I use facebook messenger as my main texting app on my HTC One. But after I updated to 4.3, I found that I am no longer able to send a group SMS/MMS message through FB messenger. When I try to add a second person to the message, it says I have reached the maximum number of recipients.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have several contacts on my BBM that work fine individually. I have 1 group set up on my BBM (I'm not the administrator). There are 4 members of this group. This group has been set up for a couple months and was working great until last week. Right now the other 3 members can send and receive messages normally. However, I can only receive messages. No one is getting anything I send the BBM group. We have tried several things to remedy this, but nothing has worked. We have deleted and re-added me to the group. We have started a new group (with the same administrator) and I have started a new group with me as the administrator. Still, no one is receiving my messages. Again, I can individually BBM with these same people no problem.

I always get the group notifications when I go to the mobile website, but this is annoying as I'm always having to check it every few hours. I am having problems with my BB Curve 8900 updating FB posts and posts from others in my group. It doesn't show the entire screen and when I "refresh" the device, it takes me back to one post that was last week and uses that as my home page.

View 18 Replies View RelatedThere are days where I may not have opened Facebook or Messenger at all, yet when my phone winds down to the 33% remaining battery range these two apps will both be anywhere from 7-10%. I'll specifically kill the processes after I do use them, but this proves to be futile. I've went as far as paying for Greenify to automated the hibernation of these apps, yet within a minute they wake themselves back up.
For now I've disabled both apps just for the sake of seeing if battery life is improved. I cannot understand why the apps constantly begin the processes after I have force stopped them. Even if I am no longer able to get notifications from these apps without them running in the background, I could live with that easier than I can live with them draining 15+% of my battery when I'm not even using them. Heck, I kill WhatsApp's process after using it, and they stay off until I open the app or receive a message - and I also instantly receive notifications when messaged despite the process not running. This makes the Facebook drain even more frustrating.
Friends who have the S6 have absolutely no issue with these apps draining battery, and I'm not seeing any real issues with them on here. Having to disable the FB and Messenger apps is a bit extreme.
I can send a message to someone but then I have to close the app and re open it to be able to send another message to them. (Ever since I installed 8.1.1)Â

I'm completely unable to use any of my personal ringtones that are on my SD in facebook messenger, they just don't show up I've got them in the right folders as far as I know and all my other devices worked fine, I put my SD card in my phone as phone memory when it asked and now I cannot access my internal memory with astro or any other file explorer so I'm unable to move these ringtones to my internal memory to test there... Every other program shows all my ringtones this one doesn't....

Not long after I deleted them and it was fine. Recently I have noticed those photos are coming back whenever someone in the group chat sends a photo. Based on this I believe it has something to do with the Accounts section with syncs the contacts and such to your phone.

It is always the same group of images that reappear despite the fact I constantly delete them. I have tried restoring the phone to factory settings, making backups with images deleted and restoring it, removing my accounts and retrying them along with several other solutions. However, I still cannot seem to delete the photos.Â

It shows them as offline to other people who are on their computers even though someone else can see you typing and receive messages just fine. It only shows the phone icon beside the contacts name.
