I recently added a personal email account (gmail) to my BB which is primarily used for work.
I have amassed 24 unread emails in my gmail account on my home screen, for which I cannot remove. I have:
1. Deleted all the emails in this account
2. Removed the account and recreated it on the BB
3. Removed the battery
Unfortunately, none of the above has removed the alleged unread emails from my home screen.
My BB Tour 9630 is showing 1 message unread. However I can't find the message. Also next to the number 1 is an icon I don't recognize. It looks like two small 0's connected by a line. Does anyone know how to clear?

My iphone is showing in the red badge two unread text messages but I have none. Ive tried turning off/on, exiting out of the app at the bottom on the screen (ya know when you make them wiggle) hard restart, and restoring from my itunes. Nothing is working...

There's this notification icon in my screen and it looks something like this image I uploaded (that'll be the one right next to the unread message envelope icon). Can someone tell me what that is and how I could retrieve (and eventually get rid of) it?

At first it was just one sms and the number has gone up to 4 unread sms messages and i have looked and searched everywhere, deleted, did numerous battery pulls, even leaving the battery out for an extended amount of time, tried changing the theme etc etc. Is there any way to fix this?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI occasionally get error messages on my home screen, it it usually for bbm, and then none of my messaging works, but just recently had one for app phone I think the error number was 126.
Once the error message appears I have to take the battery out as the phone freezes up, how do I fix this? Have checked for software updates for the apps and the device and nothing is available.
I can't find these unread messages or emails. They are not on SAVED messages. I looked through every folder and can't find these unread messages.

I just got a new bb today and when all my data got transferred over, my new one is now saying that I have 3 unread messages. I've deleted all old messages, emails and voicemails. I also removed my email account from my phone and it is still there. I'm not sure what else to check or how to get rid of it.

View 9 Replies View Relatedmy phone is approx 2 years old and a few months ago developed a glitch in that it shows the number of the text messages I have, and the number is increasing despite the fact that I have deleted all texts from the phone. I noticed that when I switch the phone on after a period off, it adds new messages and shows them as "new" (with that sparkly sign at the corner of it). I wonder whether there is a way of deleting this misleading icon from the home-screen?

Instead it brings me to a random part of the conversation(although it is usually the same part over and over). This is very small, but very annoying indeed.
