Yesterday I update my Nokia E71 software, after updating I am lost my all contacts, phone book and other most important document, I want recovery my all document.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI took a backup of my E 72 using PC suite on my laptop. and fomatted the memory card and took a hard reset of my phone as after software update the phn stopped alerting on receiving an sms. but now when I am restoring the data, i see a message everytime that "restore successful.phone will restart" but after restart there is no data restored from the back up. and also says that "due to insufficinet memory the back up file was saved on my laptop's desktop with the names - 1.) DEV and 2.) MMC".i need those messages as it has all my bank account details.i tried restoring only the messages from the backup file with extension "nbu." but all in vain.again it says "restore successful.phone will restart" but no messages are seen after the restart.
I have tried several times,restoring using ovi suite also but i get a message "something's gone wrong"
okia recently released new firmware for nokia e72 but my firmware is still not updating and still is 052.005 while new firmware is 071.004... its not updating using both pc and OTA... and gives msg "no update available"
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Nokia E5 and whenever I open OVI App to download stuff it says "there's an update available, update it" when I click on update, it redirects me back to my Menu and nothing happens!I tried to update it 20 times n everytime same thing happened to me.Its not updating, not opening, and I can't even download anything. Whatever I try to download it redirects me to OVI and it asks me the same update thing.

I don't want to configure Facebook and don't know how to avoid this.
So I just updated to Belle on my Nokia N8, and after it made a big thing of backing up my text messages, contacts, calendar entries and media, it seems to have lost most of this. After telling Nokia Suite to sync with my phone, it syncronised all of my media (music, photos) but my texts, contacts and calendar entries are nowhere to be found.

Mail and calendar are syncing OK but not the contactsThe user is 150 miles away and I don't have an E6 that I can play with here. I'm trying to talk her through editing the mail for exchange profile (and not having much luck). I'm sure if the phone was in front of me I'd sort it in 2 minsI've talked the user through going to Menu > Mail > Settings > Mail for Exchange > What to sync. She's telling me there's no option in there to select contactsWould anyone be able to tell me the exact button presses I'd need to check if contacts are set to sync and how to edit the Mail for Exchange profile to set them so that they do sync?

I don't know if this bug has been reported, but after successfully installing the latest firmware for my E5, I cannot get rid of the "WLAN scanning off" homescreen application on my screen yes, I have tried the following: menu --> settings--> general -->personalization -->standby mode --> homescreen applications --> unchecked the WLAN option (there's Calendar,WLAN, AIEMailPlugin and Contact Bar) . But the absurd "WLAN Scanning off" is still displayed out there in my screen This only occurs to the Contact Bar standby mode, no problems with Active/Vertical/horizontal/etc mode

I was updating my E72 using the Nokia Suite and the Windows crashed in between. Now my phone doesn't boot up, (pressing the power button creates a vibration but nothing else!) I have tried the hard reset methods mentioned on this website but they are not working!

I tried to switch between phone and memory card in message saving settings - it did not helped.
