Everything worked well for over half a year until last Thursday.I sync my contacts, email and calendar with my Google Account via Mail for Exchange protocol. Contacts, calendar and email sync stopped working on Thursday. Manual sync does not work. I set up my Mail for Exchange mailbox again, reinstalled phone software.

View 5 Replies View Relatedthe mail app sucks on nokia belle ...it just stops synchronising on my n8 after sometime...let it be auto or manual sync, it just doesnt work...it was working on anna for me...i have tried everything also tried not using the ovi server for synching mails...still doesnt work .i am using the gmail id ....it only works for sometime after i reboot my phone...and then again stops.nokia need an update?

Everytime I remove the mail for exchange account, the contacts get deleted, but I want them to stay on the phone.
If not, I have VCards of the contacts, can I import those? I can't seem to be able to do this at all.
I got Nokia E75 and tried to set up my Hotmail via Microsoft Exchange (since hotmail allows to do this). But every time it sync, I receive the following error "Unable to sync. Contact administrator if problem persists." All my data including calendar, contacts and also received mail, is synced except sent e-mails. I really need all this stuff being synced!

I thought that Mail application can't see special symbols (#,!,...), but I have such problem for password with only small letters and digits.
I use the mail widget on my N8 which I never switch off, only turning it to "battery saving" at night. I notice that every 2 or 3 days, the widget does not launch the mail app anymore when I tap it. View 1 Replies View Relatedthe problem i am posting here relates to ovi mail software..roblems being faced..1. you can not attach files more than a total of 2048 kb and neither can you download2. whenever you try to download any attachment you get a notification "UNABLE TO PERFORM OPERATION".3. when checking mails that have images attached to it and are meant to be automatically downloaded, the device shows the status of image being downloaded and the status constantly remains idle at 0% and after a few seconds the same notification as you get in the problem no. 2. is displayedits highly dissapointing on the part of nokia, that after a peson who has spent a sum of INR 23,000 is getting such softwares and i really dont think a customer is expecting such softwares/performance after spending INR 23,000 onto just a PHONE.I really dont know whether the customer who have purchased N 8 are aware of this issue persisting in their phones or probably i should say they dont explore thier devices well enogh.I never expected that i will be so dissapointed after spending so much of money onto a phone that does not facilitate me even with the basic functions.And lastly one thing that is relly notable is that the phones from nokia itself which cost between INR 10000-15000 does not have such restrictions for mail.

Even though I've seen information about how to get Mail working with AOL, I'm still being challenged to find the correct info to insert into the fields as enumerated by Exchange Activesync on the 808.what to enter for all the fields as named in Exchnage Activesync, such as "server" and "domain name" and port number. This gets really confusing: Is the domain name an incomingt server or outgoing server, or something else entirely? Is the "Server" field for incoming or outgoing server? Is the "Port number" in advanced settings for the incoming or outgoing port?
