Mar 27, 2012Does anyone know a SHORTCUT to view all unread messages for the Blackberry bold? I found out on google that you can do this but with older Blackberrys.

Jun 14, 2010I have searched around and found many problems faced regarding the email icon showing unread emails but in actual fact there are none. My problem however is the opposite of that - there are unread emails but it is not indicating as such.
This is specifically for Gmail as all my other email accounts are showing unread emails just fine. It is a minor issue but it does get on my nerves trying to figure this out.
Recent activities include upgrading OS to OS5 and changing telco, doubt if these are the cause of it. I have tried deleting and creating the email account and battery pull to no avail.

Mar 26, 2010Everything is superb however 1 thing is annoying me and i cant seem to sort it, ive had a look round the forum and cant see this elsewhere.
When viewing "Messages" im getting Emails but its also displaying BBM messages too, the help files say check Filters but i dont even have that as an option when clicking Menu > Options. I just want Emails displayed in messages nothing else, SMS and MMS is together in another view, which is fine.

Jul 9, 2012I deleted a few messages before I read them, and it now it says I have 4 unread messages, yet my messages are cleared. I tried restarting, reconciling, taking the battery out,Since I deleted the messages, I cannot go back and click on it to mark it has "read" and therefore take the notifications away.

Sep 6, 2011I recently added a personal email account (gmail) to my BB which is primarily used for work.
I have amassed 24 unread emails in my gmail account on my home screen, for which I cannot remove. I have:
1. Deleted all the emails in this account
2. Removed the account and recreated it on the BB
3. Removed the battery
Unfortunately, none of the above has removed the alleged unread emails from my home screen.

May 20, 2010I recently upgraded to the .610. At first it was just one sms and the number has gone up to 4 unread sms messages and i have looked and searched everywhere, deleted, did numerous battery pulls, even leaving the battery out for an extended amount of time, tried changing the theme etc etc. Is there any way to fix this?

Microsoft Outlook (Windows XP)I'm wondering if anyone has a fix for this issue? if i have a calendar entry which is "all day" or a calendar entry which spans across multiple days, they display on the week and month view, and "day" view, but NOT on agenda view?! for example, if i create an entry of "trade show" starting feb 1st, ending feb 10th, i see it in outlook, but when its sync'd it only shows on day week or month not agenda. i have tried.1/ a few battery out resets 2/ updating to latest blackberry core apps 3/ completely clearing calendar database, and re-syncing fresh 4/ creating the appointments *On* the blackberry instead. There doesnt appear to be any patches or fixes for this? i have had blackberries before (the previous bold, etc) which were all runing os 4.x and it was never an issue! would be great if anyone has found a solution for this.

BB Bold 9700 :: Why Do Emails Show Up Twice?
Jul 2, 2010I have been trying to figure this one out for a while. I have two email accounts link to my berry. Both are AOL email accounts. The problem is that when I try o send an email and select from which one to send it from I now have four choice, they are doubling up. For example for email one it shows up as xxxx@aol.com and then xxxx@AOL.com. The same thing happens for my calendars. Each account shows up twice, so in essence it splits them up and I have 4 separate calendars. What can I do to get rid of the extra accounts that show up and correctly show only the two emails(and associated calendars)on my berry.I am at a lost with this one.PS. Went to the blackberry BIS website to make sure I did not type each email in twice when I registered them and it correctly only shows the two emails that are registered.

Aug 12, 2011I am connected to my html email account.I is on an Exchange server. In outlook there is a folder called Unread Mail. I have a lot of rules that filter my mail into folders so I use Unread Mail a lot in outlook. I would prefer if my BlackBerry also looked at this folder to show my emails, this way I would get all of those that were filtered and not just the ones in the inbox. Is there a way for me to do this? I am running version 6.0 bundle 2426 of the BlackBerry software on my phone.

May 8, 2011Blackberry bold 9650, OS 6 bundle 1741 (verizon)issue: I have set up gmail (in addition to my corporate BIS administrater account). when an gmail comes, in the 'gmail icon' shows as if there is an new email, when opening this icon, it doesn't show any email (in the top it shows 'All Mail' folder), but if I go to the main mail icon (desktop mail icon), then I can see my corporate emails AND gmails.Any idea why this behaves this way? I may have played around the gmail plug-in and might try to remove it sometime back. I tried to add it again it says my phone is not compatible.for what is worth, this device was in 5.0 before, I upgraded to OS 6 few months back, since then I have this issue (the plugin was working great in the previous version).

Jan 14, 2012I am the proud owner of a Bold 9780, and I can't seem to view received multimedia messages, such as pictures. There is this "download now" button, but nothing happens when I click... Also, I can't send pictures. There's a red X on the left of the message I tried to send. The data services are turned on in my settings, and my plan includes picture messaging (but it doesn't include any other data).

They also appear in the BB Messenger conversations view but if I restart the handset they disappear from there and only appear in the SMS view.
I have attached an image of a "collapsed" SMS message. Look carefully at the blue horizontal line directly above Mon 18 Jan 2010. If I click on this, the conversation expands.Any thoughts on how I can prevent this from happening and have all SMS conversations visible. Ideally I would like to keep SMS and BB Messenger chats separate but am struggling to do this even after removing the link between the BB Messenger contact and the contact in my address book.
