recently after maintenence of my E6 from nokia care I lost all contacts. however i kept the backup in OVI Sync but instead of Restore i Synced again and now i m tring to recover/restore the all my Contacts from OVI sync but not succeding. way how can i restore my contacts ?

Contacts, calendar and email sync stopped working on Thursday. Manual sync does not work. I set up my Mail for Exchange mailbox again, reinstalled phone software.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't seem to be able to sync my contacts to my Microsoft Outlook (2003) from my N8. It worked fine with the N85. I get an error message from Ovi Suite that neither Calendar nor Contacts could be synced but the Calendar does get updated. Unfortunately not the contacts. When I go to Sync Options and select Outlook for contacts and calendar I get a message from Outlook that it cannot connect to the Exchange Server, but I don't use Exchange server, I use a private e-mail account. I have tried to set up the account again as per the Ovi Suite error message (Error 83860004) but nothing. Of course also restarting Ovi Suite.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have new N8 with fresh Belle Refresh, no contacts in memory.I have tested Exchange ActiveSync connection with my google account.Everything works, contacts, mails and calendar were synced.Then i tried to turn off contacts sync - contacts from phone memory vanished.Then i deleted google mailbox and created new Exchange with other gmail account - since then contacts are not synchronized, even with sync turned on.I've deleted mailbox again and setup first one, still not contacts synchronized.

View 6 Replies View Relatedrecently left my company and now don't have exchange server anymore. Synced up Torch, successfully then removed Exchange Mail Account. Now contacts/calendar/mail etc is not in Outlook 2010. I know it's there, but haven't been able to successfully open a .pst file with that data. Now when I try to sync from Torch to Outlook, it tells me one or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again. I can't seem to locate the folder mapping option within the Desctop Manager.

This time, when I click on the option to restore it says that they have to send an email to verify that my email account is valid, I click ok and then it says that my email account (which is working perfectly on the phone) is invalid and they were unable to send a verification email and to check if the account is valid and try again later. During the install, Nokia Suite caused a problem with my PC and my PC rebooted. The Blackberry Bold is not synced with the Blackberry server but has about 1000 contacts (200 in 1st contact folder and 800 and in the 2nd).when I check the contacts options I see 2 contact folders both named "Desktop". My Boss wants me to merge all these 1000 contacts with the contacts on his Blackberry Torch. When I back up the contacts from Bold to outlook only 200 contacts gets restored and the remaining 800 dont.
I am using following method to merge I intend to use following steps to merge the contacts from 2 phones
I backed up both the devicesI exported all the contacts from outlook to csv fileDeleted all the contacts from outlookSynced the contacts from Blackberry Bold to outlook but in this case only 200 contacts get synced and not the remaining 800.Export the outlook to csv againMerge the 2 csvs and import to outlook
Despite the new update to PC Companion, I still cannot sync my Contacts. I can synch my Bookmarks which shows the connection is there, and I have to say that I think the SE website needs a total overhaul. I get a lot of blank pages and have to constantly refresh.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem started when I tried to make my N8 a bootable pendrive. I needed to make my E: (phone memory) NTFS. I copied everything, formated E: into NTFS and copied all my stuff back again. Thing is that N8 doesn't support NTFS. My apps that were placed on E: stoped working. So I quitted my bootable pendrive idea. I formated E: again using N8 itself, copied stuff back again. I even restored last working phone backup. Aaand my apps still don't work.

I've more than 700 contacts on my BB. Most of them are in sync with the old email address and 60+ are in sync with the new email address. If I download any application that has to do something with the contacts it only picks up the contacts. In sync with the new email. So I used a 3rd party software to install the generic PR 1.2 firmware (latest version), and it's working great, very happy .
Now I'm left wondering... How do I restore the operator firmware incase anything goes wrong with the phone? (and no, i didn't make a back-up). If I restore the phone to factory defaults, will this restore the operator firmware?
My N8 Phone memory is down to 10 mb so I want to do a hard reset and restore to clear the memory, if my backup via Nokia suite will restore my current anna version or will I have to switch to belle, which I really do not want to do?
