My contacts' telephone numbers are not saved with the international dialing code. However incoming texts from my contacts come with international dialing code and therefore the contact's name do not appear on the text.

However when my BB is unlocked and somebody in my contacts list calls then I see the associated name with the number. When the phone is locked then I only see the number. How can I see the caller name for anyone who is in my contacts list even when my phone is locked?

I only recently got my first Android phone, a Motorola Droid 2 and I absolutely love it (though the extended battery is a must-have and probably should just come bundled with the device!) but since I got it, I've been having a very curious issue. Occasionally, when I receive a text message, it displays the sender's correct phone number but the name displayed is that of a different contact. Even when I'm having a back-and-forth text conversation, one of the incoming texts will suddenly appear with someone else's name.

View 14 Replies View RelatedAll my contacts are synced, Facebook profile pics show up on the contact list but Caller ID photos do not show for incoming/sending calls. Its just the generic picture. However Google+ profile pictures do appear in a small circle on the bottom left corner on a gray background.

PS: The problem started after the 5.0 update. I've already reset the phone and tried doing the update with PC Companion. Nothing works.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the latest update for the Blackberry Torch (6.0) and I cannot charge my phone. I have tried to charge via a USB port and several wall outlets. I have removed the battery (following possible solutions found on this forum) - while the phone is on, with it turned off, and while it was plugged into a wall socket. It displays the charging icon for a few moments and then stops charging. Also, my phone does not always show the caller ID of an incoming call. I have edited my contacts list on several occasions to have each contact saved as +11234567 and 1234567. I have reformatted the phone twice since purchasing. I was so excited about this phone when it came out, bought it shortly after release.

A couple of weeks ago I changed the default ringtone for my incoming text messages. It would work for some contacts but not others so I changed it on the individual contacts by going into their information. I have now tried changing it again but it does not work on one of my contacts. Text messages from other individuals work fine but the one I'm having problems with will only vibrate not ring. I've changed it in the default, I've changed it in their individual account info -- but nothing.

The one thing I don't get is the picture contacts that I have don't show up when the phone is locked, (the caller ID and specific ring tone if used do), they do show up though if the phone is unlocked, so I'm confused. I know there is the caller ID issue that is resolved by un-ticking contacts in encryption which is what I have done otherwise the contact ID's wouldn't show up when locked. It's not the end of the world, but just a niggle that I would like to resolve.

If I reply the missing message will then show up in the chat above my reply. A battery pull solves this problem but it only seems to be a temporary fix as it has happened again.
This is on the Torch 9810, 7.0 bundle 1328.
I can see the first few words when I open my text messages, but cannot see the rest of the message when I click on or open the message.I can see the history and full message content from everyone else, just not messages from this one contact.

I have restarted my phone by taking out the barrery and the SIM card 3 times with no change. As has my contact (he has a BlackBerry Curve). I have checked my Firewall settings (they are switched off) and neither of us are in each others blocked list.

Before on the 9700 when you received a text, e-mail whatever tone was assigned to that contact came through. I guess that feature is gone.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I am using the nokia 5310 and even though I am using a sim card with all my names stored in it, when I get a call or a text from someone who is in my phonebook it still just shows up as a number.
Also the names are not in order in my phone book.I am using this phone in Canada, and I got it from Ireland so the time on my incoming messages is 5 hours behind.So many issues!!
