I have separate folders set up for my e-mail and my SMS messages. All my SMS messages are going to the SMS folder just fine, and in fact, not going to the messages folder. But my e-mails for some reason are going straight to the messages folder and not to my e-mail at all. I would much rather have them go to my e-mail folder.
View 8 RepliesI just sent an e-mail to myself from my blackberry and chose to send from my gmail account, but instead it just decided it might be better to send it from my work e-mail address? How do I fix this? It's absolutely unacceptable and I really hate to know who else now has my work e-mail address because of this. My phone tells me it sent from the correct e-mail address, but the address showing up in the e-mail where I received it says my work e-mail address was the sender.
If it was mixing up my gmail accounts that'd be irritating, but not a big deal - but the fact that it's just sending out of my work e-mail is a serious problem - does anyone know how to fix this?
How can the storm2 be setup to access internet and push mail via 3G?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI finally got my e-mail accounts put onto my BB storm! Problem now is that it currently dispays that I have 182 unread e-mails in the upper left hand corner and the currect number should be zero. When I restored my accounts (including my bb email, yahoo, and gmail) I decided to delete two (yahoo, gmail) and delete all the messages off of the BB email but still keep the account. I added only one other account that links to my University e-mail adress but besides those two there are no more e-mail addresses on the phone. Both of those mailboxes are empty so I'm guessing the 182 was possibly a combination number of the yahoo and gmail accounts I deleted from the handheld. Any ideas on how I can clear out that number?

When viewing "Messages" im getting Emails but its also displaying BBM messages too, the help files say check Filters but i dont even have that as an option when clicking Menu > Options. I just want Emails displayed in messages nothing else, SMS and MMS is together in another view, which is fine.
i have seen a lot of demo's and topics about e-mail setup, but i just can not setup my e-mail because in my settings it only shows the option to setup an e-mail through the enterprise code.how is it possible that my option to add an e-mail account is lost?does anyone know how i can get that option? or to set up my e-mail otherwise.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just updated my 9550's OS to the leaked .428 and the transition was fine besides one issue. The e-mail icon is stuck on my screen. I've read a few threads with this issue and tried every fix they had, nothing has worked. I think I've found the cause of the issue, but don't have a resolution. When I loaded the OS, I had two new Facebook messages. When the OS loaded, the OS recognized them as e-mails until I activated the Facebook app. When it loaded, the Facebook icon popped up on the homescreen, but the e-mail icon didn't disappear.
Some steps I've taken to try to resolve the issue:
1) Check all message locations, including SMS, MMS, BBM, e-mails, etc. There are no new messages anywhere.
2) Deleted both e-mail accounts from my phone, didn't take it away.
3) Backed up my data and wiped/restored.
4) Deleted Facebook as an app, then backed up the data and wiped/restored. Even without Facebook as an app the e-mail icon is still there.
5) Went to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, Register Now.
6) Went to Options, Advanced, Service Book, deleted my e-mail from there.
So I noticed on someones Curve 8330 that they had a different icon for their Yahoo (and AOL) email account and I was wondering why I don't have that for my Yahoo account on my Storm. I just have the default envelope icon, is there anyway for me to get the "Purple Y" icon on my Storm? Or is there anyway to customize the email icons on my Storm?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a little red circle with a line going through it on my screen in between the Voice Mail icon and the Visual Voice icon, just below the time and date (center top of screen). I am using the default Zen theme figuring maybe it was a 3rd party theme but isn't not from pone. Its probably a no brainer but I guess I don't have one!
View 8 Replies View Relatedthe proximity sensor works fine when I am on a phone call, (ie: my face does not push any buttons), but when I am listening to a Visual Voice Mail, I am constantly stopping the playback of the message when the screen touches my face. Seems like the screen lock out feature does not work at all in VVM (but works fine while on a call).
This did not happen before the upgrade to .607.
I have BB mail, POP3 mail, SMS. None of them have unread messages. There are no missed calls. I went into each message service, clicked on the very top and told it to mark all messages read, on the chance that somewhere in there is a oddly dated message. I did a battery pull. This happened after I updated to the latest OS this morning.
Facebook is caught up. No notifications showing for it. I sent myself a message and then read and deleted it (yup, I am reading the forums looking for this problem). The icon is a gold envelope with a red asterisk in its top right, under the battery indicator. It has a 2 to the left of it.
When I push the "Messages" icon on my Storm 2 to view email and voice mail, there are 2 voice mails that are always there - I delete them every day but they return for some reason. I go to Visual Voice mail and they are not there - only under the "Messages" icon.

I have searched for unread SMS's and deleted all SMS's from my inbox and it still shows that I have 9 unread SMSs. Any idea how to get rid of the icon at the top of the screen showing that I have unread SMSs?

Oh and Gmail plug is DL'd and also I do have Wireless Reconcole set that it will delete on both sides.
With the original Storm, I could separate my emails from my PIN and SMS messages. I just switched to the Storm2 and can't figure out how to do it with this operating system (5.0.0.320).

I was texting back/forth with a friend the other day and it was taking about 20 mins or so to get a reply.I noticed my 'delivery report' was between 5-10 mins to get the D for delivered.I started sending the times I was sending the messages and ask when they were received, which they were received right away however I would get the reply about 15 minutes later.Is there a known issue with text delay?

Anyone know if rim is even thinking about giving the messages app threaded email? They did it for sms on storm 5.0 ... So why not for email too, right?
I think the email inbox would be so much more organized if email convos were threaded.
Guess it could be more complicated than sms, but it could definitely be done.

In my messages list I always see the Names/Numbers of those who have left voicemails EVEN AFTER I delete the original VM in Visual VM. Not only that - when I delete it out of the (email) messages list....they come right back!
How come multiple emails in a chain (same subject between multiple people) are combined in my email folder (like gmail), but they aren't in the messages folder?
I looked in Options under my Messages folder but couldn't find anything that would do this. Is it possible?
I'm trying to make space for more icons in my top two lines so I would like to use just my Messages folder, but I hate how you can see EVERY email in a chain. Some between my friends and I have 30+ emails.

1.What i am still unsure of is which phone is better suited to Canadian phone companies neither will get 3g coverage but will one work better than the other like will they both get 2.5g coverage?
2. Also i have read that possibly the 9520 will be comin to rogers but i havnt heard anything recent on it does anyone have news on a release date or anything?
3. Right now i am thinkin of buyin the storm 9550 from telus and either goin with fido or terminate my contract with them and stay with telus or move to rogers. Is there a company that is better suited to the storm 2 or will either giv me 2.5g?
Does anyone know how (or if you can) get SMS text msgs to display under "Messages" on the home screen? I just upgraded from the Curve to the Storm2 and I am used to being able to see a portion of the unread SMS msg on my home screen..
View 7 Replies View RelatedHi, wasn't sure if this was the best forum to post this issue in or not. I have yahool email through BIS on my Storm 2. Recently, my blackberry fails to sync with messages deleted in my yahoo inbox. I have to go on the device and delete the email a second time. Has anyone else had this issue or can you offer any advice to fix the issue?
I have tried waiting an hour or more to see if the blackberry will reconcile and remove the messages. Also, I go into my email and select reconcile now. These things did not work. I have not changed any of my email sync settings from when the blackberry was syncing fully. They are still set to inbox wins. Also, I even tried resending service books and deleting/reinstalling the yahoo email. None of these have worked so far!
