Oct 2, 2011After apdate my nokia E63 all of my contact No and SMS wich was in the phone all are deleted is there any way to get it back ?

Mar 11, 2011Normally, when somebody calls you, you can see the name and telephonenumber (when this someone is in your contactlist) in the screen of your phone. A couple of days ago (nothing strange happened) this suddenly changed and now I can only see the number of the caller and not the name, which I find quite annoying.

Feb 2, 2011I bought Nokia E5 and I found one of Its Important Features is Contact bar in Standby Mode i start to Define New Contact by Select Add Contact and Then Option and New contact .. then i defined the data foe ex. Home and Its Number 9999999 But After I add Home To Contact bar i want to remove it so i read the manual Guid and I did The Next Steps ....I open Home Contact and Then Select Open and The Select Remove it Remove .. so it Removed already from Screen Contact bar but when Select Add Contact or Search Application i found it still in Contacts.. I mean It Remove from Current Showing StandBY Screen Contacts but it still inside Contact but not Appeared in Screen Cause iam not Select it So How to Remove Home From Screen Contact and Contact Application ... In Both ... Delete it for Ever from all places in My Cell Phone E5 not Only From Current Showing Stand By Screen Contact

Jun 23, 2010when i receive an sms it only shows the number that send it, but that number is in my contactlist. I would expect that it would show the contact name. All sms message so far show only the number, except from 1 person. But i cannot figure out why it is not matching up the rest. I tried different phonenumber possibilities to put in the contact: I tried: erasing the contact, and add it via the sms menu option(add to contacts) erasing all sim contact to have no duplicates. upgrading to the latest firmware version. rebooting the phone,remove battery,add batterij, restart but nothing seem to fix the issue. Another symptom is that when sending an sms to a person it shows the contact list name in the sent items, but when that person replies the inbox shows again only the number.

Dec 29, 2010For no apparent reason the direct contact search is gone from my E72.I used to be able, from the main screen, to type in the names of contacts and they would automagically appear, for me to choose between hits.
That functionality is gone now, and I can't seem to find where to re-enable it..

The list does not open from any options or anything else.It does not even appear and open with empty contacts.After trying to open the shortcut or the Contacts menu the screen clears and returns to the previous page.

May 27, 2010I just bought my mom a new E72. One thing that has us stumped is how to insert a phone number from your contacts into the body of an SMS. Pretty much every phone I have ever used has an option to "insert contact" so that you can select a number from your addressbook and insert it into the body of the SMS. I have been unable to find this option in the E72. The only way I have managed to do it is in a very round about manner involving multitasking, going and opening the contact book, then finding the number, copying it, and then pasting it back in the text of the SMS. Is this the only way to do what I want or am I missing something obvious? I can't believe that such a basic functionality would have been left out of a "smart" phone ?

Oct 9, 2011I took a backup of my E 72 using PC suite on my laptop. and fomatted the memory card and took a hard reset of my phone as after software update the phn stopped alerting on receiving an sms. but now when I am restoring the data, i see a message everytime that "restore successful.phone will restart" but after restart there is no data restored from the back up. and also says that "due to insufficinet memory the back up file was saved on my laptop's desktop with the names - 1.) DEV and 2.) MMC".i need those messages as it has all my bank account details.i tried restoring only the messages from the backup file with extension "nbu." but all in vain.again it says "restore successful.phone will restart" but no messages are seen after the restart.
I have tried several times,restoring using ovi suite also but i get a message "something's gone wrong"

[note] the keyboard does have arabic letters printed on it so i hope i am sure in thinking i do indeed have a real Middle East version of the phone and not some European one brought and sold here.
