BB Torch :: Lost Messenger Icon After Update?
Jun 26, 2011I have lost my BB messenger after backup and updating my Torch handset. The current version I have seems to be difficult to ascertain. I am also unable to go and update via the Appworld because it is showing as if I already have the current version. Meanwhile people can send me messages but I am unable to get any on my set.

However, when i went to upgrade it today, it upgraded and then when I clicked on the icon it said uncaught exception, so I unistalled then deleted the app. Then I reinstalled it. It is showing on application management, and it is reinstalled, however I can't seem to find the app! What can I do to get it back?

Aug 25, 2010Seems like my boyfriend managed to delete the "Chat" icon on my Nokia E5 last night. Its the icon with a little yellow speech bubble on top of a bigger white speech bubble, the one that shows on the home screen. As I've lost this icon I cant use msn messenger. How can I get it back? I am sure it was there before as I used it and managed to log on to msn messenger.

There also happened to be the update to version 5.Now silly me, I didn't make a back-up as I didn't know that this update would remove all my info.... I assumed it was just the applications (which I can install again) but I realized I've lost all my BB contacts. (Of course I didn't back up that info either.. geez...)What I want to know is because I've registered before, shouldn't my info still show up in my contacts' lists? Isn't there a way for me to restore my contacts without adding them all over again?

Oct 19, 2012I'm using a Blackberry Curve 9300, it seems to freeze a lot lately, sometimes for hours at a time. Like this morning it froze from 12midnight until 5:30am. When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!
