Havin some trouble this morning, did as battery pull this morning and when the phone rebooted, I see 27 unread txt msg in the home screen, but when I go to my inbox there is nothing there, any one have any idea what's going on here, tried a battery pull again and still nothing.
View 10 RepliesThe "unread BBM message notification" icon at the top of the screen tells me I have new messages - but my inbox is empty. This has been happening for the past week and roughly everyday I get a new phantom message. I am now up to 9 new messages but I have no idea where they are.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSuddenly today after deleting a handful of messages out of one mailbox it suddenly says that mailbox has 4294967295 messages. There is nothing in the mailbox. If I send mail to it, the count changes to 1 until I delete that message then it goes back to 4294967295. I have deleted the account and recreated it but that didn't fix it.

I recently added a personal email account (gmail) to my BB which is primarily used for work.
I have amassed 24 unread emails in my gmail account on my home screen, for which I cannot remove. I have:
1. Deleted all the emails in this account
2. Removed the account and recreated it on the BB
3. Removed the battery
Unfortunately, none of the above has removed the alleged unread emails from my home screen.
My home screen shows the unread email icon. However, my email does not have any unread messages. Why didn't it remove the icon from my home screen?

So I dnt know why its showing I have a new message when there's nothing there. I scrolled through all my messages! I tried doing a battery pull and that didn't work either !! Any suggestions?

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I set up my gmail account via the BIS or whatever plug-in, and all seems to be working ok. The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe problem I am having is that when I receive an email, I will open it, read it if need be and either leave it as is or go back to the home screen. A few seconds later the email indicator shows back up as a new message, like if I havent read the message. If I retort back to opening it again, a few secs later, the indicator pops back up. So in order to get rid of the problem all together, I have to simply delete the message which takes care of the problem.
Is there a way I can get rid of this problem without always having to delete my messages? I have tried deleting my email account and adding it back, but the problem in fact remains. I have gone thru the options menu to email setting and changed some things in there just to see if that would fix it. But nope, the problem still remains. Can someone please tell me what the problem could be and how this can finally go away? thanks in advance.
This should be easy but has me baffled. To get to Shazam I have to go to app world and then to my world. I want to have it on my home screen but I can't figure out how to move it. Thanks in advance.

However, the phone is still working (push on the green button and the phone screen pops up), same with the long press on blackberry key.
I did search to do a reset of my handset but I can't find a way to do it knowing that I can't access the menus.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

Basically I can't get to the home screen, I have a password on my phone, soon as I try to unlock it the phone locks up.
I've done a battery pull and removing the SD card and the SIM but no joy.
But if I use the phone to make calls its fine.
Its really weird to say the least.
It could be the password causing it, is there anyway for me to disable the password outside of the phone itself? Such as using desktop manager? Or should I just bite the bullet and update the firmware?
Is there an option to change the amount of icons that appear on your home screen on the BB Bold? I have one row of six icons on the home screen, and would like to add another row of favorite icons to my home screen.

Recently got a blackberry bold 9700 as a gift. Noticed that a very tiny icon comes up near the upper left corner of the screen. Looks like a box or briefcase with a red circle on the top right corner of the icon, either with a white star or arrow in it. Its too small to say for sure. Can't find any answers in the manuals or online.

After the inital setup of MFE, she noticed that her inbox was empty, I tried reinstalling the mailbox, restarted the E72, it didn't work. I then tried putting her sim in my own E72, setting up the mailbox, using her settings, then my inbox got deleted and left empty. I swapped SIM again, and was slightly going into panic as my inbox was still empty after I applied my MFE settings, a reboot however, fixed it. Then I tried deleting/moving what was in her inbox on the PC, still no success. I then tried putting the sim in a old E61 and this time it registrered a test email. So the inbox seems to work on the E61 and not the E72 for some strange reason.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning and in the inbox for the default sms / mms / messaging app only had draft messages I hadn't sent in it. My contacts seem fine but I can't find the messages anywhere. If I send a contact a text the old texts do not appear either.
