A friend and I both have blackberry Storms and use the messenger to communicate as she lives out of state. Recently she has been unable to recieve any messages I send from my end of the line. I recieve all messages that she sends, and my phone shows all my sent messages as being delivered and recieved when she checks for them, however none of these messages actually make it to her phone.
View 4 RepliesFairly often when typing a BBM it will freeze when typing. Then when I go back into the contact to continue, it will not allow me. I then need to pull the battery out and then re-boot.

the fact is that I have differente colors and I just want to have my gmail calendar ! I've check in "option --> options avanced --> services annuaire" and the only CICAL I have is my Gmail.
I've just recieved a message off a couple of contacts via BBM claiming to be a message from RIM saying that the BBM servers are full and if users do not send the message to all of their contacts on BBM then RIM will assume they are inactive users their BlackBerry Internet Service will be deactivated.
The text of the message was in blue, and had a link at the end 'www.blackberry.com/inactiveusers' which doesn't exist.
Surley this is a virus? I have deleted the message and haven't sent it on.Anyone else had this message? Is it a virus or is it genuine?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8520, firstly. I simply wanted to transfer some pictures to my laptop, and then I see something about an update for the Desktop Manager. There also happened to be the update to version 5. ow silly me, I didn't make a back-up as I didn't know that this update would remove all my info. I assumed it was just the applications (which I can install again) but I realized I've lost all my BB contacts. (Of course I didn't back up that info either.What I want to know is because I've registered before, shouldn't my info still show up in my contacts' lists? Isn't there a way for me to restore my contacts without adding them all over again? And can't they still msg me?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave had my 9700 for a couple of months now and it has been working fine until recently. First problem I had was a failure to send or open MMS. However a battery pull seemed to fix this. The past couple of days I have had problems with my BBM. I can message away fine until suddenly it stops working. Initially the red timer appeared and nothing was sent. Now a tick appears but it takes hours for the message to get delivered. The problem goes away temporarily and I can message fine only to return again.

I was searching for this online and all I could find was that the blackberry messenger is a wrapper around BB PIN-to-PIN messaging. PIN messages are supposed are not encrypted from what I could find online - which would mean that BBM messages are not too ..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just updated my Blackberry Tour to the latest OS (v5.0.0.591). I have a huge problem with my sms messages showing up in my Blackberry Messenger. When I sms a contact that is also added to my Blackberry Messenger, the sms messages appear under "Chat." Ok thats fine...BUT when I go to end the chat on the sms conversation, it asks me to delete all messages in chat. SO if I choose yes, I also delete ALL sms messages that I've ever received from that contact. I also noticed that those same contacts that are added to my Blackberry Messenger, when they send me an sms message, it does not show up in the main message list...only the Blackberry Messenger.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have several contacts on my BBM that work fine individually. I have 1 group set up on my BBM (I'm not the administrator). There are 4 members of this group. This group has been set up for a couple months and was working great until last week. Right now the other 3 members can send and receive messages normally. However, I can only receive messages. No one is getting anything I send the BBM group. We have tried several things to remedy this, but nothing has worked. We have deleted and re-added me to the group. We have started a new group (with the same administrator) and I have started a new group with me as the administrator. Still, no one is receiving my messages. Again, I can individually BBM with these same people no problem.

My phone works ok and I can send BB messages, but I can't receive any BB messages from outside Europe. Why would SMS messages sent directly from a BB Curve on the Verizon network to my Storm 2 be delivered to my BB Messenger IM client as a Chat immediately, and then a number of minutes later the same SMS (from Curve) is sent to my SMS client (Storm 2).
I am able to sign into my yahoo messenger and it will typically send and receive messages right away after sign in, but then messenger will stop sending or receiving messages even though I am signed in. How can I fix this or is it a issue with all blackberrys because this has happened on the both of the blackberry curves that I have used. I use messenger with some of my family from Canada and then it uses my data. If I texted them it is international texting and therefore costs per text.

While I hadnt yet installed my contacts, I recieved a text message from someone that was an image of homer simpson that said, "click here to play." Upon clicking on the message it begins with the lyrics "you are so." then in homer simpsons voice it says "gay." I deleted the message immediatley however, after every single one of my notifctaion sounds, it now pays that message. I tried adjusting all of my sound settings and cant get rid of the sound. This is clearly very frustrating and would love to know how to remove this from my phone.

When I click on the contacts name nothing happens, if I try to "open chat" nothing happens. The only way to send a message is to "Broadcast Message". I have no problems with email or SMS.

My Blackberry messenger refuses to send messages or receive updates!! I've had my phone for 7 months and have had no problems with it. I haven't changed my contract plan or anything but all of a sudden both BBM and FB stopped working!!I've removed and re-installed facebook and it still won't work. And I dunno what to do about the BlackBerry messenger!
