Dec 12, 2011I've been trying to take advantage of googles 10p app promotion but it seems that for any app I buy I get stuck at the "starting download" screen. This is the first time I've tried buying an app and its just not working. I can download free apps from the Market just fine, its just the paid apps that are giving me grief! I've googled about and tried the "clear cache" from Market app and "clear data" from download manager but it just doesn't work!
Rooted GS2 on standard O2 firmware connecting via wifi.
Galaxy S6 :: Phone Starting To Slow Down
May 22, 2015I've had my GS6 for about 6 weeks now and for the most part its been good but i've noticed in the past week or so its starting to slow down. Camera doesnt launch as quick as it used to with double tap, switching between apps is not as fast, scrolling thru websites isnt as smooth, it stutters now. I've restarted the phone and that works for a few hours then back to slow.

Jun 29, 2011Its been 4 weeks since I upgraded to SGS II,,so far so good,,have the following issues though:
1. the battery life,,I get just about 24 hrs with moderate usage,,
2. The phone gets reallly hot when the GPS or some of the games are on,,I mean reaallllyy hot.
3. I don't seem to be able to send videos via the MMS?? even a 6 second clips is rejected as (TOO long)??!!
4. If u write a text message that's too long ( more than 3 standard text messages) it converts to MMS!!
Despite the above,,,I am still very happy the I left the apple world for this,,cant believe I stayed with iphone for 2 years ??!!
Samsung Galaxy S II :: Videos Won't Play On Other Devices
May 20, 2011Video files recorded on my sgs2 have the file extension mp4 but wont play on my sony bravia tv or via my sumvision cyclone mkv2 media player. They do however play on my windows 7 laptop.wehen playing a video on the sgs2 you can get more info by tapping menu/details. This tells me the format is 3gpp. I believe 3gpp forms a simple wrapper around the mp4 file and suspect this is the element my other devices can't handle.If I copy the files to my laptop and convert them to mp4 using [RZ Video Converter] program then copy them back to my sgs2... They now play fine on all my devices including the sgs2.

Jul 8, 2010How can I get videos from my computer to play on my phone? I've tried mp4 and 3gp and I can put them on my SD card but they don't show up on my phone anywhere, in any of the folders. I've already formatted my card, etc. I am adding them by connecting the phone with USB. If I need to actually take the card out, put it in the adapter and plug it into my computer, that is fine, but I am unsure of how to get my card out of my phone, haha, I don't see anyway to get it out.

If I click on the pictures, they open as if they were a video, 'playing' anywhere from 5 - 10 seconds with a play bar below. There's no problem opening or downloading the photos, but it's weird/annoying that pictures are opening this way.

My external 8GB micro sd card shows I have 5.6GB available. However, my usb storage says I've used 12GB and have no free space. Apr 24, 2015For whatever reason, Pandora stops after each song when my phone goes off and the only way to go to the next song is by turning the screen back on and opening the app. WiFi is set to always on during sleep. I'm connected via Bluetooth if that matters. Is it the app? There's a setting in advanced in Pandora about auto lock and I have clicked and unclicked and it still stops after each song. Once I turn the screen back on and open the app, the advertisement turns back on or the next song plays.

Sep 8, 2014I started using Hangouts again for SMS on my Verizon S5 and quickly remembered why I had stopped in the first place. I cannot seem to turn off the Hangouts app vibrations for new texts. See, I use Light Flow for all my notifications, and I have it set up to vibrate twice when I get a new text message. Light Flow is working fine, but the problem is that there is always a third, longer vibration immediately before the Light Flow ones. I assume it's coming from the Hangouts app itself but I've poured through every setting, turned off vibrate everywhere I've seen it, and yet the single, long vibrate persists. I've even gone through all the main phone settings to no avail. I'm also relatively certain that Light Flow isn't the issue; when I disable that app, I still get the single, long vibration from Hangouts.

I usually watch videos on chrome while laying on the bed so on my iphone i rotate the video to landscape and watch while the phone is portrait. Using the s6 was a bit different i had to use the phone 180 degrees so that the auto rotation wont disturb the video while watching it landcape on portrait.

All of the recovery apps I've found won't work on files lost before the app was installed, and the only Windows based programs I've been able to find require the phone to be recognized as a USB device, which doesn't seem like an option for the S5.
