On my old bb, it always said that I had 3 unread messages, but I searched everywhere and couldn't find them. I just got a new bb today and when all my data got transferred over, my new one is now saying that I have 3 unread messages. I've deleted all old messages, emails and voicemails. I also removed my email account from my phone and it is still there. I'm not sure what else to check or how to get rid of it.
The facebook icon is permanently on my screen telling me I have 2 unread messages, but I haven't? How can I get rid of them? I have de-installed and re-installed FB but no joy!
I have a few email addresses integrated with Blackberry OS 5.0.0.459 on the Curve 8530.
I set the inbox settings so that some of the email addresses do not show in the Messages inbox, however, they still show a small icon notification at the top tray when there are unread messages there.
How can I customize the unread messages notification tray icon so that it doesn't show unread emails from certain email accounts?
I upgraded my iPhone 4s to iOS8. The Mail icon now shows 7176 unread messages. It showed none before the upgrade. How can I reset the indicator so that it shows only recent new messages?
My iphone is showing in the red badge two unread text messages but I have none. Ive tried turning off/on, exiting out of the app at the bottom on the screen (ya know when you make them wiggle) hard restart, and restoring from my itunes. Nothing is working...
On my home screen I have a BBM icon with the number 2 beside it indicating that I have two new BBM messages. When I go in to the BBM application, there is Nothing new; no invites, messages, or group chats. I recently deleted someone and put them on the ignore list so is this them trying to communicate with me? I took them off the ignore list but the icon still remains new on my home screen. It's really starting to bother me and I can't get rid of it. I've restarted my phone by turning it off as well as a battery pull.
I`ve registerd on my bb account my work e-mail based on exchange 2010. using pop3 settings. Now when I`m receiving email on my computer after short time this message is forwarded to my BB and marked as read. Even if i`m not reading it.How to set up email that after forwarding message it will be still marked as unread.
The "unread BBM message notification" icon at the top of the screen tells me I have new messages - but my inbox is empty. This has been happening for the past week and roughly everyday I get a new phantom message. I am now up to 9 new messages but I have no idea where they are.
For a week now, my torch has the icon in the upper bar that improperly shows how many unread msgs I have. I have read all my messages and it always shows me one unread.I realize it's not a serious issue, but could somebody offer advice on how to fix this? Seems like the OS hiccuped somewhere. Batt pull does not help. Otherwise the phone works perfectly
Randomly, my bold restarted by itself (hasn't done this once since I upgraded the OS 3 months ago). Ever since it restarted, it's had the unread message icon saying I have 4 unread messages. I went to every folder and marked all prior unopened and checked to makesure nothing was unread. The icon wouldn't go away, it even stayed with the read star. Overnight, I got 6 new emails, so it told me I had 10 unread messages. I deleted the 6 new ones, and the icon is still there with the read star saying I have 10 unread now
Any ideas? I pulled the battery already twice and nothing
I have an unread message icon with a little red circle on my screen. Tried pulling the battery. Have checked all my messages and folders. There are no unread messages. Even updated my Blackberry Desktop.
i went into my text messages- and highlighted them all i accidently clicked mark unopened. then pressed delete (as originally intended) now i have icon saying i have 47 unread sms msgs but of course everything is gone so i cant bloody get rid of anything!
I use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen. Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
I have an errant "unopened" mail icon, It was on my old BlackBerry (an 8830) and when I got my new BlackBerry 9650, all was good, until I completed my enterprise synchronization, and guess what came back? now heres the rub, it shows (and as it did before) That it is a "Optimum on Line" email, not the email that is pushed by my enterprise server. So neither tech support will own the problem.
Since I did the new update, it's just displaying the badge icon circle (bubble) on the app, but no unread count. With e-mail and facebook I noticed it so far.
When I restart my phone it works, but then anything new after I delete those messages, it just goes back to no display count and a white bubble.
There's this notification icon in my screen and it looks something like this image I uploaded (that'll be the one right next to the unread message envelope icon). Can someone tell me what that is and how I could retrieve (and eventually get rid of) it?
At the top of my screen the unread message icon always displays more messages than exist. Currently, it says I have 1 unread SMS message. When I receive an SMS it will go up to 2. This will happen and it will say 20 bbms or 3 emails
So, was using TEXTRA with no issues and then the problem, The icon showed that there was ONE unread message. I deleted the app, reinstalled, same issue. So, now I look for an app that can show the correct number of unread messages on the icon.
Does anyone know a SHORTCUT to view all unread messages for the Blackberry bold? I found out on google that you can do this but with older Blackberrys.
I have searched around and found many problems faced regarding the email icon showing unread emails but in actual fact there are none. My problem however is the opposite of that - there are unread emails but it is not indicating as such.
This is specifically for Gmail as all my other email accounts are showing unread emails just fine. It is a minor issue but it does get on my nerves trying to figure this out.
Recent activities include upgrading OS to OS5 and changing telco, doubt if these are the cause of it. I have tried deleting and creating the email account and battery pull to no avail.
Just upgraded from 8330 to 8530. I am not a moron with these phones, but I can not get an unread email notification to disappear. I have no new messages, I have done repeated battery pulls, I have changed themes, I have gone through all my email accounts. I havd searched through this board, and don't see any other ideas that might solve this issue. At this point the little #1 at the top of my screen is my arch nemesis. Anyone have any other ideas?
At the top of my screen the unread message icon always displays more messages than exist. Currently, it says I have 1 unread SMS message. When I receive an SMS it will go up to 2. This will happen and it will say 20 bbms or 3 emails but I have yet to find a solution.
Why does the gmail app icon always show 99+ and the email icon always shows 30 emails even after I clean up my mailboxes and know for sure that I have 0 unread emails? Is there a fix for this? When I was on ios as soon as I had all emails read the counts from the app icons used to disappear.
Every since I installed .607 for my Storm2, I have unread SMS's. I have searched for unread SMS's and deleted all SMS's from my inbox and it still shows that I have 9 unread SMSs. Any idea how to get rid of the icon at the top of the screen showing that I have unread SMSs?
I deleted a few messages before I read them, and it now it says I have 4 unread messages, yet my messages are cleared. I tried restarting, reconciling, taking the battery out,Since I deleted the messages, I cannot go back and click on it to mark it has "read" and therefore take the notifications away.
