I am wondering if there is a way to get contact pics to show for messenger conversions. I have my contexts synced with Facebook, but the pic do not show in messenger. I upgraded from a S3 and it did this but I can't figure it out how to on the S6.

For some reason, when I go to dial a number imported from the cloud it'll show up doubled, as seen below. It will show the same exact numbers (in this example, both work and mobile) twice. Is there any way to change this so that I get one mobile and one work phone? Running Android 5.0

So I added all my freidns back on my bbm. But most of them arent showing their pics. When they change their pic seems to solve that problem but still annoying for those that don't.Also, my profile pic is not showing to anyone. I've changed it a couple of times but still nothing!

It shows them as offline to other people who are on their computers even though someone else can see you typing and receive messages just fine. It only shows the phone icon beside the contacts name.

I'm trying to add a contact to my BB messenger. I have the pin # and have been chatting back in forth for a week. I want to create a group and add her (my daughter). I can create the group with no problem. But I can't add her. I've looked all over the postings and the answer is always the same. Open messenger, click menu and click add contact...but there is no add contact on the menu. There is also no "use once option" . All the postings talk about adding from my address book, and she's in there with the pin...but no option to add her. I can send a pin to her and inviite messenger, but it just sits there pending. I can;t add her. I'ver uninstalled and re-installed...same thing...no add contact option. I have the latest version 5.0.1.41, and we both have data plans. Has the add contact option been removed in this version? Or is there a workaround I'm missing. I've also checked all of the permissions and they're all ok.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a BlackBerry Bold 9700 from AT&T and I updated the BB Messenger to version 5.0.0.57. While I'm trying to add my friends PIN who lives in the same area as I am it's working. However, I have some friends in Thailand when I added their PIN they received my request and they did accepted it but the contact still on pending. I already try it many times it still on pending.
Moreover, during group chat my friends in Thailand can see my messages but I can't see their messages. Is there any possible explaination to this problem?
The problem I am facing is that I added my dad at BBM (he is in malaysia i'm in the UK), we can see each other's contact at bbm, but we can't communicate. I can receive his voice notes and everything. I can send him a message too, BUT with a tick next to my messages but without R or D, he claims that he didnt receive any of them.
I tried battery pull, deleting and adding contact (took a while as it takes time for the friend request to be accepted/ add to friend list) and ... googling and i ran out of ideas.
Is it a problem with my blackberry 9700 white or my dad's? or his carrier?
This morning i got a message that my BB messenger should be updated.After the update and installation it gave a few errors (forget to make screenshots) but since then my contact list is gone.
Lateron when i logged in again it asked me to look for my ' old '' contacts. I waited a few minutes and nothing happened so i decided to reboot my BB. After that my contact list was still empty and now i dont have my friends pins saved somewhere.Anybody got an idea of how to get the old list back?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen uploading my pics for my contacts, (doesn't matter if they're taken from FB or taken with camera), they upload blurry/compressed.
I spent 4.5/hours with customer service agents from Verizon to Motorola. They concluded I needed to exchange my brand new phone after a factory reset and several "cache and data clearings" did not work.
The new phone is doing the exact same thing. I thought I could just deal with the contacts being blurred, until I tried to upload a profile pic onto Skype & I couldn't make it out.
Factory reset does not work for this. Nor does clearing the cache/data.
I think I inadvertly deleted or blocked a contact on BBM. I have read several posts and tried several methods of re-adding them.
They can see my invitation, accept it so that I show as a contact on their BBM, but the status remains pending on my phone & I don't receive their messages.
BBM works fine for all of my contacts. I have tried deleting them as a contact, inviting them by PIN no, scanning barcodes.
Not being familiar with BBM, I recently added it to my phone with no security options turned on. Friday I received a ton of requests (from unknown people) to add mine to their contact lists, which I declined. They each were removed from my message list when I declined them. However, one of the messages will not go away. I have clicked "decline" and have attempted to delete the message, neither of which has had any effect.
I have since blocked incoming PIN messages in my firewall with exceptions of "Contacts" and "Specific Addresses".
I've never used blackberry messenger. overnight i had a messenger contact request from some unknown person so declined the request. now whenever i press menu when viewing a txt, i get the 'forward to messenger contact' showing as the 3rd option. How do i get rid of either this showing or blackberry messenger completely?

well i had a curve 8520 backed it up using desktop manager, so than i restored it on to my bold 9700 couple of days later i was talking to my mate and on his blackberry it had a RED "X" on there so i deleted him and tried adding him but it keeps saying pending, this also happens with 2 other contacts.

When somebody in my contacts list calls my BB Bold 9930 I do not see the contact name, just the phone number. However when my BB is unlocked and somebody in my contacts list calls then I see the associated name with the number. When the phone is locked then I only see the number. How can I see the caller name for anyone who is in my contacts list even when my phone is locked?

I have a contact on iphone to which are attached several mobile numbers. When this contact sends me an sms I only get his name, how can i see the number he is sending me that sms from? so in simpler words I want to inverse the process and instead of showing me the contact name I want my iphone to show me the phone number of the sms sender. Because oddly enough I haven't found anyone having this query online although I imagine lots of people have contacts with multiple phone numbers attached to them and inevitably sometimes you want to know which number that contact is using to send you an sms from! Btw I have an iphone4 with iOS 5.1 installed.
