I reformat my blackberry OS, and all my contact and group in BlackBerry Messenger is lost... how to recover back the group that i did and no one knows the passwd... who is can invite people is me only.

My blackberry messenger has been working fine since I bought my blackberry. However, when i went to upgrade it today, it upgraded and then when I clicked on the icon it said uncaught exception, so I unistalled then deleted the app. Then I reinstalled it. It is showing on application management, and it is reinstalled, however I can't seem to find the app! What can I do to get it back?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have several contacts on my BBM that work fine individually. I have 1 group set up on my BBM (I'm not the administrator). There are 4 members of this group. This group has been set up for a couple months and was working great until last week. Right now the other 3 members can send and receive messages normally. However, I can only receive messages. No one is getting anything I send the BBM group. We have tried several things to remedy this, but nothing has worked. We have deleted and re-added me to the group. We have started a new group (with the same administrator) and I have started a new group with me as the administrator. Still, no one is receiving my messages. Again, I can individually BBM with these same people no problem.

I even tried the reboot solution for like 10 times it didn't work. I removed the battery for 1 hour the problem still persist. It shows on my home screen when I have pings but I can't read. Question 1.) Is that the reason why the icon disappeared (compatibility issue)? I have read issues on forums similiar to mine but it is not successful. I downloaded the BBM again and again; reboot the phone; but still it is not showing. I read something about BB device software version 6.0 (only one showi on the website).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Blackberry Curve 9300, it seems to freeze a lot lately, sometimes for hours at a time. Like this morning it froze from 12midnight until 5:30am. When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. After whipping out all my stuff now not only do I still experience the same problem of freezing, I now lost all my BB Messenger contacts that I can't restore. I now don't know what to do. how do I stop my phone from freezing all the the time and how do I restore all my contacts!

We are running BES 4.1.7.17. I'm drawing blanks on this one. Oh, and the email in his outlook has the attachments! So, we know that they aren't getting stripped on the sender's side.
