Need a clock that shows seconds or even second hand to sync items at work.
Spent some time in the past researching this but nothing for free found. Suprised only options are applications to buy. Does anyone else find that so basic that it should be included or free or is it just me?
I have tried several different OS versions - including the current 5.0.0.442, and several previous versions, and I cannot set "show free time" and "show end time" to "no". I have also tried this across different devices since TMO just warranty swapped my old one and it is still happening on the new one. When I change it to "no" it won't save - I can click "save" and nothing happens, I can't exit the screen until I click "discard". Ideas? This makes me nuts.

2. My device does not update my time zone. I use phone in Moscow, Russia. In settings there is not Moscow time zone.I tried any attempt with time's zone updating, but it is not successfully.It gets me mnay troubles with using BB9700..
I have inherited an 8110 which so far I am very happy with. apart from one small thing. The clock doesn't show the correct time. It does not update minute by minute as a 'normal' timepiece would. If I go into the settings for alarm or date/time then exit the clock is updated. but it will not update again until I do this again.This morning when I woke up for work it was showing 10.50pm last night.

Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.

Calendar takes ~5 seconds to load. Upon loading, another ~5 seconds till it will respond to any activity. I have it default to Agenda view, as I always have. Prior to v5.0.0.607 this was NEVER an issue.
Work-around:
If I turn "show free time" to ON, then it works perfect. Loads instantly, scrolls instantly, etc. However, turned OFF, it reverts to issue above.Problem is that I really don't want to show the free time on my view. Whom else has this issue, anyone? Does anyone know how to resolve this?
I love the bedside mode of the Storm 2, especially with the dock I recently purchased. The only problem is, I like the room dark as possible and even with the phone in bedside mode when charging, and the setting check to dim the clock, it's still far to bright.
Is there a way of having clock on, but have the screen go off with the usual setting to black the screen after say 30 seconds or whatever I choose for the backlighting time out, then have the screen come on if I reach over and touch the screen to display the clock, then letting the backlighting go off again after the preset time?
This would make the setup perfect for me, allowing me to use the Storm 2 as a bedside clock without having to have the display on all the time, but being able to turn it on for a short period of time as needed. If this is possible, can somebody post the settings needed

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded my Bold 9000 software device software from v4.6 to v5. Everything work excellent EXCEPT from the Clock-Alarm Sound !!. When my hand-held is Activated, it works according to my relative settings. The problem is when I've set a Clock-Alarm time and turned my handhold OFF. When the time comes, the handheld wakes-up (as it should normally do), displays the dialog form regarding the snooze or the alarm termination but there's NO SOUND AT ALL !!. I've searched the community for regarding problems and I've tried to apply to my handheld every potential suggestion like: 1). usage of a build-in simple sound 2). a sound file stored on my handheld's device memory and not onto an external card 3). battery correct physical enforcement 4) and of course, many-many baterry pool outs (for hard reset) !! Unfortunately nothing worked !! Because i use my handheld as my main (only) wake-up alarm in the morning, I tried to make the following test: 1). Selected the "No Sound" profile (I don't want an accidental call to wake me up after midnight..).....

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my AT&T Blackberry Bold 9700 since November of 2009 and am just experiencing this problem. My device is set so the back light goes off after 20 seconds. Whenever I put it down or lock it, the back light goes off just as it should. But, within 5-10 minutes, it turns back on without provocation and won't shut off again until I unlock and re-lock the phone.
As you can imagine, this is killing my battery life. I've tried playing with the settings, but nothing seems to do the trick. I've rebooted several times and removed the battery twice, but neither has worked. Anyone encounter this issue and/or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
On my brother's 9700, he's experienced two random shut downs. He's with Rogers and has the latest OS installed (.743). He would notice that sometimes the phone sort of shuts off by itself. Normally he would keep the phone on standby or lock, but when he'd go to unlock the phone, he'd notice that none of the keys work (screen remains black). Normally the screen would light up and say that the phone is locked, but this doesn't happen. Then, he would hold down the End key for a couple of seconds to power up the phone, only the phone doesn't boot up from scratch. Instead, the Rogers splash screen would appear and it would go directly to his home screen. The phone is only about a week old and is brand new (not refurbished). Is there some sort of lock/standby feature that I'm unaware of that his phone is going into? Has anyone else experienced this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedUsing Bold 9700 Ver # 6.0.0.461 Running updated version of Blackberry Desktop Manager 6.0.1 with Windows 7 and Outlook 2003 with SP3. Use agenda view for calendar, tried the "Show free time in Agenda View" but didn't like it so unclicked it and now, when I open my calendar; the current appts show for a couple of seconds, then it jumps to my last appts in 2014. If I check the free time box again and try to open my calendar it doesn't jump ahead. If I uncheck it again, it jumps ahead again. I've tried turning it off and taking the battery out but doesn't work. The local Telus store never heard of it before.

I only past from 133MB to 131MB so the memory loss won t even be noticed compared to back in the days with the 9000.So my question is do we still need these apps like quick pull etc which i installed to my old 9000.How often should we do a pull every week? View 14 Replies View RelatedI have the device set up for "Bedside Mode" when charging (sits in the OEM dock at night). I left the device "on" and placed in the dock. The keyboard light, screen all dim as they should and the "clock" displays on screen as well. Then after about 20 sec the keyboard buttons all turn on and the screen brightens up. A couple of sec's later they all dim back down. This process repeats itself over and over like the damn thing has a heartbeat or something! I don't recall this doing this the first two nights that I used the new dock/bedside mode.

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9700 keeps on freezing or has a clock spinning around for which I have to remove the battery to fix the problem. don't mention the fact that I might have too many apps installed as I don't and even if I did why should it be a problem? I have almost 20 apps on my iPhone and it never caused a problem wrt freezing or stalling.RIM should really up their game as Samsung and Apple will leave them so far behind in the market that it will be impossible to ever catch up.

I like the auto profile and LED off feature but I would like the screen to go off when I'm charging on the cradle at night. View 14 Replies View RelatedAbout 5% of the time when I send an email, ithe message does not get sent immediately but shows a clock icon where there would be a check mark if it had been sent. I don't find any documentation on what the clock icon is supposed to mean. Any message that exhibits the clock just sits and does not get sent until I manually select "Resend". On my old 8800, occasionally if the service could not be contacted or was busy a message would hang around until the service became available and it would be sent automatically. In the current case, no matter how long I wait (days) it never gets sent automatically.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
I went to a different time zone last month and of course changed my clock on my Curve 8520 to that zone (6 hours ahead of my home zone EST). Of course when I returned I changed back. Since then every time I sync to my computer the zone changes to a different time (7 hours behind my zone). Also now after a sync when I click on the clock icon it shows 2 analog clocks. One large one with the new wrong time and a small one to the left showing the correct time. After I reset the time I get only one large analog clock showing the correct time until I resync again.I have checked and rechecked the settings. I have changed the date/time source setting from 'Blackberry' Network Time to 'Network' Time and this does not make any difference. I've pulled the battery. I've reset the sync maagement options.What a pain having to change the time every time I sync. I've called my service provider (rogers) and they went through the same steps I have already tried.

What profile settings should i use just to get the darn thing to ring for 20 secs - both in and out of its holster? (I have tried the code to extend the time to 30 secs but it does not seem to work with Orange UK).
I just want the phone to ring like a phone without LEDS, vibration etc. At the moment, I need the hearing of a 5 year old and the strength of a 20 year old to get to my phone before it trips over to answerphone.I am on OS593 and I have tried battery pulls etc. I am also using a ringtune rather than Classic Ring.
When I receive SMS it shows the date/time I RECEIVED it but NOT the date/time someone SENT it to me.When I turn my phone on in the morning, or have been out of a signal & the come into range (happens often where I live), I then cannot tell when it was sent.
