Does anyone know how (or if you can) get SMS text msgs to display under "Messages" on the home screen? I just upgraded from the Curve to the Storm2 and I am used to being able to see a portion of the unread SMS msg on my home screen..

Is there a way to deactivate the enter key on storm2? I end up sending text and blackberry messenger msgs before I am ready because I accidentally hit the return key...
View 8 Replies View RelatedEverything is superb however 1 thing is annoying me and i cant seem to sort it, ive had a look round the forum and cant see this elsewhere.
When viewing "Messages" im getting Emails but its also displaying BBM messages too, the help files say check Filters but i dont even have that as an option when clicking Menu > Options. I just want Emails displayed in messages nothing else, SMS and MMS is together in another view, which is fine.
Just wondering if anyone knows of an app that can block text messages? I know you can block calls but are texts included in that.

I was texting back/forth with a friend the other day and it was taking about 20 mins or so to get a reply.I noticed my 'delivery report' was between 5-10 mins to get the D for delivered.I started sending the times I was sending the messages and ask when they were received, which they were received right away however I would get the reply about 15 minutes later.Is there a known issue with text delay?

I just got the bb storm 2 from verizon and I don't want all 8 of these apps on my home screen.all i want is messages, email, bbm and media.how do i get rid of the other icons on my home screen?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI just updated my 9550's OS to the leaked .428 and the transition was fine besides one issue. The e-mail icon is stuck on my screen. I've read a few threads with this issue and tried every fix they had, nothing has worked. I think I've found the cause of the issue, but don't have a resolution. When I loaded the OS, I had two new Facebook messages. When the OS loaded, the OS recognized them as e-mails until I activated the Facebook app. When it loaded, the Facebook icon popped up on the homescreen, but the e-mail icon didn't disappear.
Some steps I've taken to try to resolve the issue:
1) Check all message locations, including SMS, MMS, BBM, e-mails, etc. There are no new messages anywhere.
2) Deleted both e-mail accounts from my phone, didn't take it away.
3) Backed up my data and wiped/restored.
4) Deleted Facebook as an app, then backed up the data and wiped/restored. Even without Facebook as an app the e-mail icon is still there.
5) Went to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, Register Now.
6) Went to Options, Advanced, Service Book, deleted my e-mail from there.
I loaded .428 on my S2 yesterday. In the past with .320 I have always renamed the Setup folder to Tools. Either one cant with .428 or I cant find a way to do it. With .320 you just highlight the folder you wish to rename, hit menu and choose rename. Not so with .428

2. does this also mean i still need something else to give my laptop internet while out on the road
3. is there something out right now that will allow storm 2 to act as a hotspot for my laptop or other devices
I just got a replacement Storm 2 dated Mar 6, 2010. My old Storm worked pretty well but sometimes the bottom row buttons would stick, especially when using the Seidio extended battery with the plastic battery cover. I have a week or so to try both out before sending back the old one.
The new screen feels more... buttery. Its smooth. Buttery smooth. The old screen is clickier. The bottom row buttons on the new screen are a little sloppy compared to when you press the middle of the screen. Does anyone else notice this? I don't like that.But so far the new screen hasn't locked up on the bottom row as much, especially when trying to use it while the Storm is lying on a table.
For typing, the old screen seems just a bit faster, maybe just a bit less pressure required. New screen is a bit harder to type on but smoother.The old screen has a warmer white color than the old, but that is OK the old was fairly "blue".I don't know for sure yet which I like better! But will update here as I find more. If new screen prevents "hard button" syndrome than that's probably enough.
The video is from a Storm, am I correct? Then why did the Crackberry editor ask if it was going to be available for the Storm?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have BB mail, POP3 mail, SMS. None of them have unread messages. There are no missed calls. I went into each message service, clicked on the very top and told it to mark all messages read, on the chance that somewhere in there is a oddly dated message. I did a battery pull. This happened after I updated to the latest OS this morning.
Facebook is caught up. No notifications showing for it. I sent myself a message and then read and deleted it (yup, I am reading the forums looking for this problem). The icon is a gold envelope with a red asterisk in its top right, under the battery indicator. It has a 2 to the left of it.
When I push the "Messages" icon on my Storm 2 to view email and voice mail, there are 2 voice mails that are always there - I delete them every day but they return for some reason. I go to Visual Voice mail and they are not there - only under the "Messages" icon.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have separate folders set up for my e-mail and my SMS messages. All my SMS messages are going to the SMS folder just fine, and in fact, not going to the messages folder. But my e-mails for some reason are going straight to the messages folder and not to my e-mail at all. I would much rather have them go to my e-mail folder.

I have searched for unread SMS's and deleted all SMS's from my inbox and it still shows that I have 9 unread SMSs. Oh and Gmail plug is DL'd and also I do have Wireless Reconcole set that it will delete on both sides.
With the original Storm, I could separate my emails from my PIN and SMS messages. I just switched to the Storm2 and can't figure out how to do it with this operating system (5.0.0.320).

I think the email inbox would be so much more organized if email convos were threaded.

Is there any way to edit what comes up? When I type "You" I get "Ypu" or "Tou". When I type "sorry" I get "apert". Any way to edit what comes up when you type words that are this common?
