View 9 Replies View RelatedI've a bold 9700. I am in Australia with Vodafone Australia bb data plan. I have been experiencing difficulties with the BBM applcation and have to admit I'm both frustrated and dissapointed.
After wiping out my BB for security reasons, I installed a recent copy of BBM application v.57 however I have encountered problems after problems.
I have been trying to add my contacts back but this operation has been unsuccessful (both way. Ie: them inviting me and me inviting them). All the time, I got the same message PENDING (Waiting for authorization) and nothing more (with overseas contacts in India, France, ect...).
With a couple of overseas contacts, they have been added but communication is simply impossible (undelivered messages). I have noticed that all my australian contacts have been added fine and communication works fine but none of the overseas ones work.
I have requested several times from my operator to check the service (which is fine) and send me service books which got delivered fine. I can send email via BB, I can PIN people, I can browse internet but cannot communicate via BBM.
I have tried adding people by PIN and email address but no success either. I have also tried downgrading my bBm to version 4.7 but no better.
I'm extremely frustrated with the situation and would appreciate your help in that matter. Can you please investigate further so I can have full usage of my BB (which is why I got one in the first place)
I have just got a second hand blackberry curve for Christmas and have tried to add people on BBM but it just says pending for authorization, my friends say that no acception request comes up. I have never used or had a blackberry before so I have no idea on what to do, the BBM was already set up by the previous owner. The Wifi work. I am on pay as you go.

We have tried several different options: scanning my pin on his phone through BBM, authorization took forever-was pending two days later scanning his pin on my phone through BBM,authorization took forever - still pending two days later deleted each other's contact using BBM and tried it all again. The pending authorization seems to be stuck and neither one of us receives each others request for authorization.

Tried sending PIN messages but I got a red x next to the message and the status says: "Service Blocked" .When my phone got lost, I was lucky that I just synchronized my device to my BB Desktop. Not only was I able to retrieve my contacts (phonebooks and BBM) but also ALL txt msgs and even call logs Anway, that happening, I assumed I don't need to re-send all my BBM friends invites since some were able to communicate with me. But for those who have deleted my profile (knowing it got lost) and were still on my contact were the ones affected. While I'm trying to add my friends PIN who lives in the same area as I am it's working. However, I have some friends in Thailand when I added their PIN they received my request and they did accepted it but the contact still on pending. I already try it many times it still on pending.
Moreover, during group chat my friends in Thailand can see my messages but I can't see their messages. Is there any possible explaination to this problem?

I have rebooted my phone a lot and I have reinstalled bbm at least twice. How I can sort this out?

It shows them as offline to other people who are on their computers even though someone else can see you typing and receive messages just fine. It only shows the phone icon beside the contacts name.

Fairly often when typing a BBM it will freeze when typing. Then when I go back into the contact to continue, it will not allow me. I then need to pull the battery out and then re-boot.

The text of the message was in blue, and had a link at the end 'www.blackberry.com/inactiveusers' which doesn't exist.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520, firstly. I simply wanted to transfer some pictures to my laptop, and then I see something about an update for the Desktop Manager. There also happened to be the update to version 5. ow silly me, I didn't make a back-up as I didn't know that this update would remove all my info. I assumed it was just the applications (which I can install again) but I realized I've lost all my BB contacts. (Of course I didn't back up that info either.What I want to know is because I've registered before, shouldn't my info still show up in my contacts' lists? Isn't there a way for me to restore my contacts without adding them all over again? And can't they still msg me?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave had my 9700 for a couple of months now and it has been working fine until recently. First problem I had was a failure to send or open MMS. However a battery pull seemed to fix this. The past couple of days I have had problems with my BBM. I can message away fine until suddenly it stops working. Initially the red timer appeared and nothing was sent. Now a tick appears but it takes hours for the message to get delivered. The problem goes away temporarily and I can message fine only to return again.
View 13 Replies View RelatedHere what I done since the begging of the problem: when I first use, everything was ok (at least to me). One day without remembering to disconnect the device from Windows XP Sp2, I disconnected the USB cable to aswer a call (it was in mass storage mode).
After that don't remember exactly how but a few minutes laters after reboot the n900 some widgets disappeared from desktop. So I added them one more time but they won't come to desktop... I repeated many times the adding and after that the N900 gone crazy. Some applications still works but others didn't show the icon program on the menu, only the name under the icon appear, and when i tried to execute one of them the screen returned to desktop with all the widgets that first didn't show and the device reboot alone.
So I decided to flash and I followed every single step (that I found in a thread wrote by adamf) to flash maemo on N900 and I did it. But when I try to erase mass memory, the dots on the N900 screen stopped move and in the DOS windows there was: "suitable USB device not found, waiting". The N900 seems freezed. After 30 minutes I disconnected the USB cable and turned ON the device and it is OK. Well, all data is still there. Do I need to reset mass memory to erase the programs downloaded from the application catalogues? Flashing maemo doesn't do that?
Tried two times but the same thing happens and I quitted. I started to use the device and it works fine but I can't install some applications that first I had installed, like bounce evolution, APP widget, facebook widget (impossible installing error). But forecast weather and other widgets works... I can't understand why. Tried also other flasher like Global (first I have intalled Middle East) but I have the same error...
So according BlackBerry the Bold 9700 supports m4a audio. I have it synced with Mac Desktop Manager and I see the audio files on the media card, but it doesn't show them in the media player. I can only see mp3 files, the m4a files don't show up. So it's scanning the media card for audio, it works for mp3 that are synced the same way the m4a audio is. I'm trying to listen to iTunes podcasts, the m4a versions don't work only mp3.
