When I open sent or received picture texts, they appear with a white circle and black triangle as if it were a 'play' button. If I click on the pictures, they open as if they were a video, 'playing' anywhere from 5 - 10 seconds with a play bar below. There's no problem opening or downloading the photos, but it's weird/annoying that pictures are opening this way.

have received some video/picture messages but i cannot hear anything. my volume is on....i am somewhat sure of that. why can i not hear the sound? i know with the iphone it is automatic. is there something in my settings?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I send a text from work to my wife from my iphone 4 she receives an email on her iphone 3GS and her ipad 2 from <my phone number>@media messaging.o2.co.uk. The email says 'Here's a picture message you've been sent from <my phone number>. The message has no other content even though it is indicated that there is an attachment.
Is this a problem with my network provider or are there some settings which need changing?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am one of 5 people I know with galaxy sII. 2 of us have no problems with mms but the other 3 receive mms and the attached photo is not visible and a "downloading" message is in the message and the picture never actually ever appears. When the same people try to send an message with a photo attached it just says "sending" indefinitely until deleted. We have compared what functions are "ticked" in the message settings and we all have "auto retrieve" ticked and nothing else ticked. Is there something else that needs to be done?

After I press the end call button, the top bar is lit green and after I slide it down, even though I click on the END button, the call seems to stay alive. 1. the battery life,,I get just about 24 hrs with moderate usage,,
2. The phone gets reallly hot when the GPS or some of the games are on,,I mean reaallllyy hot.
3. I don't seem to be able to send videos via the MMS?? even a 6 second clips is rejected as (TOO long)??!!
4. If u write a text message that's too long ( more than 3 standard text messages) it converts to MMS!!
Despite the above,,,I am still very happy the I left the apple world for this,,cant believe I stayed with iphone for 2 years ??!!
I switched from an iPhone to the S5 in mid december and have had issues with getting texts. I have read a lot about it, so I shut off iMessage on my mac and even disabled my number with iMessage on Apple's site. However, I am still not receiving some texts from iPhones. If they send a text just to me i get it fine (even though they may have to click send as a text message) but I won't be able to get it in a group text. It is frustrating because I can see some texts but not all of them. This has been happening for over a month now.
