IPhone 4s :: Archived Facebook Messenger Messages And Cannot See Them
Jul 1, 2014
I archived my Facebook messages from a particular friend from my iPhone 4S messenger app and when I went to find the archived messages, they were not there. What happened? What can I do?Â
I want my device not to download archived messages. I know how to hide them in the inbox, but they still appear in the "messages" icon. These messages are being filtered in my email so they get archivated when they arrive.
I can send a message to someone but then I have to close the app and re open it to be able to send another message to them. (Ever since I installed 8.1.1)Â
The new app for Facebook messenger for ios does not show users as online when they are on their phones. It shows them as offline to other people who are on their computers even though someone else can see you typing and receive messages just fine. It only shows the phone icon beside the contacts name.
I use facebook messenger as my main texting app on my HTC One. But after I updated to 4.3, I found that I am no longer able to send a group SMS/MMS message through FB messenger. When I try to add a second person to the message, it says I have reached the maximum number of recipients.
Ever since I installed the latest software update for HTC one a few days ago which rectified calling issues, I no longer get notifications for facebook messenger or gmail. In fact Gmail is no longer pushed and requires manual refresh. I've checked the settings for sync, restarted my phone and even uninstalled and re installed.
Messenger doesn't work in Facebook app and can't log in to the Facebook messenger app itself. I keep getting the error of try again something seems to be wrong.
After i update to lollipop 5 some apps doesn't work correctly like facebook messenger when some one call me the phone ring once then go silent even all settings are ok...
I have recently bought a bb Bold 9780, subcribed to BIS on mobily network.i can send and recieve emails and browse internet too.. however cant use the facebook my space twitter or other app on the phone. In network option , Blackberry internet options shows not connected.on the status bar on the top of the screen i see 3G with the bb logo.
how do I recover Facebook messenger icon? I noticed my facebook messenger icon, my facebook disappeared from my home screen. I was able to download facebook icon but I don't know how...
I've upgraded my Xperia Z2 D6503 to 23.1.A.1.28 firmware a few days ago. Since then everything was fine till yesterday but from morning today i found that I'm not getting push notifications from facebook or messenger. I still don't know this is happening to other apps or not. What is the solution?
There are days where I may not have opened Facebook or Messenger at all, yet when my phone winds down to the 33% remaining battery range these two apps will both be anywhere from 7-10%. I'll specifically kill the processes after I do use them, but this proves to be futile. I've went as far as paying for Greenify to automated the hibernation of these apps, yet within a minute they wake themselves back up.
For now I've disabled both apps just for the sake of seeing if battery life is improved. I cannot understand why the apps constantly begin the processes after I have force stopped them. Even if I am no longer able to get notifications from these apps without them running in the background, I could live with that easier than I can live with them draining 15+% of my battery when I'm not even using them. Heck, I kill WhatsApp's process after using it, and they stay off until I open the app or receive a message - and I also instantly receive notifications when messaged despite the process not running. This makes the Facebook drain even more frustrating.
Friends who have the S6 have absolutely no issue with these apps draining battery, and I'm not seeing any real issues with them on here. Having to disable the FB and Messenger apps is a bit extreme.
i just bought my new bold 9700 and i faced 3 main problems.
1- whenever i tried to download any application through blackberry.com i face this messag "Sorry , your session has been expired. Please close all your browser windows and then return to the welcome page to start again." it was the only one page running at that time . i tried to restart the bb many times but i keep facing the same message.
2- Live messenger is not working . this message appears "Service not enabled for this handheld"
3- facebook application also not working ( i gess it is the same problem as live messenger)
I'm completely unable to use any of my personal ringtones that are on my SD in facebook messenger, they just don't show up I've got them in the right folders as far as I know and all my other devices worked fine, I put my SD card in my phone as phone memory when it asked and now I cannot access my internal memory with astro or any other file explorer so I'm unable to move these ringtones to my internal memory to test there... Every other program shows all my ringtones this one doesn't....
Is there a way to delete email contacts that are automatically archived once you email the person? I no longer have the contacts listed in my contact list but they appear in the list when I begin to enter a similar starting contact (e.g. john doe for john dosson)?

New update for windows nokia lumia 1020 plus new facebook update doesn't allow me to type in login info for windows messenger app let alone click anything on the login screen. deleted majority of my contacts and is giving me old contact info....
A hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again. So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
Got the new lumia 950xl yesterday in the UK, loving it so far but when I switch off my phone and back on again it seems to change the notification sound for Facebook and messenger, not really sure why so? Really annoying considering the messenger default is set to none so if I forget I won't know I have a message until I check my phone....
I was wondering if the messages that I send to another contact using Blackberry messenger are encrypted or not? I was searching for this online and all I could find was that the blackberry messenger is a wrapper around BB PIN-to-PIN messaging. PIN messages are supposed are not encrypted from what I could find online - which would mean that BBM messages are not too ..
When I try to send a message, it just stays in the message box, and then sometimes just sends randomly, this just started to happen like 20mns ago....I tried a battery pull, phone restart, and a restore file from yesterday, but nothing......
A friend and I both have blackberry Storms and use the messenger to communicate as she lives out of state. Recently she has been unable to recieve any messages I send from my end of the line. I recieve all messages that she sends, and my phone shows all my sent messages as being delivered and recieved when she checks for them, however none of these messages actually make it to her phone.
