So I just updated to Belle on my Nokia N8, and after it made a big thing of backing up my text messages, contacts, calendar entries and media, it seems to have lost most of this. After telling Nokia Suite to sync with my phone, it syncronised all of my media (music, photos) but my texts, contacts and calendar entries are nowhere to be found.
View 4 RepliesI have updated my Nokia N8 to Nokia Belle with Nokia Updater for Mac but I cannot find contacts, sms and notes. All disappeared and unfortunately I don't have a backup. It is urgent and important. At the end of the update it was asking me if I wanted to import contacts from another Nokia phone, but as it wasn't the case, I bypassed that option. Surely I did something wrong but I really do hope that contacts, notes and sms are saved somewhere on my Mac.

Before, it was found through Settings and Connectivity > Remote drives. Is it missing in Belle or it moved to somewhere else?

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to Bella N8 has synchronized with Outlook via Nokia Suite. The Calendar shows all the dates. I have two calendars. The first calendar comes with Mail For Exchange, the second from Outlook (synchronization with the Nokia Suite). Calendar Widget only shows events from the Exchange account, and newly added to the second calendar. It does not matter whether the added element: task, meeting. I can only see those that will add to the phone. Synchronized with Outlook do not appear.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I eagerly upgraded from Anna to Belle on my N8. Here is a list of missing features;
1) widget offline setting
2) automatic wifi enable when launching the browser, store or other internet app
3) bluetooth beep no longer present after turning off bluetooth
4) turning wifi on doesn't automatically pair with defined access point
5) task manager or open applications feature
6) automatic screen blanking while placing or receiving a call
7) wife connection drops but wifi radio stays on
8) touching battery icon indicates remaining power (same for other icons)
Another nit, apps that were previously downloaded when they were free, can no longer be downloaded without paying. Why does the upgrade remove your apps anyway?
I am still on Belle.In the month view of the calendar, the little triangles on the days with appointments are all blue. Why will they not show as a differe colour even when I am using multiple calendars with only one e.g. Red calendar appointment on the day?

Before going to sleep I went into the App Store and updated a bunch of apps. When I woke up I noticed all my iMessages and text messages had no names. i have tried to cut off contact from settings>iCloud and turning it back on and I still get nothing. I have also restarted my phone. Under back up it says that the last backup couldn't be completed. This was about 1:48pm est. How to recover them. I'm still using ios7 on an iphone 4s.

Everything worked well for over half a year until last Thursday.I sync my contacts, email and calendar with my Google Account via Mail for Exchange protocol. Contacts, calendar and email sync stopped working on Thursday. Manual sync does not work. I set up my Mail for Exchange mailbox again, reinstalled phone software.
