I have lost my BB messenger after backup and updating my Torch handset. The current version I have seems to be difficult to ascertain. I am also unable to go and update via the Appworld because it is showing as if I already have the current version. Meanwhile people can send me messages but I am unable to get any on my set.
My blackberry messenger has been working fine since I bought my blackberry. However, when i went to upgrade it today, it upgraded and then when I clicked on the icon it said uncaught exception, so I unistalled then deleted the app. Then I reinstalled it. It is showing on application management, and it is reinstalled, however I can't seem to find the app! What can I do to get it back?
Seems like my boyfriend managed to delete the "Chat" icon on my Nokia E5 last night. Its the icon with a little yellow speech bubble on top of a bigger white speech bubble, the one that shows on the home screen. As I've lost this icon I cant use msn messenger. How can I get it back? I am sure it was there before as I used it and managed to log on to msn messenger.
All my pals are suddenly getting into Blackberry Messenger. For some reason i do not have the icon on my 8300 and whenever i try to download it i get a not compatible message back. can anybody out there help at all?

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520, firstly. I simply wanted to transfer some pictures to my laptop, and then I see something about an update for the Desktop Manager. There also happened to be the update to version 5.Now silly me, I didn't make a back-up as I didn't know that this update would remove all my info.... I assumed it was just the applications (which I can install again) but I realized I've lost all my BB contacts. (Of course I didn't back up that info either.. geez...)What I want to know is because I've registered before, shouldn't my info still show up in my contacts' lists? Isn't there a way for me to restore my contacts without adding them all over again?

I just lost my BB App World icon after doing the recommended update to version 188.8.131.52. I downloaded it twice but the icon is nowhere to be found. I know the application is on my phone, when I go to "options" and then "Applications" I see it listed. Just can't find the icon to open it. Usually I can find stuff in the Download folder. I have software version v184.108.40.2065 (Platform 220.127.116.11)
I have been trying to setup BBM on my phone, somehow i have created a username with no other information attached. Since then i have created a legitimate account with a different user name, but i can't work out how to remove the fake account to activate the BBM service.
Blackberry messenger failed to register with the blackberry messenger service. Regestraion is necessary to use the features of this application. your device time is correctly set, open the my profile screen and check the blackberry messenge regestration status.
I would like to know about the feasibility of the concept that if one of my friend (bbm user) lost his cell phone and would like to send message via any website through BBM PIN and get response over the same website.
I am currently using the bold 9780 and I'm upgrading to the new bold 9900 and I was wondering if you could transfer all of my blackberry messenger contacts to my new phone. I have 187 bbm contacts and writing them all down and adding them back one by one is definitely not an option I'm willing to make.
I'm having a problem receiving pics on bbm. I can send pics but just can't receive. It keeps saying my built in media support is full and my memory card is full. but its not.I have a 8520 curve, vodacom network. It just started recently. I could receive before. And I downloaded the new version of bbm some time back. I tried soft reboot and hard reboot.I've deleted and reinstalled bbm but nothing. my options under memory are set as media card support: ON,mass storage support on. I have a 8gig memory card.
I reformat my blackberry OS, and all my contact and group in BlackBerry Messenger is lost... how to recover back the group that i did and no one knows the passwd... who is can invite people is me only.
I'm using bold 9700 Orange. I've been clicking on the bbm icon for the past three days now it doesn't open. I even tried the reboot solution for like 10 times it didn't work. I removed the battery for 1 hour the problem still persist. It shows on my home screen when I have pings but I can't read. Other applications are working well.
I just got the Bold 9900, everything is working fine, except I can't see any of my contacts pictures on blackberry messenger. I can see two of my contacts pictures because they changed them, but others I can't see. Someone even said they had changed their picture and I still can't see it. I deleted the contacts and readded them but this didn't resolve the problem. Also, I can no longer uninstall BBM and reinstall it
I'm using a Blackberry Curve 9300, it seems to freeze a lot lately, sometimes for hours at a time. Like this morning it froze from 12midnight until 5:30am. When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. After whipping out all my stuff now not only do I still experience the same problem of freezing, I now lost all my BB Messenger contacts that I can't restore. I now don't know what to do. how do I stop my phone from freezing all the the time and how do I restore all my contacts!
I have a Blackberry Curve 8310.I tried to follow the instructions on a similar post and go to my address book to change the contact directions, However I lost my icon for the Address Book for some reason.how to make everything operable again?
My Blackberry Curve 8520 indicated that I must upgrade my bbm to a newer version before I could continue using it. I upgraded my bbm, but now all my contacts are gone! How can I get them back? I'm on Vodacom in South Africa
i recently updated my phone to os 5.411 and got the new bb messenger .57. i noticed the other day that the "recent Updates" section has gone and i cant get it back. i have checked the majority of options and uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing can brings it back.
I have somehow lost the icon for "contacts". My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!
