Dropped phone 3 stories out of a window and LCD and screen broken and wont turn on so cannot retrieve data, pictures or videos it wont sync to computer and I don't know the username or password of the Gmail that is connected to the phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I turn my Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon phone on there is blackness all over the lock screen, where the numbers are is completely blacked out. There is no way for me to enter my password. I want to connect it to my windows PC via USB cable to backup contacts/text messages/emails/documents I've created/photographs. My verizon cloud is full so there are some things on the phone that I need to backup. It seems like every software I have tried needs you to enter the phone password first and enable USB debugging mode. I cannot do this because the screen is so blacked out I cannot see any of the numbers, the OK button, or the delete button.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI ended up breaking the LCD screen on my S5 a few days ago and now that a replacement is on its way, I would like to retrieve the pictures off of the internal memory. However, when I plug my device into the computer (still turns on and works, just no display) it says no files are on the phone. I'm used to this because I've always had to unlock the phone itself in order to get into the memory on a computer. I can't enter the code since the screen is broken and not taking input as far as I can tell. So. Am I just out of luck here? Or is there another way to access this photos? Which if not it is no big deal since there weren't any IMPORTANT images on there.

My screen on my SGS2 is shattered. Before I have it fixed, I'd like to backup everything via Kies (I haven't backed up in a while before my phone fell). My phone goes on when switched on, the soft buttons light up like usual - I'm taking this as signs of normal functioning. But I simply cannot seem to get my phone to talk to Kies via USB connection through my PC. Also, am I right in assuming that the 'touch' on the screen wont work if its cracked?
Is there any way I can backup my phone before I send it in to be repaired?
My phone fell on the floor, and the screen cracked and when I go to use my phone the screen is black and flashes white at me. I cant do anything with it, is there any way to recover my photos? I've tried plugging it in and looking for my photos but it says none can be found. I also have taken the SIM card out already and put it in my new phone, does that make a difference....

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy beloved Galaxy S2 is currently with T-mobile for assessment as a result of a broken screen (under the glass) and the view of the shop was that as it was a broken screen it was automatically my fault.I am at a loss as to how they can know this without even seeing the phone. Hence why I was unprepared to pre-authorise a repair without knowing the cost first.I have no issue with paying if it is my fault (like I did when I put a phone through the washing machine or when I dropped one on a sharp stone and shattered the screen or when I left one on the car roof and drove off only to see it bounce in the rear view mirror!) but this time it was very different as the screen went black as if power had gone and it needed to be switched back on - i initially thought it was a power fault. The next day I discovered a crack in the screen.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently dropped my Droid Turbo and after picking it up, saw that my screen no longer worked at all and it began restarting itself and playing the "Start up" sound effect over and over. I have important contacts and pictures on this phone and I'd really like to be able to save them. So far I can (sometimes) see it is attached to my computer, but I can retrieve any files because I can't turn on media sharing due to the broken screen and continuous restarting.
I have already gotten my replacement from the warranty I bought from Verizon but I'm unable to connect them to transfer anything. I have also already switched over the simcard and it seems nothing was saved on there either in relation to my contacts or pictures. (If that's even what a sim card is for?)
My girlfriend dropped her phone and the screen has smashed on the inside but there is no smash on the outside. She is getting a replacement phone but wants to retrieve her photos from her old phone. I have tried installing samsung kies but I cannot access anything as she has a passcode on the phone. All the button still light up but the screen just doesnt respond and is constantly black. When I connect the USB cable to the phone nothing happens either and I cannot access the files through my computer to even drag and drop them.
View 8 Replies View Relatedtried installing the ms apps using a third party app since i saw it worked on other people's phones and i thought i would give it a shot i was wrong for about 3-4 days i've been scouring the internet trying to find a solution to the Home screen:feature not supported bug or whatever it is, but to no avail. I am starting to become a bit desperate as the gallery simply will not work no matter what i do, .jpgs wont open, and my phone has been handicapped in the most literal sense of the word. Also i've tried hard resetting twice but to no result. I've considered hacking the phone and installing a custom firmware but i didnt want to destroy the phone completely, and also waiting for the feature pack might take too long for me.

They need repair estimate. Called Samsung and they only have one 3rd party repair shop in Montreal. So I have to ship it to them,and then wait for 2 weeks to get an estimate. Telus said, it takes 2-6 weeks for the process.I am going out of the country in 3 weeks or less and wanted to get a better timing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedDuring the last six months of so the problems with the hires camera in my SGS2 have turned from being just really annoying to fatal. Earlier, my camera or the firmware/software had poor abilities to focus the picture correctly giving blurry and random results. Later on, the saving or processing of the photos right after shooting were stopped by crashing of the samsung Camera software. This happened by camera app giving error message and then shutting down itself. Finally, after the firmware update (I9100XWLPG) about a week ago the camera has totally stopped working. The application shows no live picture and crashes after 10-15 sec. I cannot access the settings and the only thing the application does is that it turns the icons on screen along with the rotation of the phone.

All of the recovery apps I've found won't work on files lost before the app was installed, and the only Windows based programs I've been able to find require the phone to be recognized as a USB device, which doesn't seem like an option for the S5. I've deactivated the old phone and activated my new phone. I've been reading other responses for a similar problem but it seems like most of them have not activated the new phone yet and were able to wipe the phone using the Android Device Manager. Since I've already activated my new phone, if I use ADM it finds my new phone and not my old phone.
Is there a way to wipe the data off of the old phone with a broken screen after I've already activated my new phone?
i just got a galaxy s2 and the videos keep crashing the phone while using the video player that comes with the phone. also, the phone crashes when watching video on the Internet app and embedded videos on webpages. dice player seems to work ok though.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIts been 4 weeks since I upgraded to SGS II,,so far so good,,have the following issues though:
1. the battery life,,I get just about 24 hrs with moderate usage,,
2. The phone gets reallly hot when the GPS or some of the games are on,,I mean reaallllyy hot.
3. I don't seem to be able to send videos via the MMS?? even a 6 second clips is rejected as (TOO long)??!!
4. If u write a text message that's too long ( more than 3 standard text messages) it converts to MMS!!
Despite the above,,,I am still very happy the I left the apple world for this,,cant believe I stayed with iphone for 2 years ??!!
