Not sure how this changed. Use to be able to simply view videos and photos on websites, but now they must be downloaded to be viewed, which isn't ideal. Would love to go back to just viewing, but can't find settings to make this happen anywhere.
I'm unable to access my videos or music as a message is displayed saying 'not enough memory'. My internal storage says I have used 739MB and have 1.2GB free. My external 8GB micro sd card shows I have 5.6GB available. However, my usb storage says I've used 12GB and have no free space. I guess the usb storage is the problem (unless there is something else) and I would like to know how I came to fill up the usb storage when I thought I was saving things to my external 8GB sd card.how to rectify the problem and also how to manage it in the future?
I wonder if anyone here knows how to load standard subtitles files (.srt) while playing video files (like .avi) on my SGS2. There's an idle "Subtitles" button on the bottom right of the player's menu, which I hadn't been able to use. Should I try a different one from the Android market?
I have an SIII but no one seems to be viewing those forums so I thought I would ask here. I've always stored my music in folders sorted by artist and never bothered with tagging as long as the file names started with numbers. I have over 300 gigs in music so I'm not about to start tagging now. my 32 gig sd card has 4500 music files. The music player doesn't play nice with my sorting - artist view winds up showing the same artists 10 times or sorts out compiltation albums while folder view has every single album (300-400 or so) sorted alphabetically.
I would like to go into the external sd card and play directly from there. I can do that, but only a single track will play and you can't use any other apps or browse when the track plays. Am I stupid or something? This is the main reason why I've always used Cowon music players or my sansa clip, I can simply go into folders and play. I have media monkey and love it but even there I use the folder directory.
I sent a video from my htc wildfire to my computer. the video plays fine but with no sound at all the only way i can play it with sound is on quicktime, it wont play sound on any other program. i really want to put this video onto facebook but when i send it directly from the phone to facebook their is still no sound. does anybody know of how i can upload the video with the sound?
