I have a little red circle with a line going through it on my screen in between the Voice Mail icon and the Visual Voice icon, just below the time and date (center top of screen). I am using the default Zen theme figuring maybe it was a 3rd party theme but isn't not from pone. Its probably a no brainer but I guess I don't have one!

View 8 Replies View Relatedthe proximity sensor works fine when I am on a phone call, (ie: my face does not push any buttons), but when I am listening to a Visual Voice Mail, I am constantly stopping the playback of the message when the screen touches my face. Seems like the screen lock out feature does not work at all in VVM (but works fine while on a call).
This did not happen before the upgrade to .607.
I just updated my 9550's OS to the leaked .428 and the transition was fine besides one issue. The e-mail icon is stuck on my screen. I've read a few threads with this issue and tried every fix they had, nothing has worked. I think I've found the cause of the issue, but don't have a resolution. When I loaded the OS, I had two new Facebook messages. When the OS loaded, the OS recognized them as e-mails until I activated the Facebook app. When it loaded, the Facebook icon popped up on the homescreen, but the e-mail icon didn't disappear.
Some steps I've taken to try to resolve the issue:
1) Check all message locations, including SMS, MMS, BBM, e-mails, etc. There are no new messages anywhere.
2) Deleted both e-mail accounts from my phone, didn't take it away.
3) Backed up my data and wiped/restored.
4) Deleted Facebook as an app, then backed up the data and wiped/restored. Even without Facebook as an app the e-mail icon is still there.
5) Went to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, Register Now.
6) Went to Options, Advanced, Service Book, deleted my e-mail from there.
So I noticed on someones Curve 8330 that they had a different icon for their Yahoo (and AOL) email account and I was wondering why I don't have that for my Yahoo account on my Storm. I just have the default envelope icon, is there anyway for me to get the "Purple Y" icon on my Storm? Or is there anyway to customize the email icons on my Storm?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just sent an e-mail to myself from my blackberry and chose to send from my gmail account, but instead it just decided it might be better to send it from my work e-mail address? How do I fix this? It's absolutely unacceptable and I really hate to know who else now has my work e-mail address because of this. My phone tells me it sent from the correct e-mail address, but the address showing up in the e-mail where I received it says my work e-mail address was the sender.
If it was mixing up my gmail accounts that'd be irritating, but not a big deal - but the fact that it's just sending out of my work e-mail is a serious problem - does anyone know how to fix this?
When I push the "Messages" icon on my Storm 2 to view email and voice mail, there are 2 voice mails that are always there - I delete them every day but they return for some reason. I go to Visual Voice mail and they are not there - only under the "Messages" icon.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else faced problems with this?I was minute taking in a meeting last week and thought i'd utilise my Berry to record notes for back up reference.so I thought.anyway it turns out that whenever i start the recorder, it would record for as long as the backlight was on! so about 2min..very annoyed When I eventually realised what was gong on, it took around 2 attempts to finally get the phone to start recording for longer but now its left me with little confidence. anyone? or do I just put it down as one of the weird and wonderful things of a BlackBerry that just requires a battery pull.

View 11 Replies View RelatedNoticed that anything using the wireless data was going really slow and then it just stopped any transmission. Took it off the wifi to see if there was any difference, same thing... and then a popup appeared that said DNS and a button ok... the screen locked up so I couldn't click anywhere on the screen, so I did a battery pull.
Now after the battery pull it gets to the blackberry loading screen. It loads to approx. 20%, then theres a white screen with text in a very small font and a button reset in the middle. This appears in less then a second, and the screen is locked so i can't press reset. It now does this a continuous cycle.
I recently had an error code, 5xx. can't remember now and Storm2 wouldn't start. Connected to DM, pulled cable in & out and was able to reload OS. Already had .607 before. Since then, 2 things are really annoying:
1. DM constantly wants to upgrade / reload to .607 during sync, but I already have it.
2. I cannot find/remember how I removed the "Accept or Decline" options to confirm sync changes. I just want it to do it without asking.
How can the storm2 be setup to access internet and push mail via 3G?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have separate folders set up for my e-mail and my SMS messages. All my SMS messages are going to the SMS folder just fine, and in fact, not going to the messages folder. But my e-mails for some reason are going straight to the messages folder and not to my e-mail at all. I would much rather have them go to my e-mail folder.

In both cases it's rare for the voice dialing to recognize the name or numbers I'm saying, even in a quietly running car with the windows closed and no music. Sometimes the guesses are completely off, like when I say "604" for the area code and it asks if I said "644".I've read on this board about training the devie to my voice but I can't see how to do that.As an aside, I hate the voice with the british accent that reads back the name or number - any way to change it to a North American accent?I'm running a 9550 with 5.0.0.320.

I have a strange issue with voice dialing on my 9550. When I use my Rocketfish bluetooth headset it works fabulously, almost always gets the correct name, but when I use the handset it's almost always wrong.This has been the case since day 1 on my S2 regardless of the OS I've been on and I've tried all the officials and several hybrids. I'm now on the official 713.

View 4 Replies View Related'm having a weird issue happening in our Blackberry environment. Several of our users are reporting that when they leave for the day, their email do not populate until they return to the office the next morning. What I've gathered so far is, it seems like the device doesn't know when to switch back to 3G when the Wi-Fi connection we have here at work drops. In other words, the phone stops sending/receiving email because it no longer has a Wi-Fi connection but it never switches back to 3G. If I turn off the Wi-Fi on the problematic devices, they never have any of the problems mentioned above - but the uppers do not like that solution.
I finally got my e-mail accounts put onto my BB storm! Problem now is that it currently dispays that I have 182 unread e-mails in the upper left hand corner and the currect number should be zero. When I restored my accounts (including my bb email, yahoo, and gmail) I decided to delete two (yahoo, gmail) and delete all the messages off of the BB email but still keep the account. I added only one other account that links to my University e-mail adress but besides those two there are no more e-mail addresses on the phone. Both of those mailboxes are empty so I'm guessing the 182 was possibly a combination number of the yahoo and gmail accounts I deleted from the handheld. Any ideas on how I can clear out that number?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOk i have 2 storm 2s, on one the AOL Icon still shows up... *even after a battery pull* on the other my AOL icon has just turned into the standard email icon folder, black and white with the Globe underneath.... anyone know how to get the AOL Icon back on the phone? And what would cause it to fall off of one phone but stay on the other phone?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a replacement Storm 2 dated Mar 6, 2010. My old Storm worked pretty well but sometimes the bottom row buttons would stick, especially when using the Seidio extended battery with the plastic battery cover. I have a week or so to try both out before sending back the old one.
The new screen feels more... buttery. Its smooth. Buttery smooth. The old screen is clickier. The bottom row buttons on the new screen are a little sloppy compared to when you press the middle of the screen. Does anyone else notice this? I don't like that.But so far the new screen hasn't locked up on the bottom row as much, especially when trying to use it while the Storm is lying on a table.
For typing, the old screen seems just a bit faster, maybe just a bit less pressure required. New screen is a bit harder to type on but smoother.The old screen has a warmer white color than the old, but that is OK the old was fairly "blue".I don't know for sure yet which I like better! But will update here as I find more. If new screen prevents "hard button" syndrome than that's probably enough.
i have seen a lot of demo's and topics about e-mail setup, but i just can not setup my e-mail because in my settings it only shows the option to setup an e-mail through the enterprise code.how is it possible that my option to add an e-mail account is lost?does anyone know how i can get that option? or to set up my e-mail otherwise.

However, I still get no icon for the account.I read a similar post, and it was suggested to log on to the bis (?) server.I can still receive emails using the account, but cannot send without a way to get into it.I am on Vzw, and have never logged on to anything there or at BB that has to do with bis .
