When I receive SMS it shows the date/time I RECEIVED it but NOT the date/time someone SENT it to me.When I turn my phone on in the morning, or have been out of a signal & the come into range (happens often where I live), I then cannot tell when it was sent.
View 2 RepliesI receive messages from people hours after they tell me they sent them but when I receive them it has the current time listed, as if it was just sent. It would be fantastic to know the msg was sent at 10am and now being 2:30pm, I can have a better reply. It's definitely with the phone, because I know a few of the people have the same service provider but different phones. When messages are received on my wifes phone, it shows when they were sent, not the current time. I've looked at my settings but do not see a way to change this, is there a way?

However when my BB is unlocked and somebody in my contacts list calls then I see the associated name with the number. When the phone is locked then I only see the number. How can I see the caller name for anyone who is in my contacts list even when my phone is locked?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have tried several different OS versions - including the current 5.0.0.442, and several previous versions, and I cannot set "show free time" and "show end time" to "no". I have also tried this across different devices since TMO just warranty swapped my old one and it is still happening on the new one. When I change it to "no" it won't save - I can click "save" and nothing happens, I can't exit the screen until I click "discard". Ideas? This makes me nuts.

Callers are given the option of tagging them as "urgent", which on my Windows phone, meant that they came in with a little red exclamation point (just as Outlook does). Urgent messages on iphone's mail app, though, don't seem to have any such indicator. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

The Bold 9700 has a big prblem with its SMS service because it only shows the 1st sender only and I always think messages coming are from the same guy!! I can not answer because I am not sure of the sender as it doesn't show! what shall I do?

im having a problem with sending text sms messages. When isend these messages i get a check mark showing they have been sent. Why should i assume otherwise? And then i hear from multiple people that they received them at 4am or the next day or even just 30 minutes later and out of order. I even tested this with a friend sitting side by side. Out of 3 text messages sent, he only got the 2nd one and didnt receive any of the others. I read on another forum that it might be because my sim card might be old? Is this the knly possible explanation? It is probably at least 4-5 yrs old since i just get new phones but keep my sim card.

I figure I would have to do this in Options, but when I click on Option while I'm in the Inbox, nothing happens - just goes back to the inbox. I've tried resetting my device, pulling the battery, etc. to no avail.

For a while now I can only view text messages from the "message" icon on my phone. I used to be able to view 2 different email accounts. The only way I can see my emails now is from the little window just below where the time is displayed.

I see that there is an option to create a customized profile, but I am not able to figure out how this might be accomplished.Anyone know how I can select "to receive only calls from 2 people" in my contact list? View 8 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning (24th December), and my phone had set the date and time to the 29th November, and the time is 6 hours behind (its now 3pm and it is apparently 8:43 on my phone.) Moreover, I can't read my text messages, I can't see text messages that I send, and my blackberry services have stopped working (i.e.. I cannot send emails or access BBM.) I have restarted/rebooted the phone almost a million times, but every time it comes back on the time keeps being set back to 7:49 every single time. I have no idea what to do!

My contacts' telephone numbers are not saved with the international dialing code. However incoming texts from my contacts come with international dialing code and therefore the contact's name do not appear on the text.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the latest update for the Blackberry Torch (6.0) and I cannot charge my phone. I have tried to charge via a USB port and several wall outlets. I have removed the battery (following possible solutions found on this forum) - while the phone is on, with it turned off, and while it was plugged into a wall socket. It displays the charging icon for a few moments and then stops charging. Also, my phone does not always show the caller ID of an incoming call. I have edited my contacts list on several occasions to have each contact saved as +11234567 and 1234567. I have reformatted the phone twice since purchasing. I was so excited about this phone when it came out, bought it shortly after release.

I only recently got my first Android phone, a Motorola Droid 2 and I absolutely love it (though the extended battery is a must-have and probably should just come bundled with the device!) but since I got it, I've been having a very curious issue. Occasionally, when I receive a text message, it displays the sender's correct phone number but the name displayed is that of a different contact. Even when I'm having a back-and-forth text conversation, one of the incoming texts will suddenly appear with someone else's name.
