Contacts, calendar and email sync stopped working on Thursday. Manual sync does not work. I set up my Mail for Exchange mailbox again, reinstalled phone software.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought a 5800 Express Music and am very new to the world of mobile phones. I have had a Yahoo Mail account for the last ten years and would like to be able to access it throught the phone's email system.
This is what I've done: In Settings Wizard, click Email Setup.
-Phone says "Allow application to use network to send or receive data?"
-I say "yes".
-Phone says "Testing network", then "Contacting email server".
-Phone gives me a screen with Yahoo, Gmail, Ovi etc.
-I click on Yahoo, then write my Yahoo email address.
-Phone says "Getting email settings", then "Unable to connect with the information provided. Please try again".
After setting for Mail for Exchange, my Nokia E7 phone shows low memory. I checked C Memory & there are only important files & that too of small sizes. All major Applications are installed in Mass Memory only. Is "Low Memory" issue due to Mail for Exchange? If so, is it possible to transfer / change the data of Mail Exchange to Mass Memory instead of Phone Memory?

1) at out city both 2G and 3G coverage are available by BSNL
2) when I keep my mobile in Dual mode then its catches 3G coverage
3) but when we go somewhere out from city where 3G coverage is not available then my mobile catches 2G coverage......and here problem starts when mobile have coverage and if I calls or do SMS or I got any call or SMS the mobile loses coverage each time for 10 seconds( at this time of 10 seconds if some call me then I will be out of coverage area even if I am front of the mobile tower this is the biggest problem I have ever faced in Nokia's phone ever) and again catches 2G signals This same thing happens every time when I am in 2G signals Nokia should solve this problem soon.
i recently connect my Nokia 500 to a WiFi connection all things are going good then.i try to connect it by 3g nothing happens in the browser then i reinstall firmware than it say connection fails and then after few more trials nothing happens in the default browser or any other app also.every app i trying to connect nothing happens no error nothing..when i goes to connectivity setting all the things freeze in belle.i have check for virus but nothing found now what to do?

I notice that every 2 or 3 days, the widget does not launch the mail app anymore when I tap it. Power on/off cycle resumes correct behavior.I am currently trying to find if anything special might trigger the bug, but did not find anything so far.
View 7 Replies View Relatedthe problem i am posting here relates to ovi mail software..roblems being faced..1. you can not attach files more than a total of 2048 kb and neither can you download2. whenever you try to download any attachment you get a notification "UNABLE TO PERFORM OPERATION".3. when checking mails that have images attached to it and are meant to be automatically downloaded, the device shows the status of image being downloaded and the status constantly remains idle at 0% and after a few seconds the same notification as you get in the problem no. 2. is displayedits highly dissapointing on the part of nokia, that after a peson who has spent a sum of INR 23,000 is getting such softwares and i really dont think a customer is expecting such softwares/performance after spending INR 23,000 onto just a PHONE.I really dont know whether the customer who have purchased N 8 are aware of this issue persisting in their phones or probably i should say they dont explore thier devices well enogh.I never expected that i will be so dissapointed after spending so much of money onto a phone that does not facilitate me even with the basic functions.And lastly one thing that is relly notable is that the phones from nokia itself which cost between INR 10000-15000 does not have such restrictions for mail.

Even though I've seen information about how to get Mail working with AOL, I'm still being challenged to find the correct info to insert into the fields as enumerated by Exchange Activesync on the 808.what to enter for all the fields as named in Exchnage Activesync, such as "server" and "domain name" and port number. This gets really confusing: Is the domain name an incomingt server or outgoing server, or something else entirely? Is the "Server" field for incoming or outgoing server? Is the "Port number" in advanced settings for the incoming or outgoing port?

Previously, the text used to be in white before ANNA update. Now I don't see any option to change the color. How to change this color ? View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using my N8 with my virgin mail account happily for about a year. Recently I've found that outgoing messages are getting stuck in the outbox. They sometimes send (several days later) after I have restarted my phone. I thought I would try removing the mail box and starting again, after a couple of attempts the mail box was removed, but when I tried to set it up again.
It seemed to hang in the middle of the task and I ended up with a mail box with a string of hexadecimal numbers as the mailbox name. Now I cannot remove it : whenever I try to remove it, I get as far as 'removing mailbox' and then it just hangs there (have left it overnight). Possibly related, I have had a couple of messages recently about phone memory being full, but if i look at it through file manager it has 116MB free, and nothing in there which looks like it could obviously be removed.
Anyone else out there own a 700? This thing is just a disaster! I've owned Nokia phones (an no other make) for over 10 years, but this is by far my most disappointing experience. I am at wits end and near the tipping point (of purchasing an iPhone 5).Nearly 1 in 5 times I use the darned thing it crashes. Also, my icons for search items are gone (except for restaurants). I restored the phone and now it won't download any maps! I used to have complete maps for the USA, Canada and Mexico, but now it will not even download the USA.I can not download the latest firmware (version of Symbian). My phone says it is up-to-date, but it is not. I do not have a PC so I can not use Nokia Suite (why? Nokia, get real and write a Mac version already).
When I reboot my phone it will not receive voice mail or text messages! I have to reboot it again.Why is this phone so buggy? I'm sending it in for warranty repair but I don't think I want this or any Nokia software phone. I think I'll try a Nokia Windows phone if Nokia will give me some credit for this phone and allow me to apply it towards the Windows versions. I mean seriously, Apple has their bomb proof software that works. If there is a bug, give them a week and there's an easily obtained update. I'm not an Apple fanboy, but I'm being driven away. Can someone help me make this right? I'm sure whatever Nokia tech looks at my phone will say it is fine, it's the software that is uncooperative.Anyone else with a 700?
