well i had a curve 8520 backed it up using desktop manager, so than i restored it on to my bold 9700 couple of days later i was talking to my mate and on his blackberry it had a RED "X" on there so i deleted him and tried adding him but it keeps saying pending, this also happens with 2 other contacts.

I have tried to add a contact on bb messenger with the bar code and also the PIN. It has shown pending - waiting for authorization for days. I have checked the I am listening to box. It does this for any contacted that I try to add.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got a BlackBerry Bold 9700 from AT&T and I updated the BB Messenger to version 5.0.0.57. While I'm trying to add my friends PIN who lives in the same area as I am it's working. However, I have some friends in Thailand when I added their PIN they received my request and they did accepted it but the contact still on pending. I already try it many times it still on pending.
Moreover, during group chat my friends in Thailand can see my messages but I can't see their messages. Is there any possible explaination to this problem?

Deleted BBM an reinstalled. Tried adding contact with PIN, barcode and email. Always goes to pending. Same happens when contact trys to add me. At my wits end with itUpgraded to new OS software (Via vodafone remote access) but still same problem. reinstalled new version of bbm but problem still exists. Called RIM with number vodafone gave me in uk but they say all fine ??

However when my BB is unlocked and somebody in my contacts list calls then I see the associated name with the number. When the phone is locked then I only see the number. View 3 Replies View RelatedJust realized the other day you can make a Group in the BBM's and send one message to multiple people. So, I was trying it out. I sent a request to 2 people, to join. One accepted no problem.. For the second person, their request to join didn't seem to go through, so I sent it multiple times. But they HAD joined & then deleted, as test was over.
By the time we were done testing, got it all sorted out. Deleted the Group etc... I guess because for 1 of the people I send the request multiple times thinking it wasn't going through I now have "Pending" sitting at the bottom of the BBM area, & can't get rid of the Pending notification (pending waiting for them to join). They joined once. Deleted. & they no longer have it showing at their end, to join.
all contacts come up as pending when i add them, no invites are coming through?

Once I downloaded I pressed open it did and after I downloaded another one different one pressed open and I got this message "The document could not be opened because there is a pending dialog in Documents To Go. I have a contact on iphone to which are attached several mobile numbers. When this contact sends me an sms I only get his name, how can i see the number he is sending me that sms from? so in simpler words I want to inverse the process and instead of showing me the contact name I want my iphone to show me the phone number of the sms sender. Because oddly enough I haven't found anyone having this query online although I imagine lots of people have contacts with multiple phone numbers attached to them and inevitably sometimes you want to know which number that contact is using to send you an sms from! View 4 Replies View RelatedI have this weird problem on my 3GS. This is what happens:
1. Someone calls me from number not in my contacts.
2. I go to my "recents" and click the arrow, and then "create new contact".
3. I type a name (Lyle) and click "save".
4. In "recents" the number now shows up as "Lyle", everything seems ok.
5. In the "contacts app" Lyle does not exist. Therefore also does not sync with mobileme.
If I add a contact in the contact app itself, everything works fine.
