Default contact profile picture for me doesn't show up in sms app for Samsung Galaxy s6... the other persons picture appears next to their text, but mine does not. I previously had the S3 and my picture appeared next to my messages. How to have my picture next to my texts for my S6?
View 2 RepliesI buyed sony ericsson xperia mini pro few months back. at that time i synced my contacts with facebook with facebook app. And i got all my friend's profile pictures as my contact pictures. But now when i changed my memory card i also formated my phone. I took backup of contacts on sim card. after installing new memory card i imported my contacts back to phone and synced facebook once again with my phone contacts. This time they got synced too but their facebook profile pics are not becoming my contact pictures. I also tried enabling facebook inside xperia but still it didn't worked. I want to get them done as quickly as possible.

My problem is all of my contacts somehow have a custom (or personalized) ringer. When I edit my contact details and go into Custom Ring Tones/Alerts,they ALL have Ringer_ClassicPhone as the personalized ringer...
Is there any way to re-set all my "personalized" ringers for my contacts or somehow make them default to my profile's set ringer?Also, I recently installed BerryBuzz and I believe this started happening (or at least I noticed it) afterwards...

So I've done my best to find a solution to my custom sound profile problems,but I can't seem to find any similar posts. On my 9700 the default sound profile overrides the custom profile. From everything I've read so far it's supposed to be the opposite correct? What am I missing or not understanding?

View 24 Replies View RelatedWhen I open sent or received picture texts, they appear with a white circle and black triangle as if it were a 'play' button. If I click on the pictures, they open as if they were a video, 'playing' anywhere from 5 - 10 seconds with a play bar below. There's no problem opening or downloading the photos, but it's weird/annoying that pictures are opening this way.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to the new blackberry 9900. I backed up my old device and transferred across all my contacts.
All contacts appear in BBM, but none of them have there display pictures showing. have checked with contacts via sms and they do not see my current profile picture either, even though I have one to display.
All data works and can BBM contacts with no issue. All data files have been updated by vodafone as well. I have tried a re install and also a battery pull.
When I try to add a picture to my Wallet profile, the app sends me to Google+ (app says that Google+ manages profile photos). I have a profile photo already set up in Google+ but can't seem to get it recognized in Wallet.
All syncs are working, AFAIK. I'd really like to have a profile picture in Wallet. Not a huge deal; just that now it's not working makes it a challenge.
Why won't it let me upload a profile picture (web portal)...I have a jpeg and its under the max file size but it will never take. I see some people were successful and have photos.

I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter having gone a couple of months withs with Gingerbread without any problems to report I started experiencing a strange thing with incoming calls, texts, emails, etc.For incoming calls, the number displayed is the correct number but the screen pulls an incorrect name from my contacts list and displays a picture (taken from either LinkedIn or Facebook profiles) that is from a third, different contact.So the number is for Contact A and is the actual caller, the name that is displayed is contact B and the photo is contact c.If I go to make an outgoing call, the same thing in the inverse occurs.I choose Contact A and it dials contact A but displays it is calling contact B.This has caused me to have to double & triple check when I am making calls to ensure that it is calling the right contacts.
A similar thing happens for texts, incoming texts display the correct number from which they are originating but display that they are from a different contact name.When I go to send a text and enter a number it indicates that it is sending it to the correct phone number but with a different name assocaited with that number. Finally, something similar is happening in email messaging. If I hit reply, while the actual email address is correct the contact name that it lists is incorrect.

Context:I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my work contacts (via google apps). I would like to keep these contact lists separate and apart from one another, but accessible if required. However, as this device is primarily for work, I'd like to not have my personal contacts appearing every time i open the Contacts app. The effect I am trying to achieve is after opening contacts --> click menu --> click "Select Contact List..." --> and choosing one.Is there a way to save this as a preference/default so I don't have to filter each time i open my contact list?
