I basically just talk to one person with BBM. She updates her status quite a bit. Lately I haven't been able to see "recent updates" in the main BBM window but I see her change it in the chat. Why can't I see recent updates?

So the box disappeared i dont know how it happened, it hasnt come back. I want it back! i'm thinking i probably pressed an option to make is go away, cause i was trying to screen munch something at the time so im not sure! i'll be sad if i cant get it back

well basically my phone was working fine yesterday night until this morning i checked it and i hadnt received any updates or pings saince 1 in the morning, ive tryed rebooting it and my pings dont send nor do i have any come through. My friends have tryed to ping me and it just comes up with "x" when they send the message. I am still able to whats app and text, what is going on

View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter doing recent updates, the normal swipe-to-unlock feature of my Bionic stopped working. When I press the power button, I'm taken right to the home screen; I don't have to unlock. Even if I use Settings -> Location & Security and add a PIN or pattern lock, these do not work; each time I turn the phone back on, I go right back to the home. Sometimes the swipe screen flashes up but then disappears. The "Security lock timer" setting does not matter (i.e. it is set to 1 minute, but even after that, the phone is never locked. Occurs even after a hard reboot (shutdown, remove battery, power back up), although sometimes the swipe to unlock works for a short time. I've never rooted this phone or done much else beside install some apps from the Android Market. I do have Lookout running.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the Market App was updated to ver. 3.1.5 on my htc Desire, that when I get a new message in the notification area that there are updates for any of my20 Apps and clicking on updates it goes straight into My apps but no updates are showing only installed apps so don't know what apps need to be updated, or if already updated it does not say what app was updated.On clicking on all my apps there is no ticks in any of the Automatic Update boxes! Before the update to ver. 3.1.5 you could see what apps needed to be updated and why and had a choice if you wanted it updated or not

Maybe some way to use two fingers to flip between these 2 apps? It would be a huge productivity boost for me.
I upgraded from 3GS to 4S. Synced old phone first, then synced new phone. All my txt msgs transferred over except for the last 6 weeks worth. Repeated the process, restoring new phone, same problem. How do I get my most recent msgs onto new phone?

I was lead to believe, from scouring these forums, that double tapping the home button will give a list of recent apps.if I open a multitasking app like the new eBay app (updated today) then close it using the home key and then reopen it it's righ where it left off as it should be.Now if I double tap hold down eBay and delete it from the list the next time I open eBay it opens from scratch.
So the list in the double tap screen is not a list of recent apps but a task manager to what is currently multitasking. For those apps that start from scratch just don't have the multitasking programmer into them.
Every once in a while my email goes back to the oldest messgae. What is the command to go to most current message.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've had the M8 for a couple of weeks,I've NEVER used the 'Recent Apps' button, except to clear out all of the recently used apps, thinking maybe its gonna free up some memory and make the phone faster or something. I wish you could modify this button to maybe something you actually USE more, like 'Settings', or go back to the much missed 'Menu' button. I have immediate access to over 50 apps/actions on my home screen, so it would actually be slower to bring up the 'Recent Apps' screen to access an app.

I cleared cache, etc. VZW is offering me a new phone, but it's "factory reconditioned" and I'd like to keep this one.
I use my phone now. The recent apps/multiwindow thing keeps popping up, no matter what I'm doing and even if I quit all my running apps. Despite restarts and complete phone drainage, this problem keeps occuring for the past month or 2.
I use my phone to play games a lot (like several hours a day), have active Line group conversations, use Facebook app frequently w/its Messenger app, and I also use Dodol Launcher for my phone too. I really don't want to go to the factory default method of fixing things, especially since it's a major pain to reinstall all the games that I have installed. However, a quick search through google doesn't seem to show any results about this continuous recent apps popup bug.
So I waited patiently in line for my iPhone 4 at my local AT&T store this morning. I paid and then left with my brand new phone. I decided to test out the RF of the phone by driving through weak areas. Places where my 3gs and Bold 9700 lost signal the 4 held on strong (calling and texting too). There were a few places where all phones were lost as far as getting a signal, but the iPhone 4 had usable coverage in places others didn't. Later in the afternoon I left on vacation (at the hotel now) and the iPhone 4 held on where the other phones always lost it (the gaps between two towers). My brother complained he didn't have any signal (LG AT&T phone) and I looked at my iPhone 4 and had 2 bars EDGE. Got to the hotel and only had 2 bars 3G with the iPhone 4. I put my brother's sim in my 3gS and that phone remained at 'No Service'. It won't magically create signal, but IMO the iPhone 4 does an amazing job of finding service and holding on in fringe areas. With all of the "reception" issues, I thought I'd just like to point out not all of us are having the same issues.
*I've used BB 9700, 3GS, and v3xx all within the past 3 months or so.
I updated my iPhone 4 last Sunday and since then, every time I send a text to a non-iMessage user, if the text is over 20 characters, I'm being told that it cuts off the last word and sends it as a second text to my friends. Is anyone else having this trouble? I know it isn't a big issue, but it's annoying to my friends to send two messages and the second only has one word in it. I'm with Sprint, but I can't imagine it being a carrier problem, right?

I just updated my X8 to the recent update using PC companion.The update was smooth and no problem at all.But today, the phone was slow even opening sms?I had tried clear all sms and free up the memory to 52MB, but still slow, the circle keep on running.I also tried reboot few times already.anyway to downgrade as the previous version works fine for me? I think it is 2.1 too.

Using Plantronics Pro bluetooth. Is this a proprietary block to aftermarket bluetooth devices?? Is there a setting I am missing. Oh, I checked the box under Location and Security for Bluetooth Bypass, which, I thought would have taken care of the matter since it directly addresses the issue, and is new to the list.
