i recently updated my phone to os 5.411 and got the new bb messenger .57. i noticed the other day that the "recent Updates" section has gone and i cant get it back. i have checked the majority of options and uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing can brings it back.

I have a problem with my recent calls or rather the call log (sorry, but since English is not my mother language I might mix up the terms but let me explain)When I push the green phone button in the main menu I am used to finding a menu where i can see who I last called, who called me and so on. Little green and blue phone symbols next to the names indicate whether a call was incoming or outgoing.This menu does not work somehow. When I press the green button I get some kind of list, which looks pretty much like the one I just described and which always used to be there, but the phone icons and the timestamps are missing! So I cannot see, whether any given call was incoming or outgoing and what time the call was made.Is there any way to fix this?Can I somehow "reassign" the green phone button to my call log? Any help is greatly appreciated!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI downloaded YM last night, and when it was done downloading, I clicked on the YM icon, nothing happened. My BB just freezed, tried battery pull couple of time, nothing happened.
So, today I got a nerve to upgrade the OS from 4.6 to the latest released by my carrier 5.0.0.461. Upgrading was successful, but the YM was still not working, it just freezed my blackberry.
I even tried JMLcmdr to wipe al the whole thing on my BB and reinstalled the latest OS, still the YM problem persists.
What should I do now ? Was there something I did wrong while upgrading YM at the first place ?
I just got a new blackberry im very new with it, I'm told I'm not allowed to access my instant messenger's unless i get a contract... which i dumb because im prepaid, and last time i checked they sale blackberrys for prepaid so why cant prepaid customers cant get prepaid data plans... anyways... im trying to sign into my instant messenger for yahoo and msn that i downloaded from the blackberry site.... at first it told me when i tried to sign in i needed a activation code, to speak to a representative... so i did and... they told me different stories and a bunch of crap... then concluded that i wasnt able to access messengers unless i had a contract i was able to download and access with pantech duo smart phone and any other phone but black berry this is a big issue my 2nd phone i had to buy because of this issue

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am in West Africa for a while and have a UK network which has worked fine. I upgraded my software when i connected to the device manager and installed. Since then i have been unable to get any emails. I usually use my WI-FI connection, which is till working but i cant get onto FaceBook or emails it just says no data connection available. I can send text messages and make calls but no emails!! its drove me mad so i reverted back to the old version from my Data backup and installed that, thinking this would help, but it still hasn't. I have never had this problem before. I tried to take out the battery and chip but nothing. (not sure what i was version i was updating but the phone says V5.0.0.592) if that means anything!! The phone was insured but since the contract was canceled they won't honor it. Is there anyway he can retrieve his contacts in the Desktop Manager? View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter doing recent updates, the normal swipe-to-unlock feature of my Bionic stopped working. When I press the power button, I'm taken right to the home screen; I don't have to unlock. Even if I use Settings -> Location & Security and add a PIN or pattern lock, these do not work; each time I turn the phone back on, I go right back to the home. Sometimes the swipe screen flashes up but then disappears. The "Security lock timer" setting does not matter (i.e. it is set to 1 minute, but even after that, the phone is never locked. Occurs even after a hard reboot (shutdown, remove battery, power back up), although sometimes the swipe to unlock works for a short time. I've never rooted this phone or done much else beside install some apps from the Android Market. I do have Lookout running.

My Blackberry messenger refuses to send messages or receive updates!! I've had my phone for 7 months and have had no problems with it. I haven't changed my contract plan or anything but all of a sudden both BBM and FB stopped working!!I've removed and re-installed facebook and it still won't work. Some of my music files will not play or are no longer visible. I do not have the option to set up the facelock option, I also do not appear to have a phonebook any longer. Was my update incomplete? Is something wrong with my memory/micro SD card? Or is something else wrong with my phone?

iTunes (updated yesterday) and iPhone 4s are up to date with updates. When my phone synched yesterday, I lost all my music, except my most recent purchases. I also lost all my videos. Apps are not affected whatsoever.
When I look at the phone in iTunes, I can see all my music & movies listed as being on the phone but there is an "!" next to all the songs. The capacity bar shows what should be the correct amount, and there is about 10 gig of space free.
However, when I sync the phone with itunes, the capacity bar begins with what is currently (or accessible) on the phone, and then jumps to where it actually should be while it is on step 4, but then goes back to the lower amount it goes into step 5.

Everything was working fine until last night when I did the recent update. I updated fine, synced a new playlist charged up and popped out for a run this morning. Very surprisingly the GPS picked up straight away but it was very quickly apparent that the audio had gone. I say gone but not completely.. there was no 'workout started' and no music playing. 1st thing was to obviously turn the volume up which when max volume was reached I did hear the beep.
Next after removing the headphones, plugging them into my phone and using the free app that plays music to the beat of my steps (brilliant) i got home and did a factory reset. No difference, can hear the max volume beep but nothing else, I've tried other headphones and the same. When I go to the music and press play nothing happens literally.. no pause button comes up... it must be registering the headphones because I can hear the max volume beep but its the only thing I can think..
I have lost all of my music downloads and all of my recent photo's out of my gallery.What the Heck!!!!! Also when you go to photo gallery there are no picture tabs. Just the other day all of my contacts names and pics were gone but now have reappeared. I beleive this happened after I powerd the phone off. When I turned it back on there were updates that I installed but it seems to have happened like the next day or so. Is there anyway to get my stuff back? I can't find it anywhere in the phone. The first time it happened I loss all of my Easter pics. This can't be normal right? The only thing that remains in my phone are my blackberry transfers.
