IPhone :: Lost All Music Except Recent Purchases After Sync?
Jun 16, 2012iTunes (updated yesterday) and iPhone 4s are up to date with updates. When my phone synched yesterday, I lost all my music, except my most recent purchases. I also lost all my videos. Apps are not affected whatsoever.
When I look at the phone in iTunes, I can see all my music & movies listed as being on the phone but there is an "!" next to all the songs. The capacity bar shows what should be the correct amount, and there is about 10 gig of space free.
However, when I sync the phone with itunes, the capacity bar begins with what is currently (or accessible) on the phone, and then jumps to where it actually should be while it is on step 4, but then goes back to the lower amount it goes into step 5.

Jun 4, 2012I was recently roaming on my iphone 4, and was replying to a text when i saw the name at the top change to a number?
A little later i tried to retrive a telephone number and the person that i was looking for was no longer there? Upon futher checking i found that a number of recently added numbers (back about 3 to 4 months) had also disapeared?
I thought that it may have been something to do with roaming in another country, but back home now and contact have still not returned.
About the same time back as above, i added a gmail (New job) account, and on checking in gmail i have found that the telephone numbers are also missing from my contact details within my gmail account, of the contacts that i set up since starting this account?
Icloud is turned on and when i checked my hotmail account the contact information is stored there?

Nov 13, 2012I completed an update on my Atrix on Monday morning. Since then I have not been able to view my pictures that I took before the update. Some of my music files will not play or are no longer visible. I do not have the option to set up the facelock option, I also do not appear to have a phonebook any longer. Was my update incomplete? Is something wrong with my memory/micro SD card? Or is something else wrong with my phone?

May 6, 2012Everything was working fine until last night when I did the recent update. I updated fine, synced a new playlist charged up and popped out for a run this morning. Very surprisingly the GPS picked up straight away but it was very quickly apparent that the audio had gone. I say gone but not completely.. there was no 'workout started' and no music playing. 1st thing was to obviously turn the volume up which when max volume was reached I did hear the beep.
Next after removing the headphones, plugging them into my phone and using the free app that plays music to the beat of my steps (brilliant) i got home and did a factory reset. No difference, can hear the max volume beep but nothing else, I've tried other headphones and the same. When I go to the music and press play nothing happens literally.. no pause button comes up... it must be registering the headphones because I can hear the max volume beep but its the only thing I can think..

Jul 2, 2011I have lost all of my music downloads and all of my recent photo's out of my gallery.What the Heck!!!!! Also when you go to photo gallery there are no picture tabs. Just the other day all of my contacts names and pics were gone but now have reappeared. I beleive this happened after I powerd the phone off. When I turned it back on there were updates that I installed but it seems to have happened like the next day or so. Is there anyway to get my stuff back? I can't find it anywhere in the phone. The first time it happened I loss all of my Easter pics. This can't be normal right? The only thing that remains in my phone are my blackberry transfers.

Initially my iphone lost all the contact.After I try "Restore from backup" in itunes & luckily I got back everything including contacts. Dec 3, 2014Recently, my iPhone 5 had very little storage left. After deleting many apps I was able to free up enough space to update it from iOS 8.1 to 8.1.1. After that, I had very little storage again. Because of this, my phone started to act up, like apps not opening and text messages not being received. With this, the pictures to all of my contacts disappeared. I was wondering if there was any way to get them back without restoring to another backup?

Apr 15, 2012When I upgraded my wife's iPhone 3G to 5.1, I lost all her contact information and she ended up with mine.
During the upgrade process, I thought it backed up her data. But it doesn't seem to be available to restore. Isn't that a normal part of the upgrade process and shouldn't it be available somewhere?
Unfortunately, she did not sync this data with any application.

Jul 5, 2010I have an Iphone 3G, and this weekend, when I connected to Itunes, it upgraded to the 4.0 software and *SAID* it was backing up all of my information (contacts, calendars, etc). The software upgraded and it all works fine but *ALL* of my information is GONE! nothing is on the SIM card, because I tried putting it into another phone. I back up my entire computer to my Time Machine regularly. I spent 1 hour on the phone with a "Genius" while I wasn't at home who repeatedly nagged me to back up my phone. Tonight I spent 45 mins, most of the time, the "genius" didn't know where my contact data even saves. In the end, tried copying last back up before the upgrade to 4.0 software and restore my Iphone to that backup, but it was a no-go.

Jul 1, 2012My IPhone 4 connected to my mac today. Took a call, then looked through my phone and all the phone numbers have lost there contact name details. It seems that the problem is related to Sync as my contacts are located via microsoft outlook. But sync details are turned on and they are not syncing. Have backed up office 2011 and reinstalled fresh, and still not syncing is happening. So that would say that this is not an office related software issue. I'm lost to backup all and start from scratch.

Jan 11, 2012I bought my bold 9900 last november and back then I connected the phone to the computer and switch from the 9700 that i own previously. Since then I never connected the phone to the computer again until yesterday to update the software. In the middle of my first attempt to update there was a crash so I started again but for my surprise after de update has finished and i reinitiate the handset it seems that almost eveything was wiped out, I had to reinstal all the applications and when the phone was on it came the option the contacts from sim to be installed but then i have some contacts missing and part of the info of some of the ones that still there are also missing, the weird thing is the pictures that i had in the phone are all there.... DO you think theres anyway to get the contacts back? SHould I restore from the backup of the 9700 that i did when i bought the new phone?
